  • But it is on a quiet point on beautiful Big Rideau Lake, part of the historic Rideau Canal system, where the fishing runs 24/7! Insulated, cozy, lots of space for kids to play. Dock space for one boat, and a canoe included. This is a paddler's paradise, and a true nature-lover's getaway. Two bedrooms, bathroom with tub. On a quiet cottage road 5 minutes to Portland, and just an hour's drive to Kingston or Ottawa. Pet friendly.

Great experience

Charming Cabin!

Our family had a wonderful vacation. The cabin has everything you need and was very cozy. Also great fishing on the lake and lots of places to visit nearby will be back again. Thanks Liz and Jane for a great stay.

Lovely spot in the woods. If you want a 5 star chalet this isnt it. What it is is clean, comfortable, well equipped cottage with a wonderful, resopnsive and friendly host!

This is a sweet little cottage, it's all you need. Liz went out of her way to ensure it was clean and provided all of the essentials. The kitchen is fully equipped. Centrally located to so many fun things to do. The fishing was great, Pike, Bass & perch. We walked the Cataraqui trail near Chaffey's Lock, We visited Foley Mountain Conservation area and hiked to Spy Rock to get an amazing view. The trails are amazing. What a beautiful area!

Very nice cabin

Quiet cabin by the lake. Everything you need is present in the cabin! Clean beds, pots and pans,more than enough towels, games, wood for the fireplace, a big frisse etc etc. We had a very pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful week away from home in this bright, cozy and clean cabin supplied with everything we needed. A yellow canoe was available to explore the nooks and crannies along the shoreline of Big Rideau Lake and the resident critters - feathered, furry and aquatic A peaceful and fun stay. My husband and I really enjoyed this little fishing cabin in the woods. It was just what we needed. There are beautiful trees and the fireflies put on an amazing lightshow for us every single evening for the entire week that we stayed there. We had everything we needed and all that is described in the listing.Liz and Robbie were very pleasant to meet and speak with and told us a quite a bit about the town. Our time at the cabin

We enjoyed our 4 days there . We were able to catch edible size fish off the dock and just to sit and watch all the wildlife happening was great . Cooked over a open firepit all week . Great experience we had thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin in the woods

Quaint private cottage

Simple, clean and fully equipped cottage perfect for bass opening weekend on the Big Rideau. Tighter squeeze for our 19ft Nitro and Denali to turn around so best for smaller boats if you are bringing your own . Fans are great but no AC, just to know in case someone absolutely needs it. We would highly recommend for a couples get away .

Another Successful Retreat

This was our third year visiting this lovely cabin with all the needed modern necessities. Always clean and welcoming, our get away was peaceful, and hassle free. Loved having a canoe to use and a well stocked kitchen for the best meals. We will return.

The perfect getaway

This adorable cabin was in a beautiful spot surrounded by nature and quite. It had everything we needed. Elizabeth and Jane were very welcoming and responsive. We will definitely come back next year!

Restful and extremely well-appointed

This is an outstanding cottage rental. A beautiful property that has everything one might want (and many things I did not know I needed but really appreciated). The owners were super quick to respond and extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place!!!

Just what we needed.

Everything was so easy from finding this getaway on the water to walking in the door of the cottage . Lots of windows to let the sunshine in. Beds were so comfy. The lake was wonderful to sit by in the early morning with a cup of coffee or at sundown with a wine.
