Wonderful time with friends

Everyone had such an amazing time in Crete. The villa gave everyone everything they could want, lovely pool, games, evenings making pizzas and just overall an amazing villa with beautiful views. Such amazing communication from the villas team too as they were so helpful.Friends are already planning to stay again in the future.

great Villa for a family stay

so the Villa Location is fabulous but you do need a car.the views were spectacular as were the surroundings, internally we had everything we needed and more.the only negatives were that the Kitchen is a little too small for 14 people to move around in especially with a huge table taking up a lot of the area.the Kitchen is also in disrepair, it needs updating, some drawers and cupboards wouldn't shut or were damaged.the photos show a bathroom with a bath, this is not there anymore so the photos are false advertising (we like a bath as do the young children)also there was quite a bit of mould in some of the bathrooms, this could easily have been rectified with mould spray. a few of the bathrooms need replacing also as drawers don't shut and they look datedThe owner was lovely and bought us ice creams and Pizza which was a nice touch. we had a sandstorm which ruined the pool for 3 days, we had a refund for the heating, they were only 5 mins away so could have come and covered it over in plenty of time but didn't , this would have helped our last few days there be perfect.a trust issue was my main concern although no proof of anything just suspicions. I left my kindle behind, luckily i was going to a hotel for a few days before flying home.i asked several times if found it and the answer was always NO, after telling them where they could find it still NO, i told them as soon as i had wifi i would turn on the tracker and with a few mins they had found it... What a shock

Great location and facilities. Everything is there and available. Mr Kostas is a great host (bringing ice Crean’s fur the kids). Wonderful for families and especially kids. Can absolutely recommend.

Le paradis

Une villa magnifique sur un grand terrain arboré avec tennis, piscine, champs d'olivier avec des poules et une vue à couper le souffle. 7 chambres et sdb toutes climatisées. Salle de sport, billard américain, table de ping pong...bref il ne manquait rien. Les propriétaires étaient simplement adorables, prévenants et très disponibles (grecs en somme ;-) ). A notre arrivée ils nous avaient acheté de quoi nous nourrir la première journée : tomates, concombres Oignons, Feta, pain oeufs, beurre.... La villa est dans une zone un peu isolée mais à 10 mn en voiture de Réthymnon qui offre tout ce qu'on peut désirer. Les plages se trouvent plutot de l'autre côté, sur la route de Chania à 10 mn en voiture.

Beautiful home

The property was very nice overall. The air conditioning worked well and all the bedrooms were as advertised. The pool and hot tub were also quite nice. The air conditioning is connected to door sensors so you'll need to get used to keeping the doors closed or cracked. In addition, the doors can't be opened from the outside which was a bit unusual.

Our Family Holiday at The Villa Gerani Hill - Sivas in Rethymno, Crete

An absolutely amazing property which was of exceptional quality. Beautiful grounds and wonderful pool. It really did surpass all expectations. All of our needs and far more were catered for, we could not have asked for better service from all who were involved in looking after us. The owners were dedicated to making us feel welcome providing us with cakes and pizzas and pastries. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. Etouri were exceptional. I have never had the pleasure of dealing with so many people whose aim was complete customer satisfaction. Absolutely amazing! My husband and I wanted to give our family a summer holiday where we could all be together, enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and where we could feel at ease and have fun. Our stay at The Villa Gerani Hill - Sivas provided all of the above and far more. It certainly was the holiday of a lifetime. Thank you to everyone involved in making this so special. Julie H

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at the villa which was beautifully presented with excellent facilities. The owners were very generous and brought us fresh pastries and other foods on several occasions. The concierge service was excellent and did everything we requested of them very promptly. We enjoyed visits to Rethymno and had excellent meals there and at Starras in Gerani. Would definitely recommend this villa

Fantastic Villa for large family group

This villa certainly has the wow factor. With 3 master bedrooms and 4 further spacious double bedrooms this villa offered us the flexibility to work for 3 generations including 6 children aged 9 to 14. We paid for heating the pool, definitely well worth it. The children were in it at every possible opportunity. With a full kitchen, large barbecue area and a pizza oven we ate out less than half the time. The pool table and table tennis table were a definite hit with the adults, as was the sauna, but for 1, 14 year old bot, the gym was definitely the best. There was a play station, useful at times, and 2 chess sets, with the interesting characters making it even harder for us oldies. The owner and his wife were absolutely lovely and extremely welcoming and helpful. All in all a superb villa in a wonderful location with spectacular views, definitely worth every penny.

Fabulous Villa for all ages - Loved it!

This truly is a fabulous villa and we have no hesitation in recommending it. 5 star for all aspects. We stayed as 3 families of 6 older adults and 7 younger adults. The pool area, BBQ/pizza area, hot tub, pool table, table tennis, gym, tennis court and extensive grounds suited all ages. The beds were super comfortable and we all slept well. We loved collecting eggs daily from the free range chicken coop, picking hanging grapes and huge tomatoes but most of all the owners, Petros and his wife Miss Effie popped by throughout the week with lots of goody baskets of pastries, pizzas and wine making us feel so very welcome and looked after. The view is certainly breathtaking and whilst isolated enough to play music around the pool without disturbing anyone, not so isolated you couldn’t pop into the vibrant town with bustling shops and restaurants of Rethymno or central enough for many sightseeing trips over the island. We went to the local village restaurant for a Cretan meal and the whole atmosphere, food and must do back area was wonderful with Pertos having bought a round of drinks for us. The concierge service provided by Etouri who manage the property for the owners was truly outstanding; for their communication and responsiveness and what they provided. They arranged boat hire, booked restaurants and taxis often at late notice and much more. Having a direct phone in the villa to their office was amazing and enabled the older adults to go off in the cars for day trips leaving the youngsters in their capable hands to sort taxis etc for them. The whole week was stress free and a memory to treasure.

FANTASTIC HOUSE WITH WONDERFUL GENEROUS HOSTS

The huge house is set in lovely grounds with plenty of spaced seating areas and an amazing view. The bedrooms are all spacious and have comfortable beds. The kitchen equipment is pretty good but a little basic (no food processor or liquidiser for example). We recommend the additional cleaning. The family very much enjoyed the pool table and table tennis. However the promised tennis court turned out to be a paddle court with a concrete surface. We liked being able to collect eggs and tomatoes from the enclosure. There was an excellent package of food waiting for us on arrival. Just a couple of kilometres down the hill is a tiny beach with parking, shower and toilet. It has a little sandy area but is mostly cristal clear waters with good snorkelling.

Exceeded Expectations

We were welcomed to the property by Mr P and Effie. Everything was sparking and our welcome package excellent, not to mention the fresh eggs and veg each day collected from the property and surprise packages arriving with Mr P. We loved the villa and all the facilities were fantastic and our teenagers were never bored in fact did not want to leave. The view is breathtaking and all the shops and restaurants are within easy reach. We had the most amazing time and the weather also played its part, wall to wall blue skies for 7 days. Thank you all for a truly memorable week.

Drömboende på Kreta

Fantastisk villa, vacker, exklusiv och välutrustad. Stor pool, trädgård, uteplatser, grill…. Gästfrihet och generositet. Allt man kan tänka sig - och lite till. T ex en egen hönsgård och trädgård - färska grönsaker och ägg varje morgon. Svindlande vackert läge på en klippa ut mot havet. Vi var 15 i familjen i tre generationer, 2-72 år, - alla trivdes lika bra.

The villa is amazing, in an ideal location, it has all the facilities you need for all ages. We have stayed in many villas over the year but this was the best by far, but it has to be said that it was the people involved in the villa who made the difference, they were all universally friendly, helpful and kind.

Un très bon séjour à Gerani

Nous avons eu le bonheur d’etre dans cette maison en ayant eu le malheur d’avoir un temps maussade sur presque toute la semaine . L’emplacement est très favorable pour aller vers l’Ouest ( Chania , Kissamos .... ) ainsi que vers le sud , la proximité de Rethymno permet cela rapidement , nous avons pu chercher le soleil au sud ! La maison permet de vivre pour un large groupe sans se marcher dessus avec des activités sportives et ludiques pour ceux qui comme nous pratiquent .L’accueil était efficace ainsi que le support , avec des contacts réguliers et amicaux . Merci pour les gâteaux et autres aliments donnés ainsi que les œufs frais à aller chercher tous les matins ( +10 par jour ) , merci les poules ! Nous reviendrons en Crète !

Wunderschönes Anwesen mit sehr netten Vermietern

Dieses Anwesen ist einfach nur ein Traum. Wir waren mit 12 Personen dort und hatten dennoch genug Platz damit jeder sein Ding machen konnte. Neben einem 3m tiefen Pool, einem Whirlpool, Tischtennis, Billard und sogar einem Tennisplatz inklusive Schläger und Bällen waren die frischen Eier und das frische Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten das Highlight des Urlaubs. Pedro, der Vermieter kam sogar alle paar Tage mit lokalen Köstlichkeiten aus der Bäckerei oder einem kostenlosen Abendessen inklusive Raki. Wir haben uns pudelwohl gefüllt und sahen jeden Cent gut angelegt.

Such a superb villa and location we decided to get married there!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at villa Gerani. Despite arriving in the early hours of the morning we were greeted by Robert from Etouri and the owner Miss Effi. We were given all of the information we needed to settle in plus a days worth of shopping was waiting for us as requested. The villa is fabulous and is exactly as it appears in the pictures, in fact it is better! We were a group of 13 adults and one teenager and there was plenty of room for everyone and lots to do to keep everyone entertained from the pool table, the gym, sauna, table tennis, hot tub, tennis court, basketball hoop, swimming pool and the friendly chickens that provided us with fresh eggs every morning. The grounds of the villa are beautifully kept and were tended to every couple of days at the same time that the villa was thoroughly cleaned. We loved the villa and location so much that we changed our plans to get married at a local beach and held the ceremony at the villa instead. I would thoroughly recommend this property and the services of Etouri. There was always someone on hand to help us and having a phone in the villa with a direct line to the office made contacting them simple and efficient. I cannot speak too highly of our experience here. It was so good our whole party were talking of returning next year to celebrate our first wedding anniversary!
