The villa itself was really spacious and beautiful. Apart from a few defects such as missing tiles in the shower room and kitchen floor tiles are coming apart so watch you don’t catch your feet on them. The outside pool is amazing, perfect depth for kids. There is no indoor pool as listed. There are TVs in most of the bedrooms but not all, but unfortunately we couldn’t get them to work. We did have a loss of water but it was after the earthquake and returned within a few hours.
The location is at the top of a steep hill. We didn’t feel comfortable walking down the hill as there is no pavement, only a dirt road and a steep drop. A car is a must for staying at this villa. Do keep Teta’s directions handy as many taxi drivers found it difficult to find us. We unfortunately encountered a really rude taxi driver who was recommend by Teta, and so for a few days we were unable to leave the villa. Teta was brilliant, always on hand via WhatsApp if we needed anything. I feel communication could’ve been a little better in terms of letting us know when cleaners/pool guy was coming as it was quite a shock when a man suddenly appeared in the garden (we were a group of women and children.) On the last day we had a late flight and so had requested a late check out, we were awoken at 7am to a team of men cutting the grass which was a shame as we already had a very long day ahead of us.
