We (a family of four; both children are grown up) selected the appartment, because we liked the outdoor roof terrace. And indeed, it was the highlight of the appartment: we had breakfast there every morning of our seven-day-stay and we also spent several evenings there. The terrace is spacious and the view nice. Only the noise of the cars on the street far below remind you that you are in a major city. And one detail made my wife (a passionate gardener) and my daugther sad: Most of the plants beautifully scattered over the terrace had died, probably because the appartment had been empty for too long due to Corona.
Other reports mentioned the stairs and the small escalator - for us (I am turning 58 these days and my wife 51) this was no problem at all. We even enjoyed the small exercise and distancing from the world below. The appartment itself is spacious and should be fine for sleeping if you are used to sleeping with air conditioning. We have never gotten used to any air conditioning in any hotel (disliking its noise or light when operating, catching a cold whenever we used it, being too environmentally concious to accept its energy use). We therefore had to open the windows (in the lower bedroom in the hallway, in the upper bedroom towards the terrace) which brought in some mosquitos and noise from the street and from the other machinery (air conditioning?) in the inner courtyard. The kitchen was sufficient for our purposes and the bathrooms were nice.
The communication with the manager and the office personell ran smoothly most of the time. We enjoyed the service of being connected to a hotel. However, when we checked out it became clear that they are not very often renting through VRBO. They expected us to pay city tax on top of our rental, although they did not mention it in their offering. Rather, "all taxes included" was displayed by VRBO. It is rather sad for us that they are now unhappy with us although we only accepted their "all-inclusive" offer. Due to Corona the offer was quite attractive.
We once visited the restaurant that the hotel belongs to. The food was fine, but not outstanding; the waiter was a nice and funny person.
