  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years.   • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

The cabin had everything we needed for a fantastic girls getaway. Plenty of room to spread out. The large windows were perfect to enjoy the first snow of the season from the warmth of the cabin with a great fireplace.

The grill that advertised as new was unusable. Grates were completely burned through and it had food from previous occupants. Floors were filthy. The kitchen sink backed up every time we turned the water on. Place is very secluded and this was what I was looking for. But could have been cleaner

Beautiful house, great location, responsive staff. We stayed here with 3 different families and were very comfortable. There were a few issues with the water pressure (would shut off in the middle of showers if any other faucet was running) and there was a leak into the lower bunk room just randomly the one time from upstairs. Definitely well water with a metallic taste to it, so expect to bring your own water if you have picky tastes. For where you are, this house is absolutely beautiful and great for a quick family gathering.

Red Route One Cabin

A very nice cabin, with beautiful trees surrounding back side. Plenty of room overall. Parking easily accommodated our group. Decor was tasteful. Easy to find the property. Kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Only drawback was fire ring area small and a bit steep for the chairs. Otherwise a perfect stay!

We had 4 couples meet at the property for New Year’s Eve celebration for 4 nights. We were very pleased with the property. It was bright, roomy, and clean. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and a large main table for meals and game playing. Conveniently located in a very safe neighborhood of cabins. A few things to note that would make the property even better. The bedroom doors in the basement are sliding barn doors. The last room (past tv) in basement had issue with door. It would not stay closed. It would slide open as soon as it was closed. One of our couples couldn’t make it so we did not use the room due to the door. Nor did we bother to report to property. A desk and sturdy chair for those traveling and working remote would be a great addition to house. The bedrooms all need at least one chair. House had rickety furniture throughout. Table and chairs in basement, shelves in bunk room, and benches at main dining table. All needed to be tightened. There's no cable service. Be ready to use yoir streaming services if you want to watch any live sporting events. We would definitely book again. The things i mentioned were minor and could only improve property overall.

The house and location is nice but there were several things you can do to improve. I texted the number provided in the binder to call or text if any issues on Monday. On Thursday, I called and left a message. I received a call back from another number stating the number I texted and called is not the correct number!?! curious how they knew to call me back if that wasn't the right number. The drains in the kitchen and one of the downstairs bathrooms drained very, very slow. The hot tub was filthy and no instructions on how to start the gas fireplace. The housekeeper came on Friday (we left next day) and cleaned the hot tub and also helped figure out the fireplace (had to take the logs and stones out to find the pilot and it seems it wasn't properly set up). The housekeeper was helpful.

Beautiful cabin

We had a great time hanging out in the cabin, exploring the area and hiking. The cabin was clean and well stocked with whatever we needed. We used the pool table, hot tub, TV’s and the fire pit. Our family of 12 all had a great get away!

Like the title says, we checked out this morning, and have already discussed booking Red Route 1 again for next year! Hoping the fireplace and garbage disposal issues are a distant memory by then! VERY minor inconveniences in an overwhelmingly wonderful experience! Lovely, well-equipped cabin.

modern cabin close to hiking

We had a great girls weekend away at this cabin. It was very clean and had plenty of space. The kitchen is large and organized. The hot tub was nice and having a screened porch on one of the balconies is great. There were bath towels provided. We did the natural rock bridge original trail which was only a 9 minute drive away.
