Horrible experience

Our power went out on the second day and waited almost 3 hours for maintenance to show up. Kept calling vacasa for solutions and they kept telling us to wait. We waited from 6pm until past 9 and they kept insisting we wait. Couldn't cook dinner and we sat in the dark until the maintenance guy came.

We had some friends join us in a celebration of life for my son. The place was comfortable and everyone had a grest time. Life is great. Thank you. For making it possible.

No comfort

5 stars for cleanliness. 1 star for comfort. In livingroom, one chair with broken down seat and a leather couch (best place to sleep). Kitchen, 3 forks, 2 butter knives and lots of spoons, 3 bowls. Paid too much for this. Will not be back.

Disappointing

Not clean… disgusting dog smell through out. Carpet was stained and smelly. Needs replaced desperately. Would never stay there again, but thoroughly enjoyed rockaway.

Very Disappointed

Walked into a dark staircase and a foul smell. Found dirty appliances, mold in the shower, broken doors, fire hazardous heaters, worn out furniture. Very disappointing when you look forward to a hard earned vacation with your spouse and arrive to find what we found in this property. We did NOT stay. We walked out and the then had to search for alternate lodging.

Enjoyed our stay great location

We got confused and almost went to the wrong unit - now we know. Love the location - great beach and enjoyed the town! Some small issues with the unit but we will definitely look at this in the future!

Overall Good Experience

The home is good for a family of about 4-6 people. It is cozy and the beds are comfortable. There is enough comforters, sheets and pillows provided. It is in a very good spot; close to the nearby business and it is only a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay but there is definitely room for improvement. For example, the room door handles need to be replaced, there is no light at the front door which is an inconvenience if you arrive when it is dark and we had a hard time turning on the tv. Something that would be a nice addition would be a full sized mirror. But overall the house was true to it’s description.

Good but not great.

Our biggest complaint of the place was that is was sandwiched between, on top and next to 4 other accommodations. Also, the place had 2 broken pieces of furniture, trash left under the couch and the dishes in the cupboard had food stuck on them... But it was cheap and super close to the beach. For only booking 2 weeks before we were happy to have a place so close to the waves.

Good location, fair-adequate condo

Okay condo very close to the beach. Good for a short stay. The interior of the condo was a mixture of nicely done, modern renovation and areas still in need of renovation. Beds appeared clean and were comfortable. Plenty of blankets and towels (beach towels even provided). Could use at least a DVD player as there is no WiFi but the TV does have basic cable. Just a few gripes: Small bathroom with a tiny shower. If you are tall, you will need to squat and lean to the side to take a shower as the ceiling is slanted. Also the shower curtain was a bit scuzzy. The carpeted areas (bedrooms, front stairs) are in need of a good cleaning. The outside area has potential but could use some upkeep. The neighborhood is older and a bit run down; however, the condo is very walkable to the beach. Lastly, bring a fan as there are none provided and it got a bit warm. Overall okay for a few night stay, probably couldn't tolerate any longer.

Nice locale for a beach-going family

We stayed in the Dolphin 2 unit that was the upstairs unit one block from the beach behind St Mary’s by the Sea. With a bedroom for the parents and another with 2 bunk beds for our 4 children, we had plenty of room. Clean, bright and airy. For families traveling together, we thought it’d be ideal to rent units close to one another and share the fenced-in courtyard space. We liked the walking distance from the beach and ice cream shop. We had good neighbors in other units, but for extra quiet, travelers may prefer a rental that does not share building space.
