Wonderful Beachfront Property

Just a short walk through the dunes to the beach. This home is well equipped, very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful beach property

This property was very clean, well stocked, and was exactly as advertised. It has very easy access to rhe beach, and had great amenities (pool table, ping-pong table, and hot tub). I highly recommend this property to any family looking for a wonderful beach experience.

21st Birthday Family Trip

The location of the home is quiet and private, we had the beach almost completely to ourselves for much of the trip. The layout allowed for plenty of privacy but also good shared spaces. The kitchen was nicely appointed, and the large dining table made for a great place to share meals and play games.

Family reunion

My family had an amazing time at the beach house. Everything was outstanding! The house is huge and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Having the beach to ourselves was fantastic! I highly recommend this property. The management company was also very helpful, friendly, and easy to communicate with.

Great location

This was a perfect location for relaxing and hopping down to the beach for whenever you feel like it. In a large group people can come and go from the house to the beach wi the out a huge coordinated effort. The property also features beautiful views from the living room and deck.

Perfect seaside get-away

Our family enjoyed our stay at Once Upon a Tide! It was a perfect location and provided plenty of space for our whole family (5 adults & 2 teens). Highlights include: a private path to the ocean, hot tub, plenty of patio and dining room seating, comfortable and clean living and sleeping spaces, nice location near town/shops/groceries/etc., & beautiful sunsets! Management was great with communication throughout our stay. Highly recommend this rental!

Quiet beachfront property

We enjoyed this home! The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The beds were really comfortable and the hot tub was excellent! This house had plenty of room. The main living area is upstairs and the beach is a short trail walk away in case you have anyone with mobility issues, but for our group it worked out really well. Rochaway is just a short (5 minute) drive into town and we loved the private location of this home. We would rent again!

Great family place

The property offers various bedroom choices, perfect for my growing family. The pool table was in excellent condition, and became a highlight of the trip. Access to the beach was conveniently close, including from the property. We watched sunsets from the deck. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner accommodated a request for a late check-out. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Restfully calming retreat.

Well equipped kitchen for large group gatherings. Would definitely recommend it for families with preteen and teenage children. We had adults only in our group with more family showing up for huge dinner. Had a great time with the pool table and competition games. Very quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was a nice end to the day

AMAZING place

This home is really just perfect. The overall location is five minutes from the main Rockaway Beach area (great food and activity), and then it is centrally located so that in 40 minutes you can go north to Cannon Beach, and in 40 minutes you can go south to Short Beach and Tillamook. It is literally right on the beach - you walk out the back sliding glass door and a magical walkway leads you to a pretty much private stretch of beach surrounded by mountains. There is also a large hot tub right on that back deck to enjoy. But that's not even the inside. The house is planned in such a way that a really large family - or two small families - could rent the home and have plenty of space to never feel cramped. The upstairs master is spacious, and the living area is full of natural light. Massive kitchen with everything you need, comfy sofa and chairs, and tons of games and books to help when the pacific northwest weather does what it does. Downstairs has a pool table, ping pong table, and three bedrooms - one of which is bunk style. The washer and dryer are great as well. All said, our family of six enjoyed five amazing nights there.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS

There were so many wonderful things about this property. The upstairs area was outstanding. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches such as board games, beach toys, hot tub. However, the bedrooms downstairs where family stayed was a different story. Carpet stains, spiders and many cobwebs, mice droppings. Our cousin left early because of this🙉. The ping pong table is broken, but we played anyway. The pool table was very nice, as was the bar table. The outdoor garbage can was full when we drove up, so we had to leave after our stay with it overflowing. To not have a spotless place to stay for the money charged??? Not worth it. Would look for another place for less $$$ next time.

House was perfect for us - thank you

Four generations of our family from age 9 to 77 enjoyed the Once Upon a Tide house for 3 days and it was perfect for us (9 people). The layout worked well so we had both togetherness and privacy. 4 bathrooms convenient and well-spaced. Open kitchen nicely appointed, plenty of dishes, glassware, flatware, placemats etc. Appliances first rate. Picnic style dining table held us all easily both for meals and for playing cards and board games (we brought our own, but there were many in the house too). Hot tub was great. Pool and ping pong tables added to the fun. Easy path for a 2-minute walk to the spacious beach where we flew kites, took walks and enjoyed the beautiful ocean setting. Everything was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Really could not ask for more and each one of us there agreed. Definitely recommend this house and would be happy to return to it. ps picked up a delicious crab dinner at Captain's Corner in nearby Garibaldi (they cooked and cleaned the crab and even sold individual melted butter in small cups.)
