Villa Elies stands in Mesi, Rethymno, with olive trees on the property and on every neighbouring plot, in a very peaceful spot full of birdlife. The 140 square metre house has 2 bathrooms, a garden, a barbecue, outdoor dining and a rooftop for watching the sunset, and nothing is shared with other guests. A rental car is a must.

A quiet single-level house among the olive groves of Mesi, with its own pool and room for up to 8 guests. It suits families and groups of friends who want space, privacy and long, slow days outdoors.

Private pool, sea and mountain views: the villa has its own pool and sunloungers, with views of the sea and the mountains. Olive trees grow on the property and on every neighbouring plot, which gives real privacy, and the area is very peaceful, with plenty of birdlife. Read by the pool, have a swim and take in the view.

Room for everyone, nothing shared: the house covers 140 square metres on one level, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Outside there is a garden, a balcony, outdoor furniture, an outdoor dining area and a barbecue grill, and the rooftop is the place to watch the sunset. The whole villa is yours for your stay.

Set up for longer stays: free parking on the premises, right at the house, plus a washing machine, a dryer, a drying rack and an iron, a safe, a mosquito net and beach essentials. The area offers many possibilities for hiking and cycling, and the villa is a good base for trips to the south coast.

The beds: bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has two single beds and bedroom 3 has two single beds. There is also a full-size sofa bed, making six beds in total. There are 2 bathrooms, with towels, shampoo, body soap and a hair dryer.

Inside there is air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a TV. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, toaster and coffee maker, along with cooking basics, wine glasses and a dining table. Bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, hangers and clothing storage are provided. The house has a private entrance, a smoke detector, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit.

Guests have the whole villa and its grounds to themselves for the length of their stay: all four bedrooms, both bathrooms and the kitchen, as well as the private pool, the garden, the rooftop and the outdoor dining area. Nothing is shared with other guests. Your car can be parked on the premises, right at the house.

Olive trees surround the house, not only on the property but on all the neighbouring plots, which gives it real privacy. The area is very peaceful, with plenty of birdlife: a place to relax in tranquillity and escape a hectic life.

The location also suits an active holiday, with many possibilities for hiking and cycling, and for nature walks along narrow roads through villages and olive groves, with village tavernas nearby. It is a good base for exploring Crete, including trips to the south coast and the Libyan Sea.

The nearest supermarket is 5.4 km away, the doctor and pharmacy 5.5 km, the beach 5.9 km and cafes 6.5 km.

A rental car is a must for staying here. Approximate road distances: Chania airport approx. 80 km, Heraklion airport approx. 70 km, Chania port (Souda) approx. 65 km and Heraklion port approx. 70 km. Free parking is on the premises, right at the house.

Check-in is between 16:00 and 23:00 and check-out is by 10:00. We welcome you in person at the villa and hand over the keys, so please let us know your arrival time in advance.

Quiet hours are 14:00-18:00 and 23:00-08:00, out of respect for the neighbours and the peace of the area. The villa sleeps a maximum of 8 guests. No parties or events, and pets are not allowed. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Children must be supervised at the pool at all times, and no glass is allowed by the pool.

The villa is in the countryside, with the nearest supermarket about 5.4 km away, so it is a good idea to pick up groceries on your way for the first evening.
