"Had a quick trip out to Lake Whitney for a visit. Needed a place to overnight and found this place. Worked out for our needs. It sits out about 10 minutes east/northeast of Whitney on some caliche roads. Was peaceful and relaxing after a day of running around. Nice view and quiet. Bed comfy, a/c worked great (a bit of noise but nothing out of ordinary), and nice big bathroom area for small unit. Had small kitchen stuff with coffee bar, microwave, and small frig. Can't really cook but...

"The host was very nice . The place was nice enough for the price. But I had 3 problems. 1st the internet password was not posted. About 10 text messages to the host and finally got it to work. 2nd the fold out loveseat was way past its usefulness! Luckily we found a inflatable bed in a closet and it was nice. 3rd and the most important! (The STAIRS) . Let me just tell you we are 3 old lifelong carpenters who have built hundreds of stairs. "The Fossil Farm House was a beautiful place to stay and just 15 minutes out of Glen Rose and the different activities. The house is beautifully decorated in Joanna Gaines style of decor. We stayed from June 9 thru June 11 with three of our grandkids. Each kid got their own room and there was plenty of room for more. Cynthia was great at communications.
