"Clean and well furnished. Kitchen had everything needed and was thoughtfully stocked with all utensils/tools. Used the smoker to make dinner the second night. Quick 30-45 second walk from the front door to the Frio River. Our boys had a blast fishing all day and spending time at Garner State Park."

"Everything was wonderful about this property. Off the beaten path, private, quiet, nature all around. WiFi still strong. Although 2 pins were provided, neither got us all the way to the property. Need more specific directions to the actual house. "We couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away and spend some quiet time as a family. We spent a lot of time in the river and explored the small town of Camp Wood. Everyone was welcoming and the shops were great to explore. We even learned pickleball and played every night. We are already working to plan our next trip!"

"Great place for our getaway will stay again soon. Just bring bed sheets. pillows and blankets and towels kitchens are full equipped for cooking. Place was big and roomy and cozy Had a fireplace but didn’t use it. The area is under a burn ban at the moment so we wasn’t able to use firepit at nights walking distance to water hole to soak your feet for the time being Leakey about a 10min drive or so. "My family and I spent a few nights for New Year's. This is a beautiful place, the entire area is amazing, the view is awesome, couldn't have asked for more! My family and I loved the cottage, all clean, comfortable, safe, the response to our needs was immediate and friendly. We have stayed at other cabins in the area in the past, but this one will now be our favorite place to stay; we are already planning our next vacation time there again. "

"Great place on the Frio, very spacious, nice rooms and porch deck (as well as pavilion down by the river). Host was great. The bunk house worked out well for the college kids and the 3 rooms for the adults/parents. We hope to stay there again next year."

"We had a great time at the cabin and had access to water! The Frio is struggling with water flow, but we enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board provided by the host. There are options in the area if you want more water, but the cabin has a lot to offer!! "

"We were 10 people. One family of 5 stayed in the bunkhouse, one family upstairs and 1 couple downstairs. We had plenty of room and it was comfortable. There was good water in the river. It is a quiet and peaceful location. We enjoyed our stay and would return. "
