Excelente hotel
Disfrutamos mucho la estancia en el hotel, ya que se encuentra muy cerca de la terminal de tren y tambien de la zona turistica como la fuente de trevi, el hotel esta super limpio y comodo, la cama muy comoda, eramos 3 personas y pusieron un catre extra pero tambien comodo, el baño y regadera super limpios, la zona es super segura, sin duda regresaria a ese hotel.

El hotel funciona en un Piso 3 de un antiguo edificio, es una experiencia muy vintage… hay que desconectarse del estilo tradicional de los hoteles americanos, el personal es muy atento y familiar. Muy buena experiencia. Mis hijos decían que era un viaje en el tiempo, sobre todo por el ascensor. La zona es buenísima para conectar con trenes o buses porque está muy cerca de Roma Termini y de sitios de interés como Fontana de Trevi, entre otros..

Me cobraron de mas en el hotel en los impuestos 2 euros por persona y menores de 10 años no pagan y al final no lo cobroron y le comente que estaba mal y el recepcionista no lo cobro a la fuerza muy mal

La entrada al hotel es en un piso 3, al principio nos pareció extraño, pero el hotel es maravilloso, la calidad de la atención es inigualable y la ubicación excelente.

NO ES UN HOTEL. ES UN MITAD CAMINO ENTRE AFFITTACAMERE Y HOTEL. NO TIENE ACCESO DIRECTO DESDE LA CALLE Y ES TODO MUY VIEJO. LOS ESPACIOS COMUNES SON REDUCIDOS E INCÓMODOS, EL MÁS USADO ES UN PASILLO AL AIRE LIBRE. EN EL BAÑO DE MI HABITACIÓN ERA MUY COMPLICADO ENTRAR A LA DUCHA POR LO PEQUEÑO DEL HABITÁCULO. TODO NECESITA RENOVACIÓN DESDE LAS ALFOMBRAS A LAS COLCHAS , LOS MUEBLES DE LA HABITACIÓN FORRADOS EN PAPEL Y EL SISTEMA DE LLAVES. DESTACO COMO MUY BUENO Y CORDIAL EL SERVICIO DE LA SEÑORA ENCARGADA DEL DESAYUNO

Hotel céntrico y tranquilo
El hotel está bien ubicado, muy cerca del metro "Reppublica" y de la Via Nazzionale por donde pasan muchos autobuses. No al lado, pero cerca (se puede ir andando si no vas muy cargado) de la estación Termini para coger los autobuses a los aeropuertos. El hotel ocupa la tercera planta de un edificio "clásico" (lo que incluye antiguo, pero regio). El sitio tiene cierto encanto, y está rodeado de edificios del ministerio del interior, con lo cual hay fuerte vigilancia y es una zona tranquila por la noche (se duerme bien). Hay unas 20 habitaciones (nos dijeron) y las instalaciones son básicas, un comedor pequeño para el desayuno y unas mesas para tomar algo en una terraza interior que es el pasillo que une dos escaleras. La atención es agradable, aunque en nuestro caso un poco "tranquilos". Tuvimos problemas en el baño en una de las habitaciones y nos decían que lo apuntaban, pero no tomaban acción. Pudimos convivir con los problemas, pero nos dejó sabor agridulce. La habitación está decorada en estilo clásico, pero no estaba vieja. Las paredes enteladas, pero en buen estado, el baño funcional (completo con cabina de ducha) y una cama de matrimonio grande y cómoda. La TV pequeña, con muchos canales pero con mucha "morralla" de teletiendas y demás. Ningún canal en Castellano o Inglés. Tampoco nos importó mucho. El único problema es el comentado ascensor. Muy antiguo, de 200Kg de capacidad, y que estuvo parado tres días por mantenimiento sin previo aviso.... pfffff

Satisfactoria estancia
Estuvimos durante 4 días. El personal del hotel es muy amable y servicial. La habitación era muy amplia aunque carente de decoración.

Après l’annulation de notre vol prévu à 20 h30 à la dernière minute par easy jet nous avons dû trouver une solution d’urgence. L’hôtel se trouve dans un vieil immeuble du centre de Rome . Les chambres sont meublés à l’ancienne et très petite . Il se trouve en plus au 3 ieme étage. Seul point positif la gentillesse du personnel .

Absolutely loved this hotel and the staff!! Its very close to a metro stop and plenty of restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room (for 3 people) was very spacious, the beds very comfortable and the included breakfast was continental but substantial. It was the best hotel of our 2 week trip and we would definitely stay there again!!

The hotel is very well located near most tourist sites. I liked the hotel and the staff were excellent. The breakfast was adequate. The only issues I have is that the lift is very old and small, the room has no fridge but I knew that at the start and the way the shower was designed made it awkward to get into. Other than those minor things I liked the hotel and would stay there again

Thank you for your review, I would just like to point out that all our rooms are equipped with a minibar fridge, I don't know why you didn't look for it in the TV cabinet in your room, you didn't ask at reception and above all how did you find out before you didn't there was!

A friendly hotel, with a wonderful continental breakfast. Highly rated by other users and we liked it, too. Not too far from the historic sites which can be easily reached along Via Nazionale. Also quite convenient to the main train station. The neighborhood features many delightful restaurants.

Very small rooms, bathroom, no place to even put your soap in the shower. Have to hang your towel next to the bidet and toilet. Upside, very clean.

Dear James, maybe you are not used to european's rooms size. The one you had is a confort and it is the one you have reserved. Also, and to be clear, in the bathroom one of the towel holders (there are two) is positioned at the top. Happy travels, Kira & Stefano

Kira and Stefano were diligent and caring hosts. The rest of their team was also very kind and helpful. We had a fabulous stay and really enjoyed the property’s central location. We would definitely come again and recommend the Hotel Oceania to all our friends and family.

Very nice hotel. It was very clean and quiet and walkable from the train station and attractions. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk spoke English, were friendly and easy to work with, which was very much appreciated being our first-time visiting Italy.

2/6/2024 Recommended if you are looking for a quiet, clean and comfortable place, it is not the most luxurious but it is very cultural in its origin, which is what makes it more typical of Rome. It's small but you have everything you need. The people were very friendly, immediately what you needed didn't take long to arrive.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Oceania. Room was a good size for 4 and staff were friendly and courteous. Rooms nice and clean every day we came back in. There were some renovations going on, but they weren’t intrusive and didn’t detract from our stay. A nice spot, central to Rome and main attractions. Happy to stay again.

A great little hotel and great value.
I arrived at night - and a word of caution: the entrance hallway is a little dark and if you don't notice the wire cage elevator on the left and don't know to go up to the third floor, you can be a little lost. Once you find the lobby on the third floor, you are all set! The rooms are large, the beds great, the water hot, and a nice continental breakfast is available if you wish. The hosts were very helpful in recommendations. The location is very good. I will definitiely stay here again.

I stayed here for 4 nights in November. The hotel is within walking distance to major landmarks (roughly 15-20 mins). There are lots to like about this hotel. It is quaint, homely, and has a lovely terrace. I loved the fresh pastry and delicious cappuccino served at breakfast. My room was a moderate size for a solo traveller, with a lot of space to put away my belongings and a luggage rack for my suitcase. The bathroom is spacious and clean. The staff is the best. Kira, Stefano, the two Maurizios, Mario and other members (whose name I don't know) were warm, friendly, helpful and personable. When I had an unfortunate situation touring in Rome, the hotel staff helped me and never made me feel I was asking much from them. Such genuine people who made me feel right at home. I would stay here again, if I am ever back in Rome.

This was a quaint family hotel. The owner and staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast staff saw to our request of hot chocolate and I'm sure they would do what was needed for our comfort! We did have a problem getting TO the hotel for our transportation! And had a little problem locking our room but got help for that!

The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and in good repair considering it is clearly a very old building. It was unexpected to find that the hotel occupied the 3rd floor of a building labelled a church. Knowing that up front would have made it easier to find in the dark.

Very quaint hotel in a central area - located within minutes of Tremini train station and the metro. Lovely staff! Hotel is on the 3rd floor of the building (there is a lift) with other establishments…I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very quaint, but very comfortable and equipped with smart TV’s which was nice after traveling for a few weeks just to have the option of English TV. The hotel itself is quiet, I think we saw 2 other guests. But the hallways are noisy, and the way our room was situated we could hear people on other floors. One morning was particularly noisy when a woman on the floor below us started cleaning before 7 am. It was extremely noisy and she didn’t seem to have any concern for trying to be quiet. From filling pails with water and going in and out of a cabinet which was outdoors…it was a lot. No fault of the hotel’s, but ot was worth noting as it may prevent me from booking again if I return to Rome. If you are looking at booking this place please be quiet in the hallways. Especially if you are grown adults who know better. There was a larger group of female travellers here at the same time who were extremely noisy in the hallways at a late hour, with no regard for others. Beds were comfortable, bathroom well-equipped, hot water was not consistent, and the shower door opening was quite narrow. We’re not small people but not *enormous* - if you are a plus size lady you may struggle to get in the shower.

charming old style hotel

Subpar and Misleading 4-nights Stay
The room we received was possibly the worst in the entire hotel, but it still should not have been as poor as we found it. While the bathroom had been renovated, the rest of the room was in very bad condition, with extremely old and dirty wallpaper, doors, and windows. The room's door was also damaged, and we could hear everything from the corridor outside, indicating poor sound insulation. The room's air quality was dreadful, with virtually no ventilation (not even in the bathroom!!!), extremely high humidity, and a moldy smell. Additionally, there was noise from the street due to the window being so old and damaged that it barely made a difference whether it was open or closed. Despite being a family room, there were inadequate surfaces for our belongings to left on and there wasn't even a single available electrical outlet to charge our phones. When we complained about the room's condition, noting that we chose this hotel based on the pictures and reviews, we were told that the pictures were only samples. Regarding the bathroom ventilation, they informed us that because it was the weekend, they could not find a technician to come and check it. As for the lack of electrical outlets, we were advised to unplug one of the bedside lamps to use the outlet.

We stayed here for 4 nights and for the price, it was excellent. The room was as fairly basic, but was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff is wonderful - very kind and inviting. The location of this hotel is really good - 1 block from the metro station, close to lots of shopping and restaurants, and walking distance to many of the main attractions in Rome.
