"This was quite possibly the best Vrbo that we've ever stayed in. I contacted the manager twice while we were there, and received immediate responses. The hospitality from the management team was outstanding. The thought put into of every detail, and what a guest would want and need, exceded our expectations. The porch was a magnificent place to spend any part of the day!"

"We arrived at night to the cabin, trust the google map directions as clicked from the website. The key was in the lockbox as instructed and we were able to settle in nicely. When we woke up we were surprised to find an enormous green pasture behind the cabin with the river just behind the pasture. It was so beautiful! "Had a blast in the river. Comfortable accommodations for 10, and the kitchen was great for food prep. Sherry was always available for questions and guidance. Highly recommend "

"we had our wedding on the property and stayed the weekend. it was absolutely beautiful! the house is so spacious and beautiful, the property manager is absolutely wonderful and responds very fast to any messages you send!"

"This was our second stay at Riverside Retreat and we hope to come back in the future. The cabin is clean, it has a great open floor plan, and the bed is super comfortable. The best feature of the property is the back porch. The view of the river is lovely and we spent hours watching the ducks, kingfishers, and hawks. Our dogs were in heaven, too!"

This is a great choice if you are looking for a beautiful river view, listening to several species of birds, and don't mind the remote location. Not sure when the train runs, but we didn't hear it."

"We very much enjoyed our stay which was booked for the Mountain State Forest Festival. It’s just a short drive to Elkins, so the house was conveniently located and the hosts provide a fully stocked kitchen, linens, and even a few games to play. Host was very accommodating. If you aren’t accustomed to sleeping on a bamboo pillow, you might consider bringing your own. This was a wonderful place stay - highly recommended! "
