Schönes Haus mit super Aussicht!

Die Villa ist sehr schön, gut gepflegt, sehr sauber, mit toller Aussicht von diversen Balkonen, mit super Blick auf das Meer auf rund 160m Höhe, inmitten von Oliven-Hainen, zwischen denen auch ab und zu mal Schafe und Ziegen zu sehen und zu hören sind. Der Internetanschluss ist stabil und reicht auch zum Streamen von Filmen aus. Vor Ort wurden wir sehr nett begrüßt und betreut. Großer Supermarkt (Lidl) und Strand sind in knapp 10 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Rethymno ist eine schöne Stadt mit vielen tollen Restaurants, ausgedehnten Stränden und auch ein sehr guter, zentraler Ausgangspunkt für weitere Erkundungen der Insel. Aus unserer Sicht eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!

Heerlijke woning met topuitzicht

Wij raden deze woning sterk aan. De voorzieningen zijn goed. Het zwembad met uitzicht over de kust en zee was voor ons het selling point, en stelde niet teleur. De eigenaar is prettig betrokken, o.a. wordt het zwembad dagelijks schoongemaakt. Dit voelde trouwens nooit als een inbreuk op onze privacy.

Wunderschöne ruhige Auszeit

Bereits die Kommunikation im Vorfeld verlief reibungslos und sehr freundlich. Der Besitzer Herr Nikos hatte aufgrund unserer späten Ankunft sogar das Nötigste für uns eingekauft und war auch an sich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Villa ist wie beschrieben und man hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Insel und das Meer. Durch die Lage auf dem Berg ist man natürlich etwas „abseits“ - was Vor-und Nachteile hat. Vorteil: absolute Ruhe und viel Privatsphäre. Nachteil: Man braucht definitiv jeden Tag das Auto und kann fußläufig nichts erreichen. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub.

Wonderful experience.

Great views from the house. Multiple balconies provided 360 views.. or to escape from the winds. The house has 2 bedrooms upstairs, along with a full batah and wassher.. (no dryer) - but had a drying rack if needed. Downstairs there is another bedroom, living room, and full kitchen. Everything worked well and the welcome gift upon arrive was a nice touch. Nikos was excellent and very attentive. He was able to provide everything needed. I'm glad we rented a car, and think it is necessary to have one to navigate the island. We were able to hit all the great spots, along with great restaurants. I think overall the people and culture of Crete were the best. We always had great service and company and met amazing people along our journeys. We also had time to relax and unwind at the house. We were so glad we booked this property away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.. as we truly were able to unplug when we wanted. I can't say enough about the views from the house... watching the boats, the sunrises, and everything it provided. Well done and would book this property again without hesitation!

Es war ein herrlicher Aufenthalt, wir haben alle das Haus, Umgebung, Menschen und das Grundstück mit der betreuung sehr gefallen und es gab nichts, was wir nur annähernd zu bemängeln hätten, ausser, dass wir hätten länger bleiben müssen. Lovely villa, incredible views, wonderful family holiday

We couldn't have been more pleased with the location of this villa. The views are outstanding, especially those of the sunset each evening (although one bedroom balcony has the best view of this), but also its altitude offers lovely gentle breezes which offset the heat beautifully. We thought it was just the right distance away from the nightlife when required (Rethymnon only 10 min's away by car, and parking is so cheap by the marina), and the beach is only a 5 minute drive away. You definitely need a car when staying at this villa as it is located half way up a mountain! The villa is spotlessly clean and well serviced by maids who clean and change linen every 3 days. The pool and gardens are well maintained by Mr Nikos who is friendly and accommodating, and also brought us a bottle of his home made wine! We drove to Chania, Kournos Lake and Bali and many other places and all absolutely fell in love with Crete, it is a wonderful island with sunsets to die for - why haven't we heard about this before?! We would all go back to this villa tomorrow if we could!

Fantastic villa in an idyllic setting

This villa really lives up to its description and more. From the moment we booked valia has been amazing keeping us informed and offering guidance of things to do when we arrived we were greeted by mr nikos a lovely man he made us feel very welcome The villa itself is wonderful has everything you could wish for, the location is perfect for feeling away from it all but still close enough for evenings out. Thavma up the hill is a must. Waking up to sound of the goats wandering past is something I will treasure a very relaxing sound. Don’t hesitate to book here you will not be disappointed.

Great Location, great host.

Had a lovely stay. The villa was very clean and had all the facilities that we needed. The host Mr Nikos was excellent and looked after us very well, he was around every day to ensure that the pool was clean and ready for use. I would recommend this villa to others and if ever back in Crete, would certainly be visiting again.

A Perfect Holiday

The views from the villa are even better than shown in the pictures - truly spectacular. The villa itself is well equipped, clean and spacious, with good air conditioning. Our teenage children appreciated the excellent wifi! Its location in the hills above Rethymno means that there is generally a pleasant breeze to reduce the heat. The pool is well kept and regularly cleaned. The garden is lovely with hibiscus, roses and other flowers, with olive trees outside. Although there are two villas on the site, they are around 100 metres apart and each totally private. Both the booking agent Valia and owner Nikos were very helpful and efficient. There is a LIDL supermarket ideally located 10 minutes drive away at the junction with the main road. Nearby Rethymno has excellent beaches and a beautiful old harbour and fortress. Other reviewers have commented on lack of kitchen equipment but we found everything we needed except a pizza cutting wheel; the local supermarket quickly resolved this and we are pleased to report that the villa now has one of these as well! We loved our time at this villa and hope to return.

Lovely villa in a secluded quiet spot

Villa was ideal for us. We all were in need of some quiet time and this did the trick. A car is essential as the villa is up a very twisty road. The villa could have done with more utensils - there wasn't even a jug. We had to go and buy everything for the excellent BBQ. The villa also had no information at all about the local restaurants/ bars/ sights etc - this would have really helped. We found the restaurants in Platanes to be generally disappointing so spent our evenings in Rethymno, a 10 minute drive away . Loved Chania, a well worth hour's drive. I'm not sure if we would return to this part of Crete as found the majority of beaches too stony and the sea too dangerous to swim in - again some advice on this would have been useful. Generally though, had a lovely break.

Beautiful location with fabulous veiws

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely Villa. The views are truly beautiful. The pool is fantastic and the villa is lovely, clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 weeks with 3 adults and 3 children (aged 13, 11 and 8), the children spent hours in the fabulous pool. If your looking for a private villa in the country with a short 10 minute drive from shops, tavernas and the beach then this is perfect. Valia and Mr Nikos were very helpful and accommodating, from us booking our holiday, to us heading home. Thank you both for a wonderful stay on your beautiful island.

Heaven on Earth- Simply the best holiday villa with superb views !

We have just returned from an idyllic, 2 week holiday, in this super villa and are missing it very much! The location is perfect as the villa stands into the gentle slopes of olive groves and from each of the balconies you can see the breathtaking view of the bay. There were many nights spent on the balcony enjoying a drink with a spectacular view of both Platanias and Rethymno. The villa is really well kept with the linen and towels being changed regularly and the rooms were spotless. Every bed was incredibly comfortable and the air conditioning was very efficient and quiet. The lay out of the villa would allow for larger groups to easily still have more than enough living space and it was well equipped. The pool is perfect and again was kept so clean. The owner, Mr Nikos is wonderful- there is nothing he was not willing to do to make our stay comfortable. He even purchased an inflatable for our son for our arrival. The pool is kept beautifully warm from the sun which was great as we had a few night swims as the pool is lit up. The loungers were so comfy we fell asleep on these many times. Great villa for adults and children alike. The location is perfect as everything is so easily accessed by car- many excellent restaurants and tavernas only being a 5-10 minute drive and cabs were easy to get too. The local beach is beautiful too and so much to see and do on the island. We will most definitely be returning and want to thank Mr Nikos for such a wonderful holiday. Valia was very efficient in all of her communications and answered all of my queries really promptly and clearly.
