Amazing Apartment

The apartment was perfect for us. So much was provided; the welcome pack was out of this world. From fig jam to wine to eggs to cheese to chorizo spread and much more. All local produce which was delicious. The apartment itself felt roomy as did the balcony. There were games, body boards, information, fab fridge freezer and a lovely stocked bathroom and equipped kitchen. Miguel was on hand for advice and tips for discovering the island. I wouldn’t hesitate to re- book. The best part was the view and hearing the sea crashing from inside. Just perfect!

Wonderful hosts, great vista.

A fabulous stay with probably the most attentive hosts we’ve encountered. The property has a great view from a lovely balcony area. The unit was stocked with local foods, enough for a few brunches. Very helpful suggestions for activities on the island and attentive to anything we needed.

Wonderful Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sao Miguel thanks to our wonderful hosts Miguel and Romina! From the generous welcome package of local goodies and groceries to the sight seeing tips and restaurant suggestions. The apartment has great views of Moinhos Beach and is in walking distance of two restaurants as well as a couple of hiking trails. A great location for discovering the island. You won’t be disappointed if you book with Miguel and Romina!

Far Exceeded Our Expectations

This property and the owners far exceeded our expectations. The owners went above and beyond at creating a warm, home environment with every possible amenity we could have asked for. The property is in an amazing location within walking distance to a beautiful beach, restaurants, trails. My sister and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sao Miguel.

Hill Top Hideaway

The apartment is on a hill as the name implies. The Unit was spotless with more than adequate supplies. Neighborhood is quiet, no traffic. The owners were the very best we ever had when renting, so helpful and answered all questions. The view from the condo was beautiful, a short distance to a beach and waterfall. The owners also provided us with some local delicious food which we enjoyed very much. Maddi Family

Tolle Vermieter mit viel Liebe zum Detail

Miguel und Romina haben sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben um für uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir kommen garantiert wieder und können jedem nur empfehlen für die Ferien dieses Appartement zu mieten.

Best VRBO ever!

Miguel and Romina are truly amazing. They went WAY above and beyond, even to the point of baking a birthday cake when they knew we were celebrating 3 birthdays! They met us at the airport, gave us a cell to use, and even found a place for us to rest while we waited for our rental to be ready. Highly, highly recommend. It was spotless, comfortable, and incredibly well stocked - even had a kids playroom and toys. Miguel provides very extensive recommendations on what to do, where to eat, etc. and everything he recommended was excellent. We had the most amazing time, and felt so welcomed! Thank you Miguel and Romina!

Amazing location, property, and hosts.

Put simply, Miguel and Romina offer one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. From meeting us and showing us the property to checking out, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable at this great property. Porto Formoso is an excellent location to access all areas of the island by car and features a quaint village and excellent beach. Miguel gave us a cell phone to use and texted awesome info for sights, hikes, and meals. He was immediately available for any questions and went above and beyond with a welcome package of food and beverages, as well as toys for the kids. The apartment is well appointed and not a single detail is overlooked. We would stay here again without question and would recommend this property to family and friends. Thanks again Miguel and Romina for an awesome stay!

Schöner geht nicht

Wir wurden bereits am Flughafen von Miguel und seiner Frau abgeholt, was eine große Erleichterung war, da wir nur einen Kleinwagen und mit fünf Personen viel Gepäck hatten. Sie brachten uns zur Wohnung und dort erwartete uns eine große Überraschung: alle Köstlichkeiten der Azoren, die man sich nur vorstellen kann. Es war ein herrliches Willkommens-Mahl. In der Wohnung findet man ALLES, was nötig ist für einen wunderbaren Urlaub. Die Wohnung liegt in einem Mehrfamilienhaus. Morgens war es manchmal recht laut, weil hellhörig. Ansonsten ist das Haus idyllisch gelegen mit Blick auf den Strand. Ein Mietwagen empfiehlt sich. Alles bestens und gerne wieder!

Unbelievable warm welcome in a fantastic house with a fantastic view

Although we had read about it in other comments, we have not really expected such a warm welcome and perfectly prepared home for our 1 week stay. Abolutely 100% clean appartment with really every feature you could think about and even with plenty of premium food gifts from the region the owner had prepared for us (several kind of cheese, and bread, eggs, ham, wine, beer, various fruits and jam, and and and....). Not talking various all new shower gels and plenty of towls we were free to use. Also he gave us a free WLAN module which worked all round the island for the whole time .....really fantastic. Thank you very much Miguel! .

Perfection! Welcoming hosts, beautiful views, lovely location

Miguel and Romina met us at airport in spite of our 6AM arrival, gave us a mobile phone for duration of our stay, led us to the apartment where we were greeted with ample supply of fresh eggs, cheeses, meats, fruit, breads and even some beer and wine! Open the door to balcony and greeted with fantastic sea, cliffs and Mountain View’s. There were a couple of wonderful short hikes on walking distance and we loved going to the casual beach restaurant for later afternoon drinks. Miguel was alway immediately responsive to all questions we had and theyhad many suggested restaurants and touring tips. The apartment itself was cheery, bright, very clean and well supplied kitchen. We feel that anyone staying here would be as happy as we were with our stay

séjour génial !!!

C'était la première fois pour nous avec Abritel/home away et vraiment aucun regret. Une location au top !! Des propriétaires géniaux ( Miguel et Romina), viennent vous chercher à l'aéroport même à une heure tardive, ils vous guident jusqu'à l'appartement , et nous laissent découvrir seuls l'appartement. Ils nous mettent à disposition un téléphone portable pour pouvoir le joindre pour toutes demande et également nous envoie des messages avec conseils pour la visite de l'ile (restaurants et endroits à découvrir). A notre arrivée tardive, ils nous avaient préparé quelques trucs à manger et tout ce qu'il fallait pour notre petite de 18 mois vraiment comme à la maison, également des produits locaux à nous faire découvrir. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans l'appartement même pour les enfants en bas âges et surtout une machine à laver!!!. La seule chose qu'il pourrais éventuellement manquer et c'est vraiment un détail... c'est un plateau sur la chaise haute pour enfant car la table est trop haute par rapport à la chaise. La vue de la terrasse WAOUHHHH un vrai bonheur pour prendre le petit déjeuner avec cette vue sur la mer et la plage des Moinhos. Enfin voilà une très belle découverte à recommander sans modération ;) Merci à vous Miguel et Romina vous êtes au TOP ;) ;) ;)

We'd never had such a warm welcome at any place we've ever visit! Miguel guided us to the appartment, stopping at a magnificent viewpoint. So our holiday started very relaxed, even with a rental car with problems. In the appartement everything was there: a big welcome package with fresh cheese, wines, bread. etc. We didn't need to go to a supermarket this arriving day! There were toys for the kids, beach stuff and it was very cosy with a spectacle view of the ocean! Miguel en his wife gave us enough information to visit on the Island. And beautiful it is! We like to come back some day! Almost excellent...1 little thing was that we could fell the spirals in the dubble bed, but then we have the best bed at home. Thank you very much Miguel and Rowina for a beautiful and relaxing stay at Sao Miguel!

Sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete und gepflegte Wohnung!!!

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen und bietet einen fantastischen Ausblick über Praia Moinhos. Diesen kann man beim Frühstück, Relaxen oder beim Grillen vom Balkon aus geniessen. Zum Starnd sind es 5 Gehminuten die Straße runter. Wir waren sofort von der Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft vom Vermieter Miguel begeistert. Er hat sich wirklich um alles gekümmert und uns sogar mit frischen Eiern vom eigenen Hof versorgt. Auch für unseren Sohn (1,5 Jahre alt) wurde alles nötige bereitgestellt. Die Wohnung ist bis ins Detail super ausgestattet und bietet eine tolle Küche mit großem Gasherd, Backofen und diversen Kleingeräten von guter Qualität und in sehr gepflegten Zustand. Einzig der Wohn- und Essbereich ist nicht gerade üppig dimensioniert aber gut ausreichend. Unser Fazit: Absolut zu empfehlen, wir werden wiederkommen!

Excellente situation et formidable service !

Superbe! De loin le meilleur service que nous ayons eu depuis que nous louons sur HomeAway/Abritel. Miguel et Romina (propriétaires) sont non seulement adorables mais également d'une efficacité à toute épreuve. Ils viennent vous chercher à l'aéroport et vous guident jusqu'à l'appartement qu'ils vous laissent découvrir seuls, pour votre plus grand confort et comme si vous entriez chez vous. Miguel vous remet un smartphone que vous pourrez utiliser gracieusement durant le séjour afin de le joindre pour toute demande de renseignement. Il distillera également quelques conseils (tips) pour agrémenter votre découverte de l'île. A notre arrivée dans l'appartement, parfaitement propre et entretenu, de nombreux produits locaux délicieux nous attendaient sur la table et dans le frigo. Tout est prévu pour se sentir comme à la maison: pain, œufs, fromage, confitures, café, thé, boissons etc. Même le charbon de bois est disponible pour le BBQ. La salle de bain est complètement équipée de savons, shampoing, dentifrice etc. Les lits sont préparés et de nombreuses serviettes sont à disposition. A noter car non précisé dans la description: la présence d'un lave-linge qui nous a été bien utile! Bref, tout est fait pour se sentir immédiatement confortablement installé. Et avec tout ça, j'en oubliais presque de parler de cette merveilleuse vue depuis la terrasse sur la belle plage de Moinhos. Certaines choses auraient-elles pu rendre le séjour encore plus merveilleux? Peut-être mais elles semblent bien dérisoires faces aux nombreux points positifs de l'appartement: on peut citer l'absence de lave-vaisselle ou de toaster (bien qu'annoncé?) et la literie un peu trop dure à notre goût... Pour le check-out, Miguel vous fait une confiance absolue: il vous suffit de laisser les clés et le smartphone dans l'appartement et de claquer la porte en partant. A noter qu'aucune caution n'est demandée à l'arrivée. Bref, notre plus belle expérience de location à recommander sans la moindre hésitation! Merci Miguel et Romina, nous espérons vraiment pouvoir revenir dans votre bel appartement! The "Belgian Team" ;-)

Appartement idéalement situé et accueil exceptionnel

Appartement idéalement situé pour visiter l'île, très propre et très bien équipé pour une famille avec enfants. Vue exceptionnelle sur la mer et une des plus belles plages de l'île. Le Propriétaire Miguel a été aux petits soins avec nous : de l'accueil à l'aéroport, à notre arrivée à l'appartement avec de nombreux produits frais et locaux offerts ! Et sa disponibilité et ses conseils ! Bref, rien à redire, c'était parfait ! A recommander sans hésitation !
