Everything we needed was there. Two small comments... consider providing matches or a stick lighter. Matches wete literally a last minute additon to my gear. The 1st floor bedroom could use more lighting ... maybe there was a light on the fan but either it was out or i couldnt figure out how to turn it on.The marshmellows and graham crackers were appreciated!

We had a great long weekend with our kids at Hillside Haven! The property is incredible with trails, waterfalls, and caves to explore. It turns out, the cabin had been renovated but the VRBO listing wasn’t yet updated, so it was nicer than the photos. The Property Management company was reachable and responsive when our door code didn’t work initially and when we needed a map of the trails on property. The hot tub was also very nice and worked as expected. You definitely have privacy at the cabin, though there is road noise, but it didn’t bother us at night. The location is great, being very central to everything you might want to do at the State Park and RRG. Despite all of these positive things, our family wouldn’t book this cabin again. The issue with the listing not being up to date is the beds are different than listed. The listing said 1 Queen, 1 Full, and 2 twin beds. We arrived and found only 2 full beds, a couch that was not a pull out, and 2 chairs with ottomans in the loft. Our boys are big enough that they can’t/wont sleep together in a full size bed, so my 6’2” teenager ended up sleeping in a big chair with a long ottoman in the loft. I felt awful for him! I will say, my husband and I also didn’t sleep well in a full size bed. This was super disappointing, as we hiked a lot and were exhausted and needed good sleep. Again, this cabin is incredibly nice, but we would not book again, as we didn’t get what was advertised.

Little things add ip

The location was terrific! Unfortunately, after a long drive and our car be goal for evening being a glass of wine and hot tub, the “hot tub” was at 64. Maintenance really should have refilled it a day before our arrival, not hours… however on one jet (semi) worked the whole time so…. The bed upstairs was solid and comfy too bad the stairs up are pretty steep and the only bathroom downstairs, we chose to sleep on the creaky metal bed on main floor. Maybe offer same comfort downstairs? Finally, the 2 wash cloths provided were extremely worn and rough… no wonder, they had “CLEANING” written on them. Local restaurants were great, hiking In the area is top notch! Get firewood from an outside source or bring it with you, the wood offered on site barely charred. We probably would not return solely because the little mosses that added up.

Cute & cozy

We enjoyed our stay at the Hillside Haven very much. Everything was great except the washing machine. Not a deal breaker for us at all but if you are going to stay several days & plan to wash clothes this would be a problem. Communication was great, cabin itself was perfect. The cost of firewood is pricey for what you get so if you want a fire I’d take your own. Overall we were pleased & would recommend this host/property or other properties they have to offer.

Girls trip

Was pleased with everything but water. Stunk bad, yellow like pee was always in commode. We didnt shower the whole time because of smell. And didnt use Hot Tub due to nasty of the water. So this was a issue for me. I life with well water in my house, bit never have i had smells or water looked like this.

Great stay.

We love the Natural Bridge area so much. We always camped. This year for our anniversary we decided to get a cabin. This was the best idea. Absolutely LOVED the cabin itself. The location is prime . The amenities and everything was just as were advertised. We will return. Probably with the grandkids !

Nice place but this VRBO listing is inaccurate

This VRBO listing needs to be updated to reflect that there are no longer any bunk beds in the second floor loft. The pictures and bedroom descriptions still show bunk beds. We rented this cabin specifically because we needed extra beds for our children so we were very disappointed when we arrived and saw the bunk beds had been removed.

Weekend getaway

Quite cozy, beautiful setting with amazing views and natural beauty to be seen all around. Other than some small mechanical issues such as the washer wasn’t working while we was there. It was an amazing day and those things happen with machines. I would definitely visit again.
