Beautiful villa

It was an amazing stay the host George offers lots of added extras like getting your shopping in before you arrive,breakfast delivery and sorting your car rental or transfers. Everywhere is clean and well presented and in a lovely village and not far from some amazing beaches.Loved it

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Urlaub in einer fantastischen Villa. Wir danken George und seine Familie auch für den herzlichen Empfang mit Raki und Selbstgebackenem und dem lieben Abschiedsgeschenk. Einen Dank auch an George für die guten Tipps und Empfehlungen. Hervorzuheben ist der Reinigunsservice mit frischer Bettwäsche und Handtüchern. In dieser Villa kann man sich nur wohlfühlen.

Gracious Hosts

Our family just finished our stay and cannot say enough about George and his mother’s graciousness and hospitality. They truly make a beautiful place even more enjoyable with their welcome, warmth and commitment to excellence. The house had plenty of space, comfortable beds and furniture and the outside areas with the pool were plentiful. The property was located within walking distance of grocery stores, pharmacy, and tavernas and bakeries. Excellent home and hosts and would highly recommend staying here when visiting Crete.

Greece Dream Trip

George and his family are fantastic! George was right there anytime we needed anything. His mother and sister made us an unbelievable breakfast! Coming from snow in Pennsylvania, to sunbathing and 70 (all week!) in Crete, was a wish come true. We took advantage of seeing and experiencing as much of Crete, as we could!! 10 out of 10!!!! We loved every part of our trip. Kate and family!

Super Villa

Die Villa u vor allem die Vermieter waren absolut super! Wir haben noch nie ein so toll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus gemietet u so aufmerksame Vermieter gehabt! Zum Empfang hatte der Vermieter für uns extra ein super leckeres Gebäck gemacht u mit uns einen Begrüßungsraki getrunken. Der Pool u alles Weitere sind super u absolut zu empfehlen! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Fabulous hosts, fabulous week

Was very enjoyable stay, hosted s provided lots of valuable information. Pool was wonderful for kids and big kids. Market, restaurants, bakery and coffee shops all within walking distance. Bus stop block away from villa. There were 8 of us but lots of room!! I would stay here again.

Stunning Villa in a quiet village

Wow…. This holiday and Villa was amazing. We arrived quite late in the evening and we’re still greeted by George and his family who had thoughtfully provided sandwiches, pastries and some Raki. George gave us a run through and walk round of this stunning Villa. The Villa is beautiful with plenty of room for our party of 8 people. This Villa has everything you need for a perfect stay The Villa is immaculate and you feel guilty for making any mess but with 6 teeens/young adults this wasn’t easy lol The outside area is where we spent most of our time chilling on the upstairs terrace and enjoying the pool and bbq. The local amenities are sufficient enough to provide you with.most of your daily needs and the local bakery and pizza place are very friendly. We made constant use of the local bus at EUR1.40 taking us into the beautiful town of Rethymon where there is everything you can imagine to complete your perfect holiday. We would all like to personally thank George and his family for hosting and providing the perfect setting for a great family holiday. We would love to return again in the future

Family holiday

We stayed in villa Rogida and Elia as a large family group. The villas were clean, beautifully presented and well equipped. George was extremely helpful and organised a lovely meal cooked by his mother on our first night and a private tour of part of the island. I would highly recommend these villas.

Lovely location amazing holiday home

The owner was incredibly helpful before our arrival and during our stay. Also, we had amazing meals cooked by the owner’s mum. We felt very looked after. The house and pool were perfect for our family and it was so convenient being in the centre of the village. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful dream villa & village experience

Our group loved the Atsipopoulo villas. It was even lovelier than the photos. George and his mother Mary were superb and kind hosts. We were so comfortable and the villa was very clean. He provided us exceptional packets of Crete recommendations which really helped us have a superb Crete experience. The village has cute restaurants and groceries all within a short walk. We felt immersed in the local culture while still having privacy at the villa. We all missed the villa the minute we left and hope to return someday. Thank you for helping us have such a fabulous vacation!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Everything was just as it was pictured. All rooms were very comfortable, and facilities and amenities were very good. Family trip to Crete

Our family of 6 ( 3 generations ages 21-84) had a fantastic 6 nights at the villa. On our first morning we enjoyed their delicious breakfast feast. Each morning we enjoyed our breakfasts on the shaded patio-such a relaxing outdoor space. We found everything we needed in the well appointed kitchen. One afternoon we were surprised with a delicious cheese pie from Mary. George was always available via text if we had questions. The Villa is beautiful! We enjoyed the pool very much as well as the very comfortable deck loungers. George helped us prearrange a minivan rental from the Heraklion Airport that went smoothly. It was a special experience to stay in the village. We enjoyed wonderful dinners close to the villa. We are seasoned travelers and have stayed at many VRBO properties. This was one of our favorites.

Super Villa

A super Villa located in the heart of a small village. The accommodation was clean, very spacious and ideal for our family and small children . The pool was nice and the two terraces ideal for soaking up the sun. The local shops, supermarket , restaurants and cafes were very close by and we enjoyed our trip to the bakery each morning for the fresh pastries and bread. Our hosts were super giving us all the local information and recommendations. Overall, a great week and would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic villa for a large family group

The property was prepared immaculately, and was in excellent condition. We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. The hosts were very welcoming, and were a great help in providing a wonderful breakfast for our first morning to take away the stress of having to sort out food as soon as we arrived. The location is ideal for exploring the island, and Rethymno, Heraklion and Chania are an easy drive away.

Heaven in Crete!

A few things to know about me. I stay in VRBO's 3 months a year. I rarely write reviews. I am very particular. This villa is so extraordinary I had to write about it. It is impeccably clean, it is well appointed with all you could need from the kitchen to the living areas. The patios and pool are spectacular. The location is perfect to see many areas of Crete easily. (I would recommend renting a car, the driving is very easy) One of the most amazing things are the hosts of this Villa. George, his mother Maria and George's sister, are kind, gracious, accommodating and at the same time give you plenty of space and privacy. I stayed for a month and had friends and family come and go during that time. In between our guests stays, the place was cleaned from top to bottom, sheets and towels changed. Maria made dinner for our groups 3 times and they were delicious and traditional greek fare. This is not a part time job for them, this is their job and no request was to big or small. From arranging transportation, to renting cars, making reservations, giving amazing recommendations to places away from the tourist traps. I fell in love with Crete as well as this remarkable family. I could go on and on, but I will end with saying if you are planning a trip to Crete, there is no better place then this villa and being cared for by this family.

A Beautiful Villa in a Great Location with Superb Hosts

We are two families with grown up children; we have been away together several times in recent years and we all agreed this was the best villa yet. Everything was excellent! George, our host, was welcoming and very helpful; including organising airport transfers for us at competetive prices. George had put together a useful pack about local places to visit and associated offers. He sent copies of all information via email before we arrived but also had printed versions at the villa. His communication was excellent, he was prompt to reply to queries via text. He was also very helpful with emergency medical information when one of us had a minor accident. There were a range of services available from breakfast deliveries every day to home-made traditional Greek food being brought to us upon request. George's mother's cooking was superb and we really enjoyed the Giouvetsi and dessert. Twice a week the villa was cleaned, bed linen changed and fresh towels were delivered. The fixtures and fittings were good quality and all the beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning throughout was excellent too. The villa is in a village which has several tavernas, bakeries, pharmacies and takeaways. It was 50m from a small supermarket and 2km from a large one. We didn't hire cars so relied on the local bus services to visit the nearby town of Rethymno and to go futher afield to visit beaches and the city of Chania. We had a wonderful holiday; we hope to return again before too long.

Amazing Villa

The property is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. George was an amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. George also gave recommendations of places to eat locally and beaches, all were superb. Would highly recommend this villa and will definitely be returning.

Wonderful stay in a fantastic property

The property is exactly like the photographs and is very beautiful having been recently renovated to a very high standard. Very well equipped with quality linens. A wonderful addition was the midweek clean and linen change which is different to most self catering holidays I’ve booked before. The village for our family of grandparents, parents, and a six year old was perfect - a short 5 minute walk to 4 restaurants, a bar, a gyro place eat in or take away and countless bakeries. Only a short drive to all the action In Rethmynon and another small village 5 minutes away with yet more restaurants. The thing that makes this villa extra special is George and his family - communication was excellent we were welcomed personally with Raki and homemade cheese pie. We had a homemade desert and leaving gifts. Would not hesitate to recommend this villa to all. Thank you George and hope to see you again.

Beautiful. Every aspect of house was perfection. Wonderful family business. Perfect village location with bakery, supermarkets and amazing restaurants. Follow George’s tips! Brilliant location to explore amazing places like Knossos, Balos Lagoon (we walked 8km each way), Margherite, Cave of Zeus. Highly recommended!
