We spent a wonderful week with family and friends at the Velvet Breeze Superior Villa just outside Rethymno. There were 4 adults and 4 children (ages 11–14), and the house was absolutely perfect for us — even better than the pictures! The view is magical, the interior beautifully designed, and the garden simply lovely.Check-in was smooth and easy, and we were warmly welcomed with a delicious moussaka upon arrival – such a thoughtful touch! The pool area was fantastic, and communication with the owners was always quick and helpful.We would love to come back and can highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious stay on Crete.Thank you Thomas and Kiki!Karin, Sweden

Wir waren mit 6 Personen ( 4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) für 10 Tage in der wunderschönen Villa von Kiki & Thomas. Der Kontakt mit den Gastgebern war sowohl vor der Reise als auch dann vor Ort super nett, zum Ende fast schon freundschaftlich ! Auftretende Problem(chen) wurden umgehend und unkompliziert gelöst.Die Villa war bei Ankunft frisch geputzt und wurde nach 7 Tagen noch einmal komplett gereinigt. Der Pool ist auch für mehrere Personen ausreichend groß und so angelegt, dass kein Nachbar ihn einsehen kann. Für kleinere Kinder stehen auf dem Grundstück auch noch verschiedene Spielgeräte zur Verfügung! Etwa 1 km von der Villa entfernt liegt der kleine Ort Stavromenos, wo verschiedene Supermärkte, Cafes, Restaurants und auch eine Tankstelle angesiedelt sind. Zum nächstgrößeren Ort Rethymno sind es ca 10 Minuten Autofahrt ( auch Busverbindung ist vorhanden). Wir hatten wunderschöne 10 Tage in dieser traumhaften Villa bei fantastischen Gastgebern ! Velvet Breeze is a superb villa with a beautiful pool set in lovely gardens and the sea view is amazing. The villa is in a great location and is fabulous with everything you could wish for, the pool table was a particular winner with the adults! Kiki and Thomas are amazing hosts, very responsive to any queries and were very welcoming and the Moussaka Kiki made for us on our arrival was delicious and very welcome after a long day of travel. This is the best villa we have ever stayed in and would not hesitate to return or recommend to anyone staying in Crete.

We visited the villa from Canada, as an extended family of 8 for 12 days in Sept. The hosts were fantastic; kind and responsive. I dant say enough about their level if hospitality andtheir desire to be sure their guests have a memorable experience. The villa itself was as advertised and a perfect environment for all if us. The kids (3 & 5) adored the pool, and were just as happy staying "home" as they were enjoying the sights. The location was central to everywhere. Thanks again for making our vacation as memorable as we hoped!.

Fabulous villa for a multi generation family holiday, plenty of space and great variety of places within the villa to play, sit, eat and chill. There is also a great resultant called Eleven not far away and the beach club within a short drive. Kiki, our host, is lovely and could not do more to help and want you to enjoy our stay.We would definitely recommend this villa

The villla is absolutely fantastic such an amazing place! From the moment we booked right through to departure Kiki and Thomas were so attentive, responding quickly to enquiries and were so friendly and welcoming, the moussaka on the first night was a very welcome, delicious treat. The villa itself is in a nice quiet location, overlooking the sea and the best sunset views. It was a little out the village so recommend having a car to get around and get to restaurants, beaches and to reythmnon. The villa is beautifully decorated and really well kitted out and had everything we needed, loved the pool and outdoor kitchen for bbq in the evenings. Would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return one day!

We have just returned from an absolutely amazing stay at Velvet Breeze, we had 2 families sharing (4 adults and 3 kids) - Kiki the host could not do more for us, she was amazing and the communication was excellent. The villa itself is outstanding and very well equipped. The location is perfect and the sunsets from the balcony are breath taking !! - we will definitely be coming back.

A True Oasis

Villa Velvet Breeze is the most amazing property inside and out. Kiki and Thomas have thought of everything and more. The garden and pool area is a relaxing private haven which makes you want to stay instead of exploring the area. We did however visit a number of truly amazing restaurants recommended by Kiki . We also visited the old town of Rethymon and it’s harbour which was amazing with its cobbled streets and lovely shops. Kiki’s Moussska is delicious and her infectious friendly welcoming personality adds to a truly memorable holiday. The property was exceptionally clean and well cared for. We would love to visit Villa Breeze again and Thank you both Kiki and Thomas for the lovely gift on our final day! We hope they will flourish In our care and will be a reminder of our Oasis and Haven in Crete, Villa Velvet Breeze

Fantastic family break at Velvet Breeze

We stayed as a family of eight, aged 7-70, for a week at Velvet Breeze and would thoroughly recommend it. The villa and gardens are exactly as they appear in the photos - spacious, clean and well designed. The front balcony looks out over the sea which makes for great views of the sunset. The hosts are friendly, responsive and thoughtful in making sure their guests have an enjoyable holiday - our flight was delayed by several hours so we didn’t arrive until 1.30am but Kiki was waiting to welcome us at the villa and give a tour of all the facilities (with homemade food in the oven!). In short - great place and great people - very much recommended.

Our stay in Velvet Breeze paradise

We stayed 2 weeks in april/may at the Velvet Breeze villa. What an incredible location owned by the very sweet owners Kiki and Thomas.At our late arrival we were surprised with a very delicious Mousaka and it tasted fantastic.The villa is extremely complete and many places to sit down together or apart. The see view in the front is incredible with a great terrace and at the back side we had our early morning breakfasts overlooking the beautiful garden including the heated pool.The villa has so many places to sit down that it is ideal for families but also if you go with several parties and want to enjoy some privacy.Kiki and Thomas were very kind and helpfull during our stay. And we needed them because our granddaughter got ear problems. Kiki helped us with the adress of a very capable and child friendly doctor. We even could stay a few these longer in teh villa than originally planned because of her ear problems.As a resume: we really can recommend Velvet Breeze villa, it is like staying in paradise.

We had a lovely time velvet breeze villa. The house is up to a high specification. The highlight was the lovely pool which we enjoyed well into the night. The location was good for going in either direction to Heraklion or Chania.

Lovely villa

This is a beautiful villa with extremely nice hosts who left a delicious Moussaka on the first evening. Its perfect for two families , there is plenty of space both inside and outside with the grounds being particularly nice. The pool is great , we had it heated as it was at the end of the season. You probably need a car as its little remote but there are mini markets nearby. We used both the pizza oven and bbq which were really nice evenings. I would highly recommend this villa We used

Amazing villa centrally located between Heraklion and Chania, as well as near highways.

The villa location is right in the middle of Crete, about equidistant to Chania and Heraklion, as well as near the major highway that connects north to south - making it ideal for travelling around. The villa was an amazing place to stay, spacious, modern and full of amenities. Steam shower - Gym, Heat Pool - Pool Table - Ping Pong table - Outdoor cooking (We hired private chef for a few nights) just to name a few. The hosts met us upon arrival and provided a great tour and details needed for the stay and were very gracious. They were very helpful with information about the island and recommended places, restaurants and things to do. Would highly recommend the villa!

Velvet Breeze

This villa is absolutely stunning, from the moment we walked through the gates we were blown away! Kiki and Thomas were there to greet us and show us around, Kiki had made one of her famous "made with love" moussaka's and it didn't disappoint! The villa was absolutely spotless, we found no faults, from the spectacular sunrise at the back of the villa to the stunning sunset at the front of the villa! Everything we needed for our stay was ready and available. The grounds of the property are just as stunning as the property it's self with several seating areas around the stunning pool. We also made great use of the Poole table inside and the ping pong table outside ! There was lots of information available within the villa for days out etc, and Kiki was available if we needed anything ! There is a bus stop located near by ,taxi service available and a few local shops,cafe and restaurants available near by. We would absolutely love to return one day to this villa.It was beyond our expectations. We shall keep Kiki and Thomas updated with our souvenirs yearly !!! Thank you for hosting us !!!

Beautiful Villa and fantastic hosts

We were two families with 5 kids (age 6 - 13) and the villa was perfect. Spotlessly clean, spacious, very tastefully decorated with everything we needed for a weeks stay. The outside area is beautiful and the sunsets from the balcony are stunning. KiKi our host could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Would 100% recommend.

Absolute heaven on earth!

You see lovely pictures in brochures but often the reality disappoints, not this time, the communication before we went, the arrival greeting and overall villa were just fantastic. The villa is tucked away like a diamond in the rough but boy is it worth it - beautifully designed with the bedrooms on the lower ground making the most of the sea views from the terrace above where you can watch the sunsets while sipping G&T or wine. The weather was also perfect with long sunny days and calm balmy evenings - the air conditioning made sleeping comfortable and everything was just so lovely - we cannot thank Thomas and Kiki enough for their attention to detail. Thomas' design and planting of the garden made for an oasis. The welcoming Moussaka was a treat and delicious. Being away from the crowded tourist spots, we found the neighbours welcoming as they waved hello from their terraces as we walked by. The local supermarket and beach restaurant staff were also friendly and the latter found it funny to watch us brits take shots of complimentary tequila when we ate there. If I had to make any recommendation to fellow travellers, I would say hire a car as the villa, although only 20 mins walk from local restaurant and small supermarket, it is quite a way when it is 30 degrees, few pavements and carrying bottles of water back. We managed to hire one for three days while there meant we could travel further and enjoy the local caves and towns. Highly recommend this villa.

Beautiful villa & location, amazing hosts!

We have just had an lovely week in this amazing villa. It was so much bigger than it looked in photos meaning we had plenty of space as 8 adults and 2 children. Kiki and Thomas kindly organised an extra mattress for us too. The sunsets from the terrace are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen every single night. Our flight was delayed and diverted on our way out so we arrived very late. Kiki kept in contact and made sure we arrived OK. She also left her delicious homemade mousakka in the oven for us :) There are some great restaurants withing a few mins drive and we visited the old town Rhythmno a couple of times for dinner too (15/20mins by car). Bali beach is a must visit. Thank you to Kiki and Thomas for all your help and allowing us to stay in your beautiful villa!

Fantastic holiday - highly recommend !

Our stay was fantastic. Kiki & Thomas are carying, helpful and really lovely. The house and the garden are an absolut dream. The pictures don't show the small pool. so it was a nice surprise for the little one (4yrs.) We had everything we needed and enjoyed our evenings watching the sunset (you have a stunning view) and playing billiard. Thank you Kiki & Thomas for everything 🌞❤
