We had an absolutely wonderful couples getaway at this beautifully decorated cottage. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, peaceful, and welcoming everything felt. The cottage is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and calming atmosphere that made it easy to unwind right away.One of the highlights for us was the charming little courtyard garden—a private, tranquil space where we enjoyed our morning coffee and quiet evenings with a glass of wine. It added such a special touch to the experience.The cottage was incredibly well stocked with everything we could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to extra blankets and thoughtful touches throughout. We were especially touched by the welcome goodies left for us in the fridge—a lovely and unexpected surprise that made us feel truly cared for.Our hosts were outstanding—friendly, communicative, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a comfortable and memorable stay. Every detail had clearly been considered, and it made a big difference.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and reconnect. Classic English elegance

We stayed five nights. The accommodation is in beautifully decorated rooms as part of a vicarage cottage. It is beside a really lovely and well cared for Church. Owners live in part of the vicarage cottage and you share a laundry. However, at no time was privacy an issue. The rooms contain very tasteful modern and antique furniture and furnishings. Sumptuous bedding and towels. Generous gift basket.Delightful owners. Good location. Interesting area - New Forest. Loved the village of Ringwood.Highly recommend if you are seeking quiet in an elegant country setting.

I travel around quite a bit with work and do really enjoy a weekend break away…. This by far has taken the top spot of places to stay. I have nothing but compliments for this beautiful place. The welcome, the design, it’s so clean and comfy, every detail has been carefully chosen and it is all so well put together. My only regret is I only booked two nights!! I have already booked to come again. You should definitely add this to your holiday list, you won’t regret it :-)

It was everything it said it was online. Beautiful decor. Immediately felt at home. Location is perfect for exploring the New Forest. The welcome hamper was so thoughtful. Kim was amazing pre- stay and during our stay. I would not hesitate to book it again!

Perfect getaway

We’ve visited The Snug 5 times now and every time it is wonderful. Whether you have sunny and warm days to enjoy the garden or cold and windy days to enjoy the log burning fire, they are all perfect. It’s always so difficult to leave, hence why we keep coming back! Everything is spotless and truly lovely.

Wonderful weekend in this lovely cottage

We had a lovely stay at Kim’s place. It was very clean and comfortable, including very comfy bed. Kim was always quick to respond / communicate and very friendly. Nice location on edge of new forest and next to Blashford Lakes where you can see all sorts of birds. We really enjoyed!

What a gem. Luxuriously appointed with beautiful bedroom and quality comfy bed and bed linen. In such a perfect area for walks and lovely pubs only close by. The Royal Oak in particular serves great food.Would recommend this oroperty to anyone.

Beautiful Retreat

We stayed for 4 nights in September and can definitely give Kim and Nigel’s cottage 5 stars. Communication was brilliant and we had been left some wonderful supplies to get us started. The location next to Ellingham Church is very peaceful and the cottage is finished to a very high standard. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this property.

Very peaceful location and excellent quality accommodation

We really enjoyed our stay at the Snug, the property was spotlessly clean, comfortable and accessibility was very good. We enjoyed the quality treats in the welcome hamper, the best we have ever had! The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and we enjoyed spending time in the little garden, which was a real sun trap when the weather was good. Accessibility is sometimes a little difficult for me but there are no steps into the property from the parking space and one shallow step from the bedroom to the kitchen. A step out into the garden was manageable but the deck, although a perfectly normal height for most people was a bit high for me but there was room on the lower level to put one of the comfortable garden chairs, so I was able to enjoy using the space and watching the birds and squirrel. The kitchen is quite small, there is freezer space you can use in an outhouse. It's suitable for preparing light meals but equipment is limited but having the dishwasher was great. We found great places to eat out in the evening and for breakfast, so it wasn't an issue for us. Lots to do in the area, we visited some great gardens and the coast. We would recommend a stay at this peaceful retreat.
