Romantic Getaway

This was a lovely rustic cabin in the woods, especially if you love hiking and mountain biking. The owners (and their 2 dogs) were very friendly and answered any questions very quickly. They went above and beyond - truly kind people. The bed was comfy and the linens were fresh. We highly recommend this place, especially if you have a good dog. Our lab loved their dogs. Thank you!

Second visit as great as the first!

This is a very comfortable cabin in a quiet location, a great home base for exploring the Sunshine Coast. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom has heated floors. We didn't need anything more! Dog visits were a bonus:)

Sunshine Coast

If you want to do the Sunshine Coast this is the spot to do it from. Beautiful little cabin in a peaceful setting with all the amenities one could want. We toured the coast, beaches, towns and pubs and loved every minute. Has been 42 years since our last visit and interesting to see the change. Host was perfect and made us feel welcomed. As we head back into the city and the traffic I know for sure my peaceful place will be thoughts of this cabin. Thanks

Wonderful stay, beautiful property

Love the location, the cabin, and the atmosphere of the place. Hosts are amazing and communicative. We stayed here a few years ago and we're thrilled to have had a chance to go back again. It's wonderful how dog friendly this place is! It's quiet and peaceful and so close to Gibsons and Sechelt. I highly recommend this place!

Relaxing staycation

Terri was a great host! She was super helpful at check in and even spared some of her time a couple days later to introduce us to her animals :) I was totally expecting a quick meet them and hear a bit about them and that was it, but she spent way more time with us; it was amazing! The cabin is great, definitely was nice to know about the well water and the iron beforehand so it wasn’t as shocking haha. Be aware that the tub takes awhile to fill up, but it’s worth! Especially with some bubbles!!If you have the opportunity to stay here, I highly recommend!!

Perfect spot for some real peace and quiet

The cabin location is everything if you are looking to unwind and enjoy peace and quiet away from it all. Terri was very easy to deal with and both dogs are as big and friendly as advertised! The cabin is well equipped for most of your needs and I did enjoy the jacuzzi tub after some adventuring.We especially loved having hiking trails right outside the cabin door but Gibsons, Sechelt and all the bays in between are fun to explore too

Excellent coastal getaway.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It felt secluded in the wilderness, but just a short drive away from anything you need. Nice trails to hike with a dog and rocky beaches to explore. The cabin was cozy on the rainy days and there was excellent communication with the hosts. An extra treat having horses to visit on the property and two resident dogs that would stop by for a visit.

A charming and peaceful escape!

We booked our stay last minute after a previous place turned into a bit of a nightmare. It turned out to be a blessing because it was just what we needed!My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights. The weather was rainy and cold, so we didn’t venture out very much. We were able to cook all of our meals using their kitchen supplies and some of the essentials they provided. The spices could maybe use a little refresh, but otherwise what they had was helpful. The space was cozy and simple with lots of windows to see the trees. Well stocked with essentials without being extravagant. The cabin uses well water, so there is a reddish tinge and a bit of smell. If you’re sensitive to that, it may be a deterrent but they provide additional water for drinking/cooking. We weren’t bothered by it, and enjoyed a nice soak in the tub. The heated tiles were really lovely!Cowboy and Rancher (their big Pyrenees dogs) will melt your heart! We didn’t get a chance to meet the chickens or horses, but I would book again during nicer weather. Our only real complaint was the cold white light bulbs in some of the lights kind of ruined the cozy vibe when we had to use them. Pretty minor as there were also warm lights that we used when we weren’t cooking in the evening. I would absolutely recommend this for a cozy and rustic retreat!

Beautiful rainy fun weekend

The cabin was adorable! The hosts really welcomed us with little heart chocolate snacks for the bath and also provided us bath salts for the jacuzzi! Very cozy cabin. Exploring the Sunshine Coast is a must though we did a lot of exploring and hiking! Thank you to the hosts for the lovely cozy weekend!

Everything was great, but the only downfall was the pressure of the kitchen faucet and the shower. We cooked almost every meal during our stay, so we had to do quite a bit of dishes and when the water pressure wasn't thr greatest, it took us some time to finish. The temperature of the shower was either too cold or too hot. However, we still enjoyed our stay every much and already recommeded this place to a few of our friends! <3

Dreamy cabin

Terri & Dwayne's cabin is exactly what you'd picture if you're imagining the perfect cabin getaway: down a short gravel road, nestled in the trees, and serene. The huge bathtub and on-site laundry area huge assets to this already incredible place. Cowboy and Rancher are loveable and will come say hello.

Quiet getaway

The cabin is close to amenities but off the main road in a tranquil setting. It is equipped with everything you need to settle in and relax. The bed,especially, is very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Home Away From Home at the Listening Horse Ranch

If you’re looking for a place that truly feels like your home away from home, the Listening Horse Ranch retreat is the perfect spot! The cabin has everything you could possibly need, we were able to cook our own meals or access wonderful restaurants and amenities. The cabin is just minutes from Gibsons, Sechelt, beach access, and stunning rainforest hikes. Terri is a warm and welcoming host who makes sure you feel like the cabin is your own. A delightful bonus: their two amazing dogs, Rancher and Cowboy, greet you every time you return from an adventure, forming the friendliest welcoming committee imaginable. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this gem for your next Sunshine Coast getaway!

Beautiful Oasis on the Sunshine Coast

Upon checking in, Terri warmly welcomed us with her beautiful dogs Rancher & Cowboy & provided us with the logistics of her cozy cabin. The cabin provided us with a comfortable home base that was well positioned between Gibsons & Sechelt as well as access to many trails & parks on the Sunshine Coast. Terri took the time to introduce us to her horses which was one of the highlights of our time there. The jacuzzi tub was amazing after a day of hiking & the ability to barbecue & cook our own meals there was a bonus. She respected our privacy, yet was only a text away if needed. The cabin was secluded surrounded by trees & we enjoyed the night skies & our daily visits from Rancher & Cowboy. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to the Sunshine Coast highly recommended.

Perfect combination of relaxation and adventure

Everything in the house was in proper order, had everything we needed and more (kitchen, supplies, etc). Happy to unwind, disconnect from our usual routine, and simply enjoy this rustic cabin. Dogs came to check in on us twice a day, like clockwork, welcomed their company during morning coffee. We love how quiet it gets and dark sky at night. Terri was more than accommodating to say the least. Sharkey's fish and chips is an absolute gem. Nearby beaches and parks were perfect hangout places too. Short drives to Gibsons/Sechelt is a thing in itself, stunning views of the coast. We will definitely consider staying here again. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin!

Cosy cabin , all the amenities we needed . The onsite dogs Cowboy and Rancher got along well with our dog . The hosts Dwayne and Terri were simply terrific . Told us about local attractions , restaurants and outgoings . Great hosts !

This was even better than expected! So private. Surrounded by trees and greenery. Lots of windows in the cabin to enjoy the views. Lots of deck space to enjoy outside. Tonnes of amenities. So nice to not have to pack towels/condiments etc. would be very safe if traveling with children. And the best part - their two fluffy dogs that are so friendly and come to visit. They were such a joy and also made us feel safe.
