Sumner Vacation

The cabin is really nice. Upstairs was beautiful. The kids loved it up there.The down stair bedroom was not as nice. The kitchen is good. The hot tub was great.We really enjoyed our stay. Was very cozy. Did not care for the parking situation.

Babydoll bathroom

We are three 70's friends traveling to Hocking Hills for a long weekend. The reviews were good for this property, location was excellent and it had enough beds for our group. But it was not reported that there were mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers, the refrigerator froze our food, dishes on the shelves had water standing in them and mostly the kitchen table was soooo STICKY that we could not even put anything on it nor eat from it. The kitchen faucet was wacky and difficult to get the water turned off properly. The stairs are quite steep and the steps are quite high. The bathroom upstairs was suitable for children under 10 years of age as it was soo small. The DVD player didn't work. We did not use the hot tub as it was too hot and buggy outside, so can not report about it. But there was a bucket of water on the porch and I don't know what it was for but unless it had chemicals in it for mosquitoes then it was a mosquito magnet. The deck was quite littered with bugs, cigarette butts and matchsticks. It seemed the unit just simply needed very deep cleaning and some maintenance done. Along the path there is poison ivy and trash. I would not recommend this place except it was quiet and good location to things in Hocking Hills. My first VRBO experience and I was not pleased.

Nice location and quiet. Hot tub was nice, cabin had a fun design that met our needs. We enjoyed staying there. Some cons were regarding maintenence items: some deep scratches in the paint in a few areas, shower faucet that was plumbed wrong makin hot cold and cold hot, kitchen faucet also should be replaced. These were just annoying, but we enjoyed our stay

Good for the Price

This property was as listed, quiet and secluded area with all promised amenities. The only complaints were the cleanliness of the dishes, most dishes had residue from past tenants and had to be rewashed before use, and the hottub was dirty, in addition to the fact beach towels are not provided for the hot tub. But overall the stay was comfortable.

Needs a deep cleaning

This was one of the worse places I've ever stayed in. It truly needs a deep cleaning, beds were very uncomfortable, tub didn't drain properly so when showering you stood in ankle deep dirty water. Couldn't get the hot tub up to temp to be able to utilize it. The couches smelled horrible didn't even want to sit on them. The place was absolutely horrid!!! horridhorrid

Great little cabin

Great space for our girl’s getaway with my daughter and sis-in-law. We hiked for hours and after had a great time relaxing together. House layout made it easy to converse no matter where we each wandered, and even though it rained all weekend, we had a fantastic stay!

Very welcoming home

Enjoyed our stay at Grey Manor. In description of property it stated cabin is downhill from parking area. Didn't realize it was so steep. Has three televisions but only one has cable. Steep steps going to loft. Half bath upstairs (if that's what you want to call it)privacy is very limited. Enjoyed hot tub after day of hiking. Overall pleasant stay. Thank you for the hospitality.

We enjoy Hocking Hills

We stayed in March. Overall we had a nice trip. The house could use some tlc from knicks in the wall to the stove/oven and I had to clean the bathroom sink. It was nice to use the hot tub and have some outdoor space to have a camp fire and play in the woods. The property manager was easy to communicate with and responsive.

Nice cabin, great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gray Manor. The cabin felt secluded and was in a good location in relation to the places we wanted to go. Everything was clean and in working order. The kids loved exploring the ravine behind the cabin, and the hot tub was a nice way to end each day of hiking. If we ever come back to the area I would probably try to book this cabin again. My only suggestion to the owners would be to put a blackout curtain on the upstairs bathroom, because you can see right through the curtain when the light is on. My kids thought that was hilarious though!

Quiet, Clean, & Easy

Cabin was cozy and well equipped. Driveway was concrete -not steep (nice to know in this area). There was a little hill to walk down from car to cabin, maybe 40 yards. Hot tub was SO nice on a 37 degree evening. After a couple of hikes, our only complaint was really stiff mattresses. Some like really firm -you’ll love it. Others may wish they’d brought an egg cushion or air mattress if you have sensitive backs or hips. Stairs are steep to loft so no bad knees. TV and wi-fi worked fine. We had no issues and had no reason to contact owners. Would recommend and stay again!

Relaxing and pretty location

We enjoyed the cottage and that it was surrounded by trees. Nice and private. The hot tub was great! The cottage had a good amount of space for us! We honestly could have had at least 3-4 more friends! Was a nice time!

Girls’ Trip

We loved the privacy of the property and the ease of getting there. The upstairs “bathroom” wasn’t what we expected, as it was merely the size of a closet with a low ceiling and a curtain as opposed to an actual door. Other than that, we enjoyed the property.

Girls Hiking Weekend

Chelsea was a wonderful host! We had a few questions around locking up and the wifi, and she responded within minutes. (The lock up issue was our own fault as the instructions were there, we just missed them.) Very clear instructions for any and everything were in a very nicely organized binder. Enjoyed a quick dip in the hot tub after a long day of hiking, and smores around the firepit. Would definitely stay again!

Perfectly peaceful

We really enjoyed the stay. Enough room for everyone. The bonfire and hot tub at night were a hit. Quite and peaceful. The second bathroom is perfect for younger children, for my 6ft teenagers it did not work, but the one main bathroom was enough for us. The hot tub took a second to figure out but not rocket science. Could use a few more kitchen accessories, only five plates and small coffee cups, but again not a big deal we just washes dishes every night. I have nothing negative to say and would stay here again.

Great Cabin & Location

We had a great weekend at this cabin. Perfect location - far enough away from others but close enough to all of the attractions. Host was informative and responded in a timely manner. Cabin was clean, as described, and exceeded our expectations. Bedding and bath towels were high quality, and very comfortable. We would recommend an anti-slip bathtub mat, or something similar, for the shower as it was pretty slippery. Overall our stay was a 10 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again.

Great Experience!

Beautiful property, beautiful view, location easy to find. Very clean. Loved it! 1/2 bath upstairs was very convenient. Definitely 5 star and would choose it again for another stay. Tips for improvement: better instructions for gas fireplace, and TV and kitchen silverware needs stocked up.
