Great mountain getaway
We loved our stay at the Reubeck Cabin/Cielo Vista! It was extremely well appointed with all the cooking utensils and many basic ingredients (spices, non-perishables) to make sure you don't have to pack absolutely everything for a night in. The pots and pans are well kept, to include the cast iron skillets which I appreciated. The views from the grounds, particularly the back deck and sitting room are amazing. We loved being able to sit and enjoy a morning coffee while our kids slept in the spare bedroom. They really loved playing in the loft, and felt like the kid space was just for them. We found the location easy to get to and central to a lot of the day trips we already had planned. The driveway might get dicey on the winter but our Jeep had no problem throwing itself up the hill.

Wish we stayed longer
The home is beautiful. The views are simply stunning. We were on a quick trip through CO and only stayed a couple days. We are already talking about the next time we come back. The beds are super comfortable and we had all the towels and kitchen amenities we needed. The fire table on the deck was awesome to sit around in the evening. The location was perfect for us. Our family enjoyed this leg of our trip the most.

Unbeatable views!
The pictures of this place do not do it justice. The mountains are the perfect backdrop for this cozy cabin. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the added bonus of toys and movies in the loft for the kiddos was awesome. The layout worked perfectly for our group of 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The deer visit every morning and we loved watching them while we ate breakfast. A reasonable price for such a gem!

Fantastic!

Long Weekend
We were looking for a spot in Ridgeway as home base for a long weekend with day trips to Telluride and Ouray. This location was 15+ minutes from Ridgeway proper but the drive to town for amenities (grocery, coffee, dinner access) was well worth it for the views and seclusion we were also wanting. Great loft area for kids play/sleep. Great patio seating, well stocked and comfortable. Will certainly look to rebook for future trips.

Sisters Weekend
Great place to get away for a sisters weekend. Abit off the highway but worth the drive. Sitting on the deck morning and evening was a treat being able to watch the hummingbirds, deer and chipmunks. Fully stocked kitchen is a huge plus. Will stay again on a heart beat. Thank you. Temaat sisters

Mountain retreat
The property was beyond what we expected. We were beyond amazed at the stunning views. There were 3 adult couples, (3 siblings and their spouses) and we all were in awe. Ridgeway is in a convenient location so we had day trips to Telluride, Ouray and Silverton. Montrose was convenient to get some grocery shopping in. The living area was spacious but we definitely utilized the deck outside every afternoon. We were surrounded by trees but the main view out back was wide open. As suggested, we hung the hummingbird feeder outside and watched as many came to feed. We also filled the tin bowl out back with fresh water and the deer stopped by to drink. The little stream below was delightful. Inside the kitchen was everything we needed to cook our evening meals. The washer and dryer came in handy and was so convenient. Great communication with Rick, the property manager. All of us would definitely stay here again!!

Elk Meadows
House was in a beautiful setting, very clean, posting was accurate. Front deck provided an incredible view for morning coffee. The only negative was that there wasnt air conditioning and it happened to be very hot while we were there. Fortunately it cooled down at night. Overall a 5 out of 5!

Wonderful stay in the mountains!!!
Everything was so perfect with our stay! The house was beautiful in a gorgeous setting. The kitchen had everything that we needed in the way of cooking, plus a grill, coffee pot, mixer, baking items and MUCH more. Besides our clothes, the house had everything that we could need. It was so comfortable and in such a beautiful spot in the mountains. Every morning we made our coffee and sat out on the patio looking at the gorgeous mountain and listening to the creek that runs through the property. We saw birds, deer and chipmunks from the porch. We had two couples with us and the bedroom situation was perfect. My husband and I slept upstairs in the loft and it was very comfortable. The house is not noisy and two fans are available upstairs, so people downstairs making coffee did not wake us up. This is probably the best VRBO that we have ever stayed in and we will definitely stay here again next time!!! Rick was very nice and communication was great. The house had everything we needed, so we didn’t need to contact him during our stay.

Absolutely Beautiful
Great location for us! This property is nicely off the beaten path, and comes.wirh a STUNNING view - the pictures in the listing do.not give it justice. Great location - ten minutes to Downtown Ridgeway, 20 to Ouray, plenty of great hiking and activities nearby. But the house and the view... Again, stunning and a perfect alpine retreat.

Can’t beat the view
This “cabin” sits on a hill that views an amazing mountain range. It’s quiet and beautiful! The cabin is gorgeous and spacious. We enjoyed the decor and had a blast. The kitchen has everything you need. They made sure to have games, bluetooth speakers and TV/internet options. Highly recommend

Astounding Views!
If you love the mountains, you will adore this property! With floor to ceiling windows, a wrap around deck and immediate access to walking trails and outdoor space- this house is a MUST! 20 minutes from town allows for a quick dinner date out- and a day trip to Ouray Hot Springs left our group feeling rested, at peace and relaxed. A secluded get away with quick amenities at your fingertips. Truly the best of both worlds!

Breathtaking
This cabin was perfect for our trip to the San Juan’s. The view off the deck is magical. Beautiful sun rises and sunsets. The hummingbirds were so much fun to interact with. I think at one time we had seven trying to fight for the 3 perch feeder. As soon as we arrived they began demanding food. I never knew hummingbirds made noise or could be so loud!

Mountain Hummingbird Paradise
The drive to the property was long and dusty. Once there, inertia set in and we relaxed on the porch to take in the fabulous views and watch the numerous hummingbirds at the feeder. Note: Please fill the feeder! You won't be disappointed. It would have been nice to have a box or two of Kleenex; otherwise, the kitchen and the whole house had all the amenities. The deck was amazing, and a great place to relax after a day kayaking on the Ridgway Lake.

Our family had a wonderful 3-night stay. We loved the gorgeous views from the living room and deck outside, we enjoyed s'mores and conversation around the fire table on the deck, and there was plenty of space for our crew to eat, sleep, and play. A great place to get away from the hustle of life. Quite, relaxing, great views of the mountains (and the lunar eclipse). Near the end of the road so there's no traffic noise. Well stocked with everything you need.

Amazing Views!
The views of this property are absolutely amazing! The steep driveway did not bother us. The house was clean and having the inside gas fireplace and outside gas fire pit was perfect! Most of our activities and time were spent in Ouray. This house if pretty far out from Ouray all on dirt roads which are excellent. The views made up for all the travel distance. Would absolutely recommend for the beauty of the views and privacy.

Spectacular Property!
We’ve stayed at many short-term vacation rentals, but this is the best equipped home we’ve ever encountered. The women were ecstatic about the fact that the kitchen had EVERYTHING you could possibly want. The house itself is beautiful and decorated in authentic western style with many family treasures. It is clear the owners built and furnished this to be wonderful for their own family. And sitting on the deck around the gas fire pit, or eating at the table, barbecuing steaks, and so forth while looking at a fantastic view of the San Juan mountains—well we felt we were in heaven!

We were blown away by the stunning views and quiet area which was just what we were looking for. The property manager was awesome too and drove 20 minutes to meet us for an item we accidentally left behind. We will definitely stay here again!!!

Summer family vacation
This property was very nice and found it to be everything as presented online and knew going into the rental that parking was an issue because of the hill, and the fact we were hauling atv's/trailers that we would park the trailers elsewhere at a friends house. We have been here in the past and the atv's are not a problem if you obey speed limits, etc. This year the HOA members seem to make their own rules and decided to make up their own rules about riding them in the neighborhood, which was our mode of transportation to and from the house due to our trailers. So if you decide to take atv's and stay in Elk Meadows make sure the house you rent has plenty of space for your trailer and good access of the HOA secretary may chase you down as she did us. As for the property manager, the house was somewhat dirty like hairs in the sink as we arrived, we cleaned it and did not complain. We left a few unopened items in the fridge as we had in the past with VRBO and often times the cleaning people will keep, but I hear the property manager is complaining about that. The property manager was in corporate entertainment which has gone away due to COVID, and we believe him to be cleaning the properties he manages himself and even though we left a day early and left beds unmade and towels in the laundry room as requested, he asked my 15 year old son who went back to the house for his pillow by himself if we would run a few loads of laundry for him because he was "training" a new cleaning person and it would take him longer than normal, reminder we left over 24 hours earlier than what we paid for. The property manager did have one instance where my nephew staying in a different house did have music on in his side by side and asked us not to, it was addressed and never happened again. Long story short I have no complaints about the property itself, and knew that we were renting one with a challenging driveway but worth it for the view, as we stayed next door last year and wanted to try this house. What we did not bargain for is the agendas of some board members that quite frankly do not want some property owners to VRBO their homes. So if you are taking kids or ATV's, I would advise you be extremely careful about anywhere in Elk Meadows. My wife and I are strongly considering purchasing a vacation home in the mountains and Elk Meadows has been removed from our list of consideration.

Loved our family stay
This home was perfect for our family vacation with my mother included. We all loved the location, the quiet, and the views. You can see the Milky Way at night and there is even a star gazing location nearby at Top of the Pines. August can get a little warm inside the house (~80 F) during the days with no air conditioning. It always cooled off at night. The drive is quite steep for parking but it worked out ok. Had some difficulty with that.

Beautiful scenery and home!
We stayed here for four nights. Amazing views and the home is just beautiful! We enjoyed sitting on the deck every day. A doe and her fawn were frequent visitors! The house had everything we needed. Ridgway and Ouray aren’t too far away and we enjoyed hiking in the area and exploring the towns. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return! Rick was a wonderful host, very quick to respond and lives down the road if anything comes up. Highly recommend!
