What a fun, quirky house! It was plenty of space for my mom and I. Great location! So close to the Salem Civic Center for a concert as well as getting into downtown Roanoke. Great communication with the host and easy to find. The pond is a beautiful bonus to the property.

Cottage was clean and as described. Plenty of room considering we are a family of 6. My sons enjoyed fishing in the pond and Evelyn was very communicative when we had questions. I would recommend to stay here. Location is wonderful your not more than 5-10 minutes restaurants, grocery stores etc.

We stayed at the Beautiful Lake Cottage for a week and everything we could have needed was available including a well stocked kitchen and extra sheets and towels. Evelyn even provided snacks and a bottle of wine! All the information necessary was communicated by Evelyn before we arrived (finding the road to the cottage is a bit tricky ). We loved the view of the lake with the soothing fountain and the water lilies. We would definitely stay at the cottage on a return visit to Salem.

We needed a place that we could meet up with dear friends for a long weekend. Our visit to Roanoke was wonderful. The description of the cottage is as described. It’s truly private and in a quiet neighborhood. The pond was beautiful. The water lilies were a sight to see. We saw 5 deer and a ground hog several times. The kitchen is well equipped to make a meal. The bed linens and towels r hotel quality. Also, the place is located just outside the city limits. The host responded quick to my text.

Perfect for our needs

Great 2 bed 2 bath was just what we needed for our weekend in Roanoke. We were only there to sleep but the place was clean, safe, and the kitchen was fine for us - not sure you could cook a gourmet meal in it - but very functional. We will definitely go back next trip to Roanoke.
