"The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again."

"We enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay at the Castle House. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was extremely well appointed and full of character, and our breakfast was delicious. The location right in the heart of the town centre was excellent, and we were able to park nearby. Highly recommended! "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, the receptionist had booked guests in a million times and was very efficient. The young waitress who served me was originally from Kent and l recognised her accent from coming from where l used to live.
My room 101 was a nice location, full view of the Scotch Corner roundabout and could see the snow and when it was clear so l could get on my way to continue my journey to Scotland. It really is in a fantastic location.

"Heating turned on at 20degrees but frankly when it’s minus 7 outside this was not enough.
A fan in the bathroom would be good because it’s unreasonable to expect the window to be open when freezing outside.
Shower was hard to adjust.
A manual when you arrive would be a help too
If you had 4 people in this house it would be too small.
A simple double bed in the second bedroom would provide a bit more space to move around.
Towel rail in the bathroom would be better if you could tirn it off and...
