Reykjavik centre apartment

Bookng and communication with host was easy and quick. Check in instructions thorough and accurate. Location fabulous in heart of Reykjavik, on the Rainbow Street.However, asked for earlier check in time, advised to message o day of arrival, which i did. Was told they would let me know and would prioritise cleaning. Check in did not occurs until 3pm exactly. Also, bayhroom needs a good clean and paint job. Filthy, mouldy walls. Pictures inline are inaccurate. Rest of apartment is great, eell euiped. Would stay againdid.

Mixed Experience - Fantastic Location

I usually am a fan of the 5 star review even when things aren't perfect, because nothing is. But this property had a couple of big problems you need to be aware of. First the good .... the location I amazing amazing amazing. It's a 10 out of 5! Also, the beds and bedding are top notch. But on VRBO it shows that the large double bed can be separated into two twins upon request. However, BEWARE, this is not an option! Luckily the couch turned out to be workable as a sleeping surface for one of our understanding friends but this could have been a HUGE problem. And even though they promised to bring us extra bedding for the couch, they never showed up during our 3 night stay. The next problem is the WIFI is terrible. It is inconsistent. I used mostly cell phone data while I was there because you could not rely on the wifi and waiting for things to load was frustrating. Overall Iceland has great wifi, so maybe you can put up with it at your apartment. Overall it is super bare bones and missing the practical handy things most VRBOs have. Kitchen stuff is minimal. Another example there is only 1 bedside table in the big bedroom even though there is room for one on the other side. There is no place to put your suitcase except the floor, even though there is room. Why not at least have a folding option available? Bedroom 2 is tiny but has a great balcony. There was a broken window and rotting soup in the teakettle, but otherwise quite clean. Location makes up for everything!!!!

Nice stay in the heart of Reykjavik

Nice apartment in great location within walking distance of everything in Reykjavik. Having two bedrooms was great and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Bathroom could use an update. Living space was comfortable. Overall a nice stay.

Location, location, location

We loved the central location in an enjoyable and very walkable area of your very nice city. The apartment met all our needs, and our grandson especially enjoyed looking out the window to observe all the passers by on Rainbow Street.

Perfect Location - Perfect Apartment for 2-3 people

Absolutely perfect apartment in the heart of the city. You walk right out onto the Rainbow. Everything was within a 5-10 minute walk. What a great little city this is. Reminds me of Portland Maine.

Nice apartment in great location

We stayed at the Ava Apartments 3-6 December 2023. The unit was exactly as described. The location was perfect right on Rainbow Street. We were able to walk or take the hop on bus to every place we wanted to go. Lots of places to eat and there is a tour assistace location just around the corner. WiFi was strong. The only concern was that we did not get access codes until we were about to board our overnight flight, which made me nervous. The group managing the unit was very responsive answering emails. We would stay here again.

Iceland Family adventure

For a mom and son Iceland adventure this location was perfect in every way …locality to everything, food, drinks, shopping and all the sites … we checked off most of our sightseeing list and those that we didn’t was only due to the distance outside of Reykjavík. we could not ask for a better place. Easy to get in and out of. Plenty of space full of amenities and great communication with the host. Thank you for making our Icelandic adventure great..

Love, love, love it! The location was within minutes of all of the venues for Iceland Airwaves! (And on the rainbow road just down from the Hallgrimskirkja) Self check in was simple, any questions were answered quickly. Bus stop 6 is just a few minutes walk to the apt. The two bedroom was a great size for my friend and I, one bedroom is quite large while the other is smaller. I will note, though, there is no Nespresso machine in apt 2, as shown in the photos. Just a small coffee maker. But! Loads of coffee shops close by, and a lovely crepe eatery that does wonderful coffee, right across the rainbow road. I will definitely be back to Reykjavik and would most definitely stay here again! Absolutely fantastic.

The manager of the property was extremely helpful as we needed to leave our luggage in the apartment prior to our check in time. This was easily negotiated. As well when there was a power failure the manager was prompt in reassuring us a getting it fixed

Central location is absolutely perfect for exploring Reykjavik. Enjoyed watching excited tourists take their photograph on the famous Rainbow Road from our windows. Spiral staircase to apartment can be slightly tricky to get large suitcases up to it.
