Perfection!!!

What an absolute gem of a place! Cozy, quiet, clean AND dog friendly with a fenced in yard!!! I’ve never settled into a vacation spot so quickly and comfortably. It felt like home right away! Everything that I could have needed was there, and seeing my pups so happy was just the absolute best part. Thank you so very much!!!

Lovely All Around

The house is lovely and so warm and welcoming with multiple vases of fresh flowers. It has everything you need and is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The house is even more beautiful than shown in the online pictures The gardens are gorgeous with lots of blooming flowers even in mid-October. The lake view is amazing and the dogs loved the fenced back yard. Chris is a great host and very helpful and responsive.

Lakeside stunner

We spent a long weekend here and found it to be exactly as advertised. Home was so well appointed, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and furniture and just so…homey! Perfect location for us- close to great restaurants, golf, parks and beaches. The gardens and fenced yard were perfect for our pups to play and explore while we took in the stunning views from the gazebo. This place is such a gem but the most outstanding thing about this stay was the stellar communication and hospitality of our hosts. Would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend to others looking for something very special.

Took my Breath Away

The views, the views, the views. The beautiful garden backyard was a setup for an amazing view of Lake Erie and those tranquil sunsets. A fenced yard for my dogs was a bonus. They really enjoyed all the scents. The gazebo was perfect for drinking coffee or wine, all watching the eagles soar by. This was a better then expected stay.

Wonderful

Obviously, a lot of love is poured into this home. It is nicely laid out, very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It has every amenity you could need. The yard is just lovely. Although it was between flowering seasons, I can imagine how glorious the gardens must be in bloom! The backyard, right on the water, was great. Lots of comfortable, peaceful, relaxing seating. We had perfect weather and the sunsets and fire in the pit were awesome. Thankfully, we were able to bring our little senior rescue dog. She actually leapt in the air several times ( something we have never seen) and rolled on the grass like her bucket list was fulfilled. She was happy. The house sits between two quaint towns ( Westfield and Northeast). Both worth a visit. A marina and beach are only 8 miles away. And, if you are into it, several wineries close bye. Through NO fault of the owners, an animal somehow got into the crawl space or walls. We live among a lot of trees ourselves and have had an animal in our walls. Not so pleasant. But, from the start, the owners were up front and completely transparent about what was going on. Said we could cancel with full refund if we liked. They brought in an exterminator, someone to check the septic ( just in case), bought air filtration units, ozone machine, sprays, and throughout, kept us posted. We thought we would be okay. And we were. I am positive these two men will continue to be on top of everything and have the house perfect. Thank you!!

Beautiful setting for a weekend celebration with friends!

Sunset Cove is gorgeous! There is, of course, the natural beauty of the surroundings, and then, the fact that the owners have provided such comfortable seating arrangements from which to enjoy it. Three long time friends and I stayed there for a long weekend to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We were looking for a place where we could relax, talk and toast our many years together, while taking in a sunset. The place more than delivered! Of the three nights that we were there, we were fortunate to see two spectacular sunsets. While the weather didn't quite cooperate, two things that really enabled us to enjoy our time anyway is that there are a couple of covered outdoor seating options and the interior is extremely cozy. While there is a very nice outdoor fire pit, we opted for the inside fireplace. The owners provide plenty of easily accessible wood and fire starters. While we opted to make simple meals, I could imagine staying there for a longer period and making more elaborate dishes. The kitchen is lovely, fully equipped and has plenty of counterspace. As for other amenities, one of us took advantage of the outdoor shower and found the contrast of the wind and hot water exhilarating. I also cannot fail to mention the extraordinary landscaping. This property offered so many feasts for the eyes. While we didn't venture out much, we did take advantage of the grocery store about a 12 minute drive away and had dinner one night at the Skunk & Goat, which was excellent...highly recommend it! Really can't say enough about the wonderful weekend Sunset Cove afforded us.

Lake Erie Getaway

The exterior grounds of the property were amazing. The flower garden and the Jew of Lake Erie from the back yard was incredible. The location was great and the home was comfortable. The only negative experience was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. We had to clean the bathtubs and toilets upon arrival. Other than that everything was great.

Wonderful Stay

Our third time staying at this beautiful home. Other than some nasty weather we had a great time. Home is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities you need. The view of the lake is outstanding. Our two dogs loved running in the fenced in back yard.

Quiet Get-A- Way

The property is beautiful both inside and outside. The cottage is warm and cozy in appearance and very comfortable. Lovely amenities provided by the hosts. Outside, the landscaping and gardens are beautiful! The view of Lake Erie is awesome! This October we enjoyed the storms over the lake and the crashing waves on the cliffs, including rainbows everyday. In all kinds of weather, this is a wonderful place to stay! Susan

Amazing all the way around!

The grounds were beautiful and impeccably kept. The flowers were breathtaking and the property itself was a relaxing oasis with everything and more one could need to settle in an RELAX!!! lobed the fire-pit! Loved the view and I even got to watch my football game on the big screen in the comfy living room. We will be back!!!!!

Needs attention

Yes gardens r very nice but bldg needed thorough cleaning Bugs were in sink and counter area w garbage cans Garbage can area not clean had empty pop bottle layin there for how long?Bugs were issue for whole stay Room ac were filthy filters ever cleaned? Master bedroom linen was disgusting stains on mattress cover and pillows should be in trash not on bed ! Gas grill has like no bottom totally rusted away must b lit w match or lighter ? Not very safe. Dog hair on most furniture be prepared to brush clothes after sitting on it. As title suggests this place needs attention Absolutely ridiculous condition this was left in for rent cleaning was minimal at best

Great place to spend a few days with your partner and pooch!

The house was comfortable and welcoming. The backyard and porch were great places to waste some time. Our dog had a blast running around and meeting the neighbors. We'd absolutely come again!

Perfect lakeside retreat!

The home is beautiful with an amazing view of the water. It also had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s within a short drive of restaurants and boutique shopping, as well as lake access.
