Amazing lake front property perfect for bringing your four legged friend (complete with front screened yard and a screened in back porch). It was a great spot for three families to enjoy the water and all the water and outdoor games while the baseball fanatics experienced Baseball Hall of Fame. While the some adults slept in the children could escape to the basement. The small shore line allowed for us to wade in and for our water loving dog to take a dip. The host was lovely and very willing to accommodate our needs. Would 100% recommend.

Great on the lake location

My parents and I went to New York to bid my grandmother farewell. My father was born and raised in Richfield Springs. He has fond memories of the area but has never stayed by the lake. I found this cabin and thought it would be perfect. We enjoyed the cabin. It was large enough to give us space but cozy too. The downstairs game room was so much fun on rainy days. The view of the lake is amazing. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen is well-equipped.

Lovely stay

*This first sentence is just to warn the next renters that we did not have kitchen trash bags nor dishwashing soap* This was not a problem for us as we got trash bags at the dollar general and hand washed our dishes since we did most of our eating out in town. We had everything else we needed and the house was SO nice with lovely lake views. It is also VERY dog friendly with dog bowls and toys and an enclosed porch and yard area and dog door. 20ish minute drive to Cooperstown. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

Perfect Birthday Weekend

We stayed here for my partners Birthday and even in the dead of winter this place is so cute and cozy. The kitchen and dining room were perfect for making snacks and doing crafts. The basement is spacious and the back porch is divine with the lake view. We can't wait to rent again in the summer time!

Quiet Family Baseball Hall of Fame Getaway

The property is very lovely and family friendly. We highly recommend it for families like ours, with young children and a dog. You cannot beat the views, peaceful sound of the lake, and quiet location. Just a short drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It was perfect. The Host, Lindsey, was extremely accommodating, understanding and friendly.

No complaints!

The property was perfect for what we needed. The home is very cute but has plenty of space for a number of people and the large pup we have. The fenced in area and gates on the deck were super for the dog. The home was well equipped so aside from our clothes and groceries, not much else needed to be brought. The views cannot be beat and the back deck was used more than any spot on the property. The sunsets were amazing. Easy walk down to the water and just enough shoreline to park a chair, put our feet in and have the dog swim. I would rent this house again in a second. Was a great time and no complaints!!

A wonderful place to stay.

This place is wonderful. The pictures are exactly what you get. Instructions were clear and very reasonable. Cooperstown is a short, easy drive away and the entire area is beautiful. The lake is great, the views are great, the deck is great. It was rainy for most of our stay, but it just didn't matter. We just loved sitting out on the deck when it was raining and fishing when it wasn't. We're trying to figure out when we can get back here! Absolutely loved it.

Family Weekend

Our stay overall was fantastic. Unfortunately we did not have great weather so we were stuck inside a lot. Fortunately though there are two huge windows that provided a beautiful view of the lake. We had one amazing sunset! That is worth the stay!! The only complaints were that the ping pong paddles were broken, one was taped together and the other had no padding on the paddle, and the mattress on the pull out couch downstairs is not usable. Extremely thin! Would be good for small kids but not adults. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful Lake House

This is the perfect place to stay if you’re going to Cooperstown. A short drive away. 10 of us stayed here comfortably. Amazing place for a little dog or two. We were thankful all week we stayed there because the kids had plenty to do in an area that doesn’t have a lot.

Peaceful quiet lakeside retreat close to Cooperstown

Loved the large covered porch facing the lake (wish we had better weather to enjoy it, but it is a fantastic feature). Tons of outdoor furniture & equipment to enjoy and use (again, we didnt get to because of all the rain, but the number of kayaks, tables, chairs, etc was impressive). Loved the fenced in front yard & rear porch for our dog- didnt even realize this was feature- what a bonus! This appears to be a family retreat that is rented out to outsiders when not in use by the family, so we were glad to be able to enjoy it. Lake Canadarago is indeed beautiful, clean, peaceful and so was the area. Bedrooms upstairs were clean. I'm not a fan of carpeting in dog friendly rentals, but there was no smell, stains or issues. The beds were comfortable, bedding nice & clean & soft. 2 rooms are much larger & have plenty of space. The other 2 are smaller, but they are perfectly fine for sleeping. We had no issues with the heat even having had much colder temps than we expected. The bay windows lakeside on this house are the gold mine- even in bad weather, you can look out and see the lake scenery anytime you want.....just lovely. Huge mudroom as you first enter the house- we kept a lot of stuff just stored there for easy access. Plenty of hooks/racks for towels in the bathrooms, coats in the mudroom. Along a fast road, but the house sits well off the road so you dont hear the traffic. Also plenty of parking Bathrooms were nice and clean, good water pressure. Only suggestions from us would be a card table possibly as there was only one table for eating and we were trying to do a puzzle during our stay with all the rain. Stair treads do not stay in place-we just had to be careful and watch our step going up & down, but no issues. The owner was FANTASTIC with communication and helping. Thank you for sharing your family vacation home with us, wish we could have stayed longer.
