The 'Trolley Home' was a lovely property. Our host was so easy to communicate with - he made himself available and oriented us to the home. It was very well-equipped and in a great location. The kitchen had everything you might need, the beds were very comfortable (linens and towels all high end). There are lots of nice places on the property to sit outside. It is private and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

Great House, beautiful yard! Conveniently located.

Fantastic, comfortable home near Pittsford and Fairport. Updated Kitchen, comfortable beds, and lots of nice little touches to make our stay easy. Big yard, deer, and a historic trolley bridge as part of the driveway add to the charm. Would stay here again.

Beautiful home in a woods setting in the heart of Pittsford. Quiet yet freeway close city of Rochester 20 min away. Jim and Alis were wonderful hosts and house has all the amenities. Loved our stay!

RIT graduation

We stayed for three nights on the lower level. It was very clean and comfortable. We could hear the other folks staying upstairs, but they didn’t keep us awake. The property is located off a main street, but tucked away. Easy access to Rochester and downtown Pittsford. Jim, our host was very welcoming.

Visit with Rochester Family

Second time at the Trolley House. Close to family, very clean and comfortable. The hosts are very thoughtful and caring. Fantastic bed, towels and linens are amazing and kitchen has everything one needs. Will definitely be back!

The Trolley House was the perfect place to stay for our son’s graduation from RIT. Jim and Alis are wonderful hosts and their house is beautiful with all the comforts of home. The property is amazing and set a beautiful backdrop for after graduation pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if our travels bring us back to Pittsford we would love to stay there again.

Beautiful stay in Pittsford!

We rented the trolley home for our son’s graduation weekend from RIT. Jim and Alis are perfect hosts and the house has all the comforts of home. The grounds are beautiful and were a perfect backdrop for graduation pictures. Pittsford is a lovely town with great restaurants, bars and breweries along the Erie Canal. We all enjoyed our stay!

Warm and friendly

Jim and Alyiss are such warm and welcoming people, who truly care about your comfort and stay at their home. It is so cozy, but also impeccably clean. They are nice touches everywhere. Coffee is stocked for your use, along refreshments and chocolates in the fridge. There were even spa style bathrobes! Would definitely recommend.

Weekend stay for graduation

We had a very nice stay in the Trolley home. It was well equipped and very clean in a quiet location, but close to everywhere we needed to be. The grounds were beautiful, but our weather wasn't the greatest, so we couldn't really take advantage of the yard. It is a roomy rental with a lot of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy. We found the King bed very firm for us though. The hosts provided linens, towels and toiletries, which was very helpful.

Beautiful, Cozy Stay over Christmas Holiday

My partner, myself, and our two small dogs had an incredible time at Alis & Jim's inviting, serene, cozy home in Fairport. The additional details they included for Christmas, such as a tree, lights, and decorations, elevated the experience further. The house is clean, the kitchen is beyond well-stocked, and the bedrooms are super comfortable. It also sits tucked away into a wooded area beyond the main road, providing a peaceful environment with no vehicle or people traffic. Both Jim and Alis are kind and communicative, and welcome you to make yourself home as though it's yours. Our two small dogs were also warmly accepted and loved the yards. We sincerely had a perfect time and would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone visiting not only Fairport, but Rochester. We look forward to staying again next time we visit family!

Home away from home

My husband and I stayed at the Trolley Home so we could be nearby to help our daughter move into her new apartment. The Trolley Home was a home away from home. Our hosts welcomed us when we arrived to give us a quick tour of the home and where we could find things we might need. They had a bottle of wine, a couple beers, sodas and snacks waiting for us in the fridge, as well as some fresh fruit from their trees. We felt like company and not just another renter. It was such a nice touch and we felt at home right away. We also knew that if we needed anything all we had to do was call. The home itself was roomy, comfortable and everything was clean. We are looking forward to our next trip to the Rochester area and staying at the Trolley Home.

Great location- some smaller issues

The property was a great size for us and it was very clean. It is in a peaceful and picturesque location away from the road. Deer were in the yard every morning and it was quiet and serene. The owner was very hospitable. While Vrbo forwarded the entry code, the owner was at the property and took us on a lengthy tour. I’m just the kind of person who would prefer less contact. There were some issues with the amenities, for example, the listing said there was a blender but there wasn’t so we had to go buy one due to the dietary requirements of one of our guests. The oven emitted a huge amount of smoke when I preheated it and I had to just turn it off for fear of setting off the fire alarms so we had to improvise for cooking dinner. The only plates in the house were not dishwasher safe per the host so we had to hand wash dishes during our stay every day. Additionally, the towels were huge and the washer and dryer were tiny so I couldn’t wash more than three towels at a time so I also had to do laundry every day to accommodate three people taking showers. Again, not ideal. Overall most of our needs were met, there were just several inconveniences.

We had a wonderful time. The home is very comfortable, with plenty of options for hanging out, both inside and out. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds. Close to the village but also quiet. Near the canal and trails.Jim and Alis are the perfect hosts; available for answering questions but unobtrusive.
