Very beautiful house and garden with very friendly hosts. We particularly appreciated the cooking class and Barbaras home made meals!The house had a well equipped kitchen were we could prepare meals. Also a spacious living room, perfect for playing cars and relaxing when the weather is too warm.We really appreciated our week in Florence.

We loved our stay at this authentic farmhouse ! The family was very , very warm and welcoming and attentive to our needs / questions. If you don’t have a car ( we didn’t ) you need transport and we had a driver / tour one day . We loved the home cooked meals by Barbara and the pre- stocked groceries. It is quite bare bones - don’t expect any paper towels , any extras at all , not even those you might expect past guests have left . There is literally nothing provided so you must purchase . Mosquitoes were quite bad so bring spray in Sept !! It was so quaint, full of character ! Overall , fairly comfortable. You will enjoy it .

Great stay in Tuscany

The property was lovely and our unit was spacious and charming. The pool was a real bonus in the hot weather. The host family is fantastic, helpful with all aspects of our stay. We had a lovely dinner prepared by Barbara and the rest of the family. Paola was helpful with any requests at the property and with recommendations on sight seeing and shopping. A lovely property with fantastic hosts.

Highlight of our Trip to Italy!!

Our family of four - including our teen daughters stayed in this Villa and enjoyed our time immensely. The Villa was just as pictured and we appreciated the peaceful setting created by the hosts. Swimming in the new salt water pool was surreal as we took in the gardens and surroundings. The meal prepared by Chef Barbara and Nicco was just awesome - a must do treat if you book this rental. The other extras like the homemade olives, sun dried, wine were tasty so please indulge and request some. The days we spent in the Florentine Villa will rest in our memories forever! Thanks to Nicco and his family for creating such a special place!! At checkout Nicco’s mom treated us to some homemade bracelets we’re still wearing two week later.

A real Italian experience

Nicola & Barbara's country property is amazing! My family from NC visited in celebration of our daughter's graduation. We choose this property based on the excellent reviews, location, and on-site experiences. We all felt like we were on a typical Italian small farm with olive groves and vineyards with our extended family. We all will miss the incredible views and the hosts kindness... Nicola and Barbara were always available for questions and suggestions. We learned so much about the Tuscan region from them. The family loved the 'pasta making' experience with Nicola & Barbara. We also arranged for the 'dinner at home' option prepared by Barbara. The food was delicious and a perfect option after a long day of traveling to have a delicious homemade meal prepared and delivered. We will definitely return for a longer stay in the future.

Lovely place

The property is perfectly situated near Florence and within a relatively short distance of Siena, Lucca and Pisa. As a result, it is the perfect location to discover Toscany. The house is very comfortable, very clean and the rather large sized pool is a real added value during a hot summer.

Amazing Holiday, Perfect Hosts!

We received a warm welcome from Paola at the property. She was kind enough to help us with the little Italian language we spoke. Niccolo arrived and showed us around the property and answered all our questions.The place is as charming as the pictures that are posted. The next day Niccolo took us on a most beautiful tour of the Tuscany countryside, stopping for us to take pictures and explaining the history of the area and of course the grape fields used for wine making. We saw windmills and castles and then he took us to a winery, Chianti Rufina for a wonderful private tour and winetasting. We made side journeys on days to close by villages, like Sienna. He also told us about where to shop for food and restaurants to try. On the last evening there his wife Barbara, led a cooking class for us. We had so much fun doing homemade pasta and Tiramisu, and then we got to enjoy it all for dinner. It was a dream come true, Barbara and Niccolo are the perfect hosts and we will not hesitate to return there one day!!

Perfect Taste of Tuscany!

Wonderful Tuscan countryside stay! Niccolo and his family are amazing hosts! Fantastic Chianti Ruffino tour and winery visit and authentic dinner prepared at the Villa! Our whole visit was great and I would highly recommend to family and friends. We will be back!

slice of Heaven!!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Cafaggiolo the hosts were amazing! We would recommend the meal at home for your first night. When we arrived our meal was waiting for us in the fridge all we had to do was warm it up. We also scheduled the Chianti Classico Tour with Niccolo and did the added a wine tasting. We used the transfer service several times to the train which was handy not having a car. Paulo Niccolo's Mother was very kind and did the transfers and even supplied us with umbrellas when it was raining. We did a cooking class with Barbara which was one of the highlights of our stay in Florence. We had a wonderful stay!

Great Tuscan stay on near Florence

My family and I had an excellent stay at Villa Carfaggiolo. It was clean, quiet and beautiful. We did a cooking class that Niccolo's wife taught, and the food was the best we have had on our 2 week European trip. We learned how to make pesto bruschetta, Florentine crepes, Chianti pork stew, and Limonecello ricotta cake. Everything including the wine was fabulous. It was fun waking up on a real olive farm with the morning sun hitting the beautiful gardens and looking out over the rolling Tuscan hills. Niccolo was very helpful with recommendations of things to do in the area, restaurants, sights around Florence, etc. We would like to stay here again in the future.

Great experience!

We had a great experience at Villa Cafaggiolo. The location is beautiful and Niccolo and Barbara were great hosts. Barbara is an amazing cook and the dinner and cooking class were both loved by all. If we return to Tuscany we will definitely be back!

Experience of a lifetime!

We spent 3 days at Cafaggiolo and we had an incredible experience. The Villa is in a beautiful town just outside of Florence. Niccoló stocked our fridge upon arrival. He also led us on a wonderful tour of Chianti Classico. We loved learning the history of the region and he took us to two beautiful wineries. That night, his wife cooked us our favorite dinner in Italy. The family carbonara was a must have!! We spent the evening talking with Niccoló and his family and had so much fun. We truly loved our time on their property and hope to visit again soon. You can TRUST him!!

Charming!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Cafaggiolo. The property and location were nice and comfortable and located in a very tranquil location. There is a town nearby that has a large grocery store as well several restaurants. The owners were great to work with. Paola was wonderful at getting us settled and giving us tips on places to visit while we were there. Very enjoyable!

Amazing!

We were a group of 6 people and all were so pleased with our stay here. In addition to the beauty of the villa, Niccolo and Barbara are great hosts who make the stay so memorable. Prior to arriving at the villa, Niccolo was so responsive to all my emails/questions (and I had many). He was very helpful and informative. Being able to order food to have it in the refrigerator upon arrival was a nice touch. There is a beautiful pool so if you go in the summer you can cool off and relax by the pool. Once you book your stay be sure to book the experiences they offer. The night we arrived we had the private dinner cooked by Barbara. The food was delicious!! It was so nice to be able to enjoy dinner while also getting to know a little but about their family and the area. Another absolute must is the cooking class they offer. We made 3 different pastas and dessert. The cooking class was so fun and the food was amazing. Do not miss out on that experience. We did not rent a car. If you do not rent a car be sure to contact Niccolo about transfers and even a tour. He took us to the train to go to Florence which is close and took us on a Chianti tour (another highlight of the trip). I also was able to find private tours and car services that could get us at the villa. Our trip to Italy was extra special thanks to our time at this villa.

Sehr angenehme, unkomplizierte und zuvorkommende Vermieter! Schönes und sauberes Objekt mit einem sauberen Pool, welcher die Sommerwärme erträglich gestalten liess. Dazu in der Nähe von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und von der sehr imposanten Stadt Firenze. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert. Wir konnten wie erhofft einen erholsamen Urlaub geniessen. Villa Cafaggiolo was wonderful

We traveled with our three kids and my father and brother, and everyone was happy. The first night we arrived, we took a cooking class, and it was a great way to get to know our hosts, Nicolo and Barbara, and the area (not to mention, the dinner was delicious). They gave us tips about local foods and places to go. When our plans changed for one day of our trip, Nicolo recommended vineyard tours nearby, and they were wonderful. The apartment itself was clean, air conditioned, and had more than enough space for our group. The pool was a big plus also. After a day spent sightseeing in the heat, the kids were thrilled to return to the villa and jump in. The property was located near the village of Pontassieve which we visited a few times to pick up groceries, go for dinner and gelato, and get the train to Firenze. We had a terrific trip and have only positive things to say about Villa Cafaggiolo!

Great athmosphere, carfully styled and fantastic salt water pool. Great place if you are seeking a relaxed vacation but really close to the city of Firenze. And the family that hosted us are the nicest people one can imagine.

Didn’t want to leave!

Simply perfect! The apartment is clean and comfortable and our daugher could stay in the pool all day. The Pucci family are great hosts. Make sure to arrange dinner with them, because you don’t want to miss Barbara’s cooking! We also enjoyed the cooking class very much! We are definitely coming back! Grazie!
