This apartment was in a fabulous location just inside the Old Town area on a quiet street.The area is safe and has picturesque streets and water views. The apartment is well equipped with essentials, was very clean, and has multiple balconies and patios including a rooftop deck. The bed was quite comfortable. The two bedrooms were spacious.Parking was tricky as we could only find a spot in the Marina parking lot which is several blocks away. The steps up to the apartment and the upper level were tricky for us. We are in our late 60's and decided that getting two 50 pound suitcases up to the apartment was all that we could do. The living area became our dressing area. Our host was very responsive to our questions. We appreciate Katja opening her home to vacationing visitors.

Die Lage der Wohnung war für uns optimal. Restaurants, Geschäfte, Meer und Strand sind in fussläufiger Entfernung. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, bestens ausgestattet, die Betten sehr gut. Die Dachterrasse ist wunderbar, der Blick zum Hafen und über die Stadt hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Die Klimaanlage ist in heißen Nächten sehr angenehm. Und Katja, die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir können alles weiter empfehlen

Best place to stay in Rethymno!

We absolutely loved our stay in this charming three-level apartment! The location is incredibly walkable—just a short stroll to the beach, shops, and the main square where taxis are always available. It made exploring nearby restaurants and towns so convenient. The host is extremely responsive and so helpful. We had an incredible experience and hope to be back!

Great place in a European vibe Greek City

We thought the place was charming. The location is perfect. It's on the street right behind the main street so not as crowded and situated in the middle of other shops and apartments. Be prepared for stairs though. We actually kept our suitcases on the main floor vs the bedrooms. Also, the street is not driveable after 11am. Google maps put us on the street at 10:30 pm. Yikes. But it was all good. We got free parking at the Marina the whole time.

Great apartment in Rethymno Old Town

We had a lovely holiday staying here. Excellent location for Rethymno Old Town. Great outdoor spaces - balconies and sunny roof top. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Communications with Katja, the host, were friendly and efficient. We hired a car and parking at the port was straightforward - we were able to park in the free section most of the time. We’d love to return!

Host was great. Very quick to answer any questions. The location of the apartment is perfect. Walking distance to the beach and old town. Apartment was very clean and had all the amenities you will need for a vacation. The 2 balconies and roof top terrace were very fun to sit and watch the full lively streets in the evening.

Workation

Wir waren 4 Wochen in dem tollen Ferienhaus (2Wochen arbeiten- super W-LAN- 2 Wochen Urlaub). Das Haus war perfekt, die Lage super am Rand der Altstadt, Läden, Tavernen und ein kleiner Supermarkt in unmittelbarer Nähe, zum 16 km langen Sandstrand nur 5 Gehminuten. Die Gastgeberin war super freundlich, hat unsere Transfers zum Flughafen organisiert und uns viele Tipps für Unternehmungen gegeben. Bei unserer Ankunft warteten schon ein paar Kleinigkeiten, eine Flasche Wein und Obst im Kühlschrank! Die Wohnräume haben alle Klimaanlage, was manchmal bei zunehmenden Temperaturen im Juli sehr angenehm war. Und die Dachterrasse war an den lauen Sommerabenden ein Traum! Ein toller Aufenthalt, vielen Dank an Katja für dieses perfekte Arbeits-/Urlaubserlebnis!

Traumhafter Winterurlaub

Wir waren 6 Wochen von Mitte Januar bis Ende Februar in diesem wirklich schönen Stadthaus in Retymno. Alle Erwartungen , die wir in Kenntnis der detaillierten Objektbeschreibung hatten, wurden erfüllt, alle Räume sind gemütlich eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Besonderes Highlight ist die große Dachterrasse mit einer traumhaften Aussicht auf‘s Meer, den Ort und die schneebedeckten Berge im Hinterland. Die Wintersonne ist schon so warm, dass man sich tagsüber gut auf der Zwischenterrasse auf der Ebene der Schlafräume und der Dachterrasse aufhalten kann. Frau Haffenrichter stand bei Rückfragen jederzeit zur Verfügung und hatte viele Tipps für die Restauration, Exkursionen und Besichtigungen, die wir gern genutzt haben. Die ruhige Lage des Hauses empfanden wir als optimal für uns im Gebiet der schönen Altstadt, nahe am Meer und an allen Geschäften des täglichen Bedarfs. Wir als die wenigen Touristen im Ort wurden überall sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit empfangen und bedient. Mit all diesen positiven Eindrücken können wir jedem Interessierten einen Urlaub in diesem Ort und dem schönen Haus empfehlen, und dies auch einmal zur Winterzeit. Wir kommen gern wieder. Klasse Wohnung!

Wohnung war genauso wie in der Beschreibung, alles sehr gut. Tagsüber auf den Balkonen oder der Dachterrasse zu sitzen….einfach super! Und Abends empfiehlt sich ein Bummel durch die Altstadt oder der Strandpromenade entlang. Empfang durch die Eigentümerin sehr nett, alles problemlos, genauso wie die Übergabe am Ende des Urlaubs. Empfehlenswert!

Awesome location

This house was amazing. We totally loved everything about it. I would highly recommend it. The owner was sweet and kind, as were all the people in Greece. Everybody's honest and kind. We drove right to the door dropped off bags and then parked the car at the marina very close by. This is definitely the place to stay in Crete. We were in Athens, Leros, Santorini, and several small Islands including Patmos, but I think this one was top on the list. All of Greece is Very safe, no guns which coming from the USA was a pleasant experience no crime. Everything's within walking distance. Lots of shopping right outside your door one street over probably 50 wonderful places to pick to eat. We also had a fun Excursion with the jet skis only a couple blocks away. It was just fabulous thank you so much to our host.

Fabulous location

A beautiful house in a perfect location in the old town. Katrin was a brilliant host; excellent communication and top tips for places to eat and park our hire car. There was a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge too which we very much appreciated and enjoyed. The balcony off the sitting room is a great place to people watch in the evening and the roof terrace is fabulous to watch the sunset. The bed is super comfy and even though the property is in the old time it is very quiet at night. Thank you Katrin for making our stay perfect!

Delightful

This is a perfectly positioned house in Old Town Rethymno. An easy walk to the beach, shops and abundance of local restaurants. We didn't have a hire car - excursions can be booked from 'Evas tours' opposite if wanting to explore further afield and there is a taxi rank in the nearby square. The house itself was a delight and all the amenities were clean and in good condition. Katja, our host called to see us when we arrived to make sure we were happy with everything. We had a lovely holiday here and hope to return.

Two weeks in Rethymno

A very nice townhouse in the old town of Rethymno. A perfect location both for enjoying the town itself and sightseeing western and central Crete. Rethymno itself was a very pleasant surprise; beautiful architecture, great restaurants, and a lovely seafront.

Vielen Dank an Gastgeberin Katja für den freundlichen Empfang und die vielen wertvollen Tipps. Die Lage des Hauses in der Altstadt ist optimal: unzählige Tavernen und Geschäfte sind in unmittelbarer Nähe und der schöne Badestrand ist ebenfalls schnell zu Fuss erreichbar, so dass wir gut auf einen Mietwagen verzichten konnten. Wir genossen die umfangreiche und durchdachte Ausstattung des Hauses, die Sonnenbäder auf der Dachterrasse und die super bequemen Betten. Der Frühstückskaffee auf dem sonnigen Balkon mit Blick auf das Treiben im Altstadtgässchen vor dem Haus wurde uns zur lieben Gewohnheit, ebenso wie die kretischen Speisen und Weine in den Tavernen des Städtchens. Alles in Allem ein wunderbarer Start in die Vor-Sommer-Saison. Absolut empfehlenswert!
