The view from the property was amazing. We both loved it. However, we were forced to purchase property protection, which we have not had to do for other bookings. We also had chores to do before leaving… Sweep, wash towels and take out the trash . That is usually handled by cleaners. The property was fine and we are glad we were able to be in such a magical place to make great memories.

Wonderful Valley Scenery

We had a wonderful stay at the Above the Clouds Chalet! The house was spacious and full of unique antiques for us to look at and enjoy. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with most everything we needed down to paper towels and garbage bags. They had even supplied our favorite coffee for the coffee maker! We used the deck quite a bit, eating our meals outside, as well as using the hot tub which was on the end of the deck. The deck supplied you with views of the valley, no matter the time of day. At night you could watch the moon rise and fog roll into the valley, and in the morning you could watch the fog roll out of the valley. The deck also enabled you to see some spectacular sunrises! We definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting some peace and great scenery! We loved it and didn't want to leave! We also enjoyed meeting David, the owner of the property, and we thank him for sharing this special place with us.

It was the perfect spot with the perfect price. It was just what we were looking for.... a peaceful quiet spot with a gorgeous view of God's creation and plenty of room in the house. It was really nice to have a bathroom with each bedroom. And the price was such an answer to prayer! Thank you!

Great place to stay

First of all the views are spectacular! The home is beautiful and well maintained. The host was exceptionally nice and very accommodating. We had no problems that arose. I would definitely recommend staying here. There were three adults and there was plenty of room for all of us.

This place is amazing! We knew the view was going to be pretty from the pictures, but WOW!!!!! The view is just as beautiful at this house as it is at any view spot for the public, if not more beautiful!.

Peaceful getaway

We had a very pleasant stay at Above the Clouds chalet. If someone is looking for a place with peaceful surroundings where the only sound you hear is that of birds and the wind, look no further. The overall feel of the chalet kind of takes you back in time, which is great, but at the same time there is some scope for improvement.The one thing I would like to clarify for future travelers which was not obvious to me when I booked is - when looking at the pictures you may feel you are booking the entire chalet. That is not the case. A small part of the same building is termed Hawk's Nest and is bookable separately. So you may be sharing a wall with a different set of people. While this is not a big deal, some people may be looking for total privacy in a cabin and may be disappointed with this setup.
