Daisey met us at the airport and we followed her in our rental car to the property (with a stop at Eldon’s for groceries). We stayed for 30-nights with some friends joining us for half of them. Had a great time using Star Fish to relax and enjoy the sun and using it as our home base while exploring the island. IMO Rental vehicle is a must. Security and maintenance personnel are friendly and helpful. Will be back again.

Deysi was a great person to work with, and the view was amazing. The beds were really comfortable, and that’s about where the positive aspects end.We were deeply disappointed with this property. The value for the money is not there. The home is in desperate need of updating. The kitchen is worn out and felt unclean, with disgusting countertops. There were no cleaning products left for the guests, only an old sponge in the sink. I had to immediately buy bleach, even though the housekeeper did a great job working with the worn-out conditions.The flooring also needs to be replaced because it looks dirty no matter what. The kitchen is not well-equipped. The pots and pans are warped, and the teflon is peeling. We even had to buy some glasses.The upstairs bedroom requires guests to go outside and up the stairs, which is inconvenient and dangerous in rainy conditions. We were traveling with my mom and dad, so we had to take the upstairs bedroom, which was even more outdated than the main bedroom. The ceiling fan didn’t work, and the sink was clogged with previous guests’ hair.I encourage the owners to update the home before they lose future renters. Especially since neighboring oceanfront properties are renting for a bit higher of a price in much better condition. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Location was lovely, right on the water, with a dock you could swim from. The kayaks and paddle boards are great amenities. Snorkeling is a way out off shore though, a bit too far to swim, but you can kayak out then snorkel, but recommend using one of the buoys to anchor your kayak.The kitchen could have been a bit more clean -- fishy odor in the refrigerator, otherwise things were OK. The property and beach is cleaned and maintained by local staff, as well as having night security. Local kids play around the area but we did not mind -- they politely asked to borrow the extra kayak on most days and it was fun to see them out there having fun too.

We enjoyed our stay at the starfish beach house. Daisy was amazing meeting us at the airport and making sure we found the house. She took us to a grocery store and showed us around a bit before we got to the house so we knew where things were. Daisy was Very responsive to any questions and information we needed. She was very sweet and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with her and learning about the island. The house was amazing. It was much nicer than it showed on the pictures. The dock was the best part of the stay. We spent most of our time out at the end of the dock. We ate our meals there. We went snorkeling and use the paddle boards. Everything was perfect. The house was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed having both suits on different levels so we all had privacy.The kitchen was adequately equipped with equipment to make our own meals. There was even a blender there so I could have my morning smoothies. There was a young man that came and picked the coconuts off of the tree in our backyard and open them for us so we could have a delicious snack. overall, the day was amazing and we are very happy with our experience.Burly and her daughters came out and prepared two meals for us. It was really nice having some local food and traditional meals on the island. They were a lot of fun chat, chatting with us telling us about their life on the island. Daisy gave us a few phone numbers for people who did boat tours. We selected Dewey Woods. He was fantastic.

Perfect Getaway in a Peaceful Location

We loved being tucked away from the busy tourist spots—exactly what we were looking for! Every morning started with coffee on our private deck, enjoying a stunning view that never got old.We took full advantage of the kayak provided and explored the nearby mangroves. When we felt like a bit more action, we paddled over to Turquoise Bay Resort—such a fun adventure!Daisy was incredible from the start. She met us at the airport, helped us pick up our rental car, and even stopped at the grocery store with us on the way to the house.She truly went above and beyond when we got turned around trying to find a restaurant. She came to where we were, helped us out with a warm smile and calm energy, and made sure we still made it to dinner on time. Total lifesaver!We highly recommend the Starfish Beach House to anyone wanting a peaceful, beautiful escape—with the added bonus of knowing Daisy has your back.

Great place!

Communication from the beginning to end was outstanding! Daisy was incredibly helpful throughout! She met us at the airport, drove us to the home, answered all questions quickly (including general island questions during out stay), and made checking out a breeze. The location is beautiful and is accurately represented in the advertisement. The groundskeeper (Jerry) kept the place in good condition and also will deliver fresh lobster (if requested) at a very reasonable rate. The place also comes with nightly security, which I think is more for peace of mind of the travelers as we experienced zero crime on the island. Even so, it is a nice touch. The home is nicely appointed, has very comfortable mattresses, and has the best showers ever experienced on any island (have visited many). The kayaks, paddleboards, dock, and A/C were fantastic amenities. I would highly recommend the Starfish Beach House and if you do stay here I will also highly recommend Lone Star Fishing and Diving, Sandra's, Kristi's Overlook, Sandy Buns (West side), Lotos, Ikigai, Aqua Adventures (diving on South side), Pirates Canopy and Ziplining, and Camp Bay Beach. After nearly three weeks on the island and traveling/experiencing much of it I can say there is no place I would have rather stayed and these are the best of our experiences

Starfish Beach Home is amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Daisy is awesome. Jerry can get done whatever you need. He's fantastic. Having breakfast delivered from Sandys on a tuk tuk was a treat. House is fantastic, just steps from the water. There is everything in the Home that you need to cook and be comfortable, including Beach Towels. There are bugs (sand fleas / no see ums) but they are not bad. Put spray on and youll be fine. Lots of dogs from the village come and visit. They are all friendly and just want to say Hello. Rex is the security guard at night. He will get a beach fire all situated for you if you want to have one. We did and enjoyed it very much. Cannot say enough good things! Book your trip and enjoy yourself. We did 2 boat tours, one locally from the dock and one that we drove to. Both were enjoyable, but the trip with Thai was AMAZING! We learned so much about the Roatan History, swam with sharks, snorkled some amazing places and enjoyed a local lunch at an on the water eatery. Get Sherri and Daisy to help you with the tour. We rented a Car, it was really nice to be able to drive ourselves where ever. Just be prepared for a high dollar security deposit. Eldons Grocery Store is clean, takes american dollars, and you'll find everything you need including beer, wine and spirits!!! Have a great time -Best Vacation in a long time!!!

Great views and location

By Really enjoyed our stay at the Starfish Beach Manor. First off Sherri the property manager was friendly and gracious enough to meet us at airport and escort us to property via the grocery store. In addition, even though we had an Enterprise rental car reservation, for whatever reason they did not have a vehicle available for us. Sherri made a call and found us a vehicle for the week. Property was has advertised. Bring bug spray! Recommend the atv/zipline/sloth tour. Anthony’s Key dolphin adventure was fun. Next door to the property we enjoyed Turquoise Bay beach and a dive. Beautiful clear waters with unbelievable coral reef reachable by kayak. AC works great and is a small additional electricity charge, worth it.

What a great place!

We stayed at Starfish Beachhouse 3/8/24 - 3/25/24 and had a great stay. The house is basically as advertised and met all our expectations. It has every amenity you will need and more. My only recommendation is to replace the tv, the speakers are blown. Sherri is extremely quick at returning emails, Deysi met us at the airport and took us to the grocery store and to the house, very thankful for that. Overall, the house is perfect. Find the info binder right away. We didn't find it til day 3 and there is tons of great info in it. Notes about the island: Find Scott 3 houses east on the beach for great snorkling and a mindblowing dive, he has the boat on the dock. There is a little snorkling off the dock. You can find tons of conches and starfish but the reef is too far to reach. Driving through the locals village is tight, kids and dogs everywhere!! It's like playing the video game Frogger!! Drive slow through here, this is their home. 1 thing we didn't know is Roatan will not accept US cash that is written on or torn. They will reject the tiniest little tear and they inspect each bill because their bank will not accept the damaged money. Bring fresh crisp bills and treat it like fine china. Overall a great vacation with the foundation of a great VRBO rental. Thanks Sherri and Deysi.

Amazing Location

If you like to be away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. The beach and house are very private and the few neighbors and locals are extremely friendly. The house itself is pretty basic, but has all the amenities you would need. Like said in many of the other reviews, the sand flies are the only downside. They are bad, just be prepared. We used the provided kayaks almost everyday and explored the amazing coral reef and mangroves just steps from the house. We rented a car on our trip and explored the island from end to end with no issues. This is a great place to say, you will not regret it. Find Scott a few house down the beach to the East if you want an epic private scuba dive or snorkeling tour from his boat.

Starfish House

Beautiful property, wouldn't have found it on our own. It's off the beaten path. Appreciated Daisy meeting us at the airport and taking us to the grocery store before going to the property. Rex was great, with him around we always felt safe and he's always willing to help - really liked the fresh coconut water that he picked us. Would recommend to anyone.

Misleading and disastrous. Good luck to those who follow.

We rented this house for a once in a life time vacation. For a 2 week stay for a snorkeling, kayaking , paddle boarding and evening drinks at the pool vacation. The pictures in the listing are about 15 years old. The description is misleading compared to what the house really is. Advertised as having a pool. When arrived no operational pool. The Interior needs a lot of work and MAJOR TLC or remodel. Needs interior paint, Windows are dysfunctional. Multiple lights not working. Smoke alarms taken down. Dock is over run with locals. DVD players do not work. Pulled a Frog out of the toilet. Roaches and ants. Holes in the walls exposing the outside of the house so small creatures can enter the home. Electrical problems. Water damage. The washer and dryer are outside and rusted. There are multiple other problems VRBO should inspect the house before it’s rented out again. It’s just unbearable to stay here in this condition. Left as soon as we could find another place. Gave up over $1000. Just to get out of there early. Good luck to the next renters.

An associate of Starfish met us at the airport, showed us the grocery store and lead us to the property. It is quite the adventurous drive, but you are on Roatan. Arriving at Milton Bight is a dream! Turquoise waters, house right on the beach with pier in front, just like described on line. Even though the inside of the house needs some TLC, it did not lessen our experience at all. You live outside, and the outside is amazing. We don’t want to rave too much because we don’t want this place to become too popular since we want to go back! ( and want to make sure the place doesn’t rent out completely😉)

10 steps to the ocean!

Great location for privacy, serenity and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped. Fast internet. Friendly neighbors. Upstairs deck has great views and breeze, plenty of seating and lounge chairs. Coffee at dawn on palapa great start to day. Buy your groceries before get here. Communication was good with manager over a few issues and resolved quickly. . Be aware accessing the upstairs bedroom is outdoors— plan ahead on rainy days. We appreciated the numerous conch shells, games, and books. Thank you!

Perfect for us

The home was perfect for my husband and I. We enjoyed the patio and beautiful view of the ocean which was just steps away. Stacey was a wonderful host, very knowledgeable and friendly. We would stay again!

Perfect for us

This property is amazing and removed from the "tourist" area and that's exactly what we preferred. The house and property was perfect and met all our need and there were many hidden bonuses!!! The drive through the village was a bit surprising, but trust me you'll love the culture and once you see the ocean you'll be sold. We had a hard time leaving and I most definitely could have stayed forever. And if you want exceptional cooking, massages and the best care for your children. Be sure to ask for Burlee... You will love, Love, LOVE her!!!

Relaxing, beautiful beachfront home!

We absolutely loved staying at the Starfish Beach house on Milton Point! This was our first time for my wife and I to visit Roatan and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The home was comfortable and clean and literally just steps off the beach. The community dock was great and you could even snorkel off the end of it and see a few fish. It is possible to kayak or canoe out to awesome snorkeling as well. We slept in the upstairs bedroom and the breezes from the sea kept it cool enough we never even had to use the air conditioning. The local village people were very friendly and kind and we discovered Miss Sandra's little cafe and ate there a number of times. We had a couple of requests for items (more towels...more drinking water) and the property managers, Sherry and Brian, were super responsive and took care of our needs right away. They also offered to meet us at the airport and they helped us line up someone to come to the house to do our Covid tests before leaving, which was super convenient. I could write a lot about our time in Roatan and our wonderful explorations, but you'll have to explore for yourself. We wished our time there wouldn't end...it was a perfect beachfront stay!

Staying at this house was an amazing experience. It is right on a private beach with a dock and pergola available. The house has two decks with great furniture. There is staff on site 24/7. It is exotic, beautiful. One of the most cool, fun, different places I have stayed. Grocery shop on your way in and be prepared for the adventure!!

Outstanding Oceanfront, Dated House

There’s no better view and proximity to the ocean. The palapa is a great place to hang out and the surrounding water is partially cleared of sea grass, so a nice sandy bottom. Nature at her finest. The amenities varied - beautiful Weber BBQ, nice outdoor seating and the king bed was very comfy - but the snorkelling equipment was useless, the water cooler had no handles, and we were out of power and Internet for parts of two days in a row (nobody’s fault, but still). Transportation and location - really, you’re quite far in and remote, but that’s how you get the spectacular oceanfront. Definitely can’t walk anywhere and the roads are quite bad leading to the property. The house is pretty dated and some doors and windows are difficult to get open, with one screen ripped….not great for keeping bugs out, and believe me, there are plenty of mosquitoes and sand fleas. I still gave this property 4 stars, because it’s a trade off - spectacular sunsets and views and swimming, including the reef close by - and a kayak for your use - but there are definitely some aspects of the location and the house that are challenging.

The property managers were beyond helpful during our stay. The house was comfortable and had everything we could have needed including beautiful views
