Maria was an excellent host. Allowed us to store our luggage as we just got off a trans Atlantic cruise till the apartment was clean and ready which gave us a great head start. To seeing the sights without having to worry about our luggage. The apartment was roomy for two adult couples extremely clean and great blackout shade's. Short walk to train and Vatican City. Where we spent a lot of time. I highly recommend Maria as a host as well as her place for a visit to Rome.

My sister and I stayed in Maria's apartment for 8 nights and we were extremely happy that we chose this property. We are older and safety, comfort and convenience were important to us. The apartment is very well located, we easily walked to St Peter's and the Vatican Museum and did a longer trek one day to explore Trastevere. At the end of the street is the train station, which is very clean and reliable and will take you anywhere in Rome, very inexpensive. There are good restaurants in the area as well as an organic fresh market about a 10 min walk away which is great for produce, fresh pasta, cheese, etc. The kitchen is small but adequate, we cooked several dinners in our apartment. Beds were comfortable, the A/C system is very quiet. The showers are a bit on the small side but not a problem for either of us. There is construction across the street but the workers don't start until 8 am and stop promptly at 5 and at this point it seems to be mostly interior finishing being done so it is not that noisy. Maria was truly a wonderful host, responding to our questions promptly, arranging for taxi to the airport and giving us a recommendation for a tour operator for a day trip to Tivoli. We had dinner one evening at Sorpasso in the Preti neighborhood which she had recommended and it was fantastic. Remember, this is an apartment and not a hotel, you will be living more like the locals, which we enjoyed and appreciated. Thank you, Maria, for a memorable Rome vacation!

This is such a lovely place and the location is perfect! Maria was wonderful and greeted us upon arrival. Spotlessly clean in a quiet building. The patio was perfect for having coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. We highly recommend staying here!

Air conditioning excellent, kitchen had all amenities, black out shutters for bedrooms excellent. Lots of wardrobe space, all rooms very spacious. Great local restaurants, markets, pharmacies etc for any needs.Excellent communication from host throughout, with very easy check in and check out process.Would stay here again and definitely recommend to others.

We didn't really use the kitchen at all. It is walking distance to the Vatican, but it is pretty far from the other main attractions (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, etc.). Most of the time, we used the bus system. It is close to a train, but the directions from Apple Maps usually had the bus as the faster or more convenient option. It is really close to a bus station. Maria is amazing. She is super responsive and helpful. She is very kind, and we LOVED working with her. The apartment is delightful. It is very clean and pretty large. It was very comfortable, and we were able to use the washer and the drying rack for our clothes. It was well equipped so far as we needed although we didn't cook anything in the apartment. Truly, the only thing that wasn't perfect was just that it took us a bit to get to the main city center of Rome. Otherwise, it was absolutely wonderful.

For a Family of Four

My family and I enjoyed a five night stay in the San Pietro neighborhood in Rome. The apartment felt like a diamond in the rough; it was a sanctuary from the urban crowded vibe that Rome gives. The apartment had ample room for the four of us. With two bathrooms and two bedrooms, we had plenty of space for our gear and then some. The apartment is well appointed from the kitchen to the furnishings to the bathroom amenities to the very comfortable beds. We made use of the washing machine and drying rack; we enjoyed a movie on Prime Video with the smart TV; and we kept cool during the heat wave in Rome. Beyond this, our host Maria was very gracious and nothing short of amazing. Her self check-in instructions, as well as the binder for guests, were detailed, her correspondence was on point and nearly immediate. I could tell she really cared about not just our stay in her home, but our time visiting a city she loves. We were incredibly grateful for the host that Maria had been. If you are a family of four -- or five or six -- who could use the amenities of home and an acquaintance with the heart of a guide or seasoned traveler, please do consider Maria's apartment on your next visit to Rome.

Outstanding place to stay and close to awesome food and transportation.

This was a great place to stay. It’s in a nice quiet neighbourhood close to so many things. A great restaurant is just 3 minutes walk away. It’s close to the bus stop or an easy place to catch an Uber/taxi.

Comfortable and clean but with a few quirks

It was a nice apartment to come home to at the end of a day of touring, but don’t expect everything to be perfect or of the best quality (e.g., bed linens).
