The beds were comfortable and there were birds to watch but the house was disappointing; the garage was filthy and we had to clean up mouse droppings, dead frogs, and mice and garbage on the first day. The house was dirty in general and towel racks were missing or falling off the wall, the window blinds were broken and hard to operate, furniture was worn out and uncomfortable, BBQ grill was filthy and unusable, as was most of the cookware, windows and sliding glass doors were filthy and the tracks that they run in appeared to have never been cleaned, the only bike trail was 3 miles away and there was nowhere to walk a dog except on paved roads.We rented for 2 months but left early.

Kitchen was fully equipped - needs new pots and pans. Front door mechanism needs replaced. Needs new window coverings. Loved the quiet country location. The outside needs cleaned up a bit. Appreciate that this property is pet friendly. Our hostess was communicative and available.

Perfect Rural Neighborhood Stay

This is a lovely property, set among rolling hills and desert, but on a lovely small street with neighbors. House is spacious, with wonderful light coming through windows in kitchen and living room. It is a real treat to sit and eat at the kitchen table and look out at the lovely view. Off of living room is the backyard patio, also with exquisite views. Living room has two couches to lay and read on, plus a comfortable chair and ottoman. Kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of dishes, mugs, glasses, and silverware. Also there are plenty of bath towels and washcloths, toilet paper, etc, The little street is easy to walk on with beautiful views; and within a short drive there are easy lovely hiking trails; as well as, a long paved walking path along a small road. We took an easy drive to Tubac and Tumacacori. So much to do and see; as well as a perfect house to relax in.

Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay

The property is as described. It is a little more remote then we thought, however, once we got our bearings we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The birds were fabulous, we didn’t realize we were in a prime location for bird watching. We purchased some suet at the bird store in Tubac at sat back a watched the action. If you are a bird enthusiast this is the place, one suggestion would be to have an Arizona Bird book available and a hummingbird feeder and seed available would be great! We also thoroughly enjoyed the pizza at the Del Rancho pizza place 5 min down the road! We also throughly enjoyed the Juan Barista Trail, which can be accessed at various points, including the trail just off the exit, Palo Parado. We didn’t find the community pool, although we didn’t ask about it, it would be helpful to have that info available. Tubac was wonderful, the Tubac Golf course was great and we had an amazing dining experience at Elvira’s, highly recommended. We would definitely return to this property.

Heaven in the desert

This is a spacious home with a lot of natural light, mountain views, spectacular sunsets, amazing birds and peace! Also a great bathtub! We had a fantastic 6 weeks! We would love to return to this paradise.

Advertised as having two queen beds in a room, two twins beds in a room and a queen bed in the master. But there was only two beds in the house. Cots do not counts as a twin or a queen bed!!!! Otherwise all was great!

Great getaway

My husband, furbaby and I were very comfortable in Maryann's property. The home is well furnished and the master bed was very comfortable. The views are outstanding and we had a wonderful time taking walks and watching a variety of birds that visited the property. Maryann is a wonderful hostess. She even brought us amazing blueberries.

Arizona Hiking

The property was in an excellent location. There was a beautiful hike within 3 miles called the Anza trail. Madera canyon was not far and Patagonia hiking was awesome. The house and property was in an awesome location. Very clean and private. We were very happy with our stay.

Peace in the Desert

So thankful that this property turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. We so much enjoyed being able to walk on the surrounding streets nearly void of traffic with our dogs. The house was comfortable and our host, MaryAnn did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. We had some amazing sunsets, along with some cows who came to visit and a coyote. Saw a bobcat and several roadrunners too. Rio Rico is a wonderful area full of wildlife. I found a hummingbird feeder under the sink, made up some nectar and had hummingbirds drinking it within two hours. Many different varieties. A bird watchers mecca. Thanks, MaryAnn for opening up this home to us.

We had a great experience with the house and the owner. We were there for 10 days for my sons allstar tournament. The owner was very kind and understanding of our needs during that week of baseball. We would stay again if we ever find ourself in that area again:) we were very pleased.

A great stay!

We enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the house and all it had to offer us. We spent time on the patio every day and enjoyed the incredible amount of bird activity! The views were outstanding and were everywhere you looked. Our dog also enjoyed the freedom of a fenced in yard ! The neighbors were wonderful-very friendly. Maryann was also great! Very helpful and informative. We enjoyed the location-very easy to get to wherever you wanted to go, but also out of the hubbub of lots of traffic and noise. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

A great winter

This property was more than we had hoped. We had not expected the semi-remoteness at first but welcomed the serenity very quickly. The desert was beautiful and full of surprises...the wildlife and birds were awesome. Great walking everyday. Great and easy shopping at either Nogales or Green Valley. Exploring the area was quick and easy. Maryann was sooo helpful and communicative in all our endeavours. We had an awesome winter getaway.

Quiet location, spacious home with breathtaking mountain views.

Our rental was a very positive experience. The home was large, airy, with all the amenities needed for a two month stay. The mountain and arroyo views were beautiful. The animal and bird life we had at our door step was great fun to observe (colorful birds each day at the seed feeders near the back porch, quail of many colors and types, pecked at the stones below the feeder, a roadrunner came almost every day to peck at his image in the slider glass on the porch, rabbits hopped by beyond the fences of the large back yard, and many other desert creatures went by as well). Mary Ann was a very attentive hostess, providing bird seed, maps, brochures of local attractions, extra paper products, improving the TV connection to assure we would not miss the World Series or any other TV programs! At first it seemed somewhat isolated from amenities, but we learned within two days to navigate for 10 minutes or so to almost all the places needed, whether stores, restaurants or local attractions. The room layout was such that we could have company stay over with ease in the spare bedroom and bath, use the study for computer work or quiet reading, have dinners in the sizable kitchen or the table and chairs on the covered porch and never feel we were falling over each other. The kitchen was well equipped for full meals with lots of spices and dry goods in the pantry unit. We highly recommend this home for anyone seeking a beautiful, restful vacation spot.

Beautiful Home In Relaxing Surroundings

This wonderfully furnished home is easy to get to, along with a get-a-way feel. Not only is the inside comfortable, the outdoor space adds to a completely enjoyable & relaxing stay. It was such a delight having a home like this to end up at after a day of adventure & exploring. The homeowner, Maryann, is awesome to deal with. I highly recommend this property.
