This is a special place. Traditional villa but with mod cons like air conditioning in all the bedrooms. The pool and garden is amazing as are the views! We watched so many glorious sunsets!Alex was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. We shall be returning!

Belle maison avec vue et tranquillité .

Belle maison bien équipée avec une vue splendide. Très tranquille. Nous avons pu rayonner aux alentours et ainsi visiter la Crète. Hôte et agence de location très sympathiques. Un très agréable séjour.

Family Getaway

This location and house was the perfect getaway we were looking for. The pool needed a little work but overall it was the highlight of the trip. We were able to walk out and enjoy the sounds of Greece. It is only about 10 minutes from the little town that supplied plenty of local treasures, grocery store, beaches and most important amazing ice cream stand. Alex, the host was available at anytime. We are looking forward to coming back next year!

Jederzeit wieder!

Wir waren Ende Oktober zu viert mit einem dreijährigen Kind in Alexis Villa und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Anwesen ist fast noch schöner als auf den Fotos, sodass wir bei mehr Zeit gern auch mal einen kompletten Tag dort verbracht hätten. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur und dem Vermieter verlief reibungslos, selbst auf kurzfristige Wünsche wurde sehr freundlich eingegangen. Drei gepflegte, verschmuste Katzen haben uns regelmäßig Gesellschaft geleistet und besonders unseren kleinen Sohn sehr erfreut. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Great Family Break

We had a superb 3 generations family break - grandparents, son and wife plus grandson. We travelled in June as last chance for an early season break before grandson starts school. The property was exactly as described, expect the trees have grown a bit. It is up a hill set back from the coast and the views are spectacular. It is very peaceful, with only the odd car and the clanging of bells on nearby sheep and goats. It is easily accessible from the main Northern Axis road and Rethymno is in easy reach with Chania and Heraklion also straightforward to visit. The house is very comfortable, the pool is excellent and the facilities are good. There are a lot of out door lounging options. All in all we had a great time.

Little Gem

We could not of wished for a better villa to stay. It had everything that we needed and more, from plenty of room to magnificent views. The pool area was the ideal spot for relaxing in the sun and a quick dip to cool off. We loved having breakfast on the porch off the dining area. There are so many nice things we could say about this villa it truly is ideal for anyone that wants a relaxing time away. A special thank you to Alexandros for a few restaurant recommendations that were great and also Valia who kept in touch to ensure we were okay. Highly recommended.

Stunning villa, so peaceful

This is a wonderful villa, much larger and more spacious than the photos suggest. The main living area is large and open plan and beautifully, and tastefully decorated. The three bedrooms are also large and the kitchen very well appointed - although there was no washing machine that we found. maybe we missed it. The broadband is fast - fine for streaming and for video calls. The outside area is also spacious and the pool - although pretty cold in October - a lovely feature. We enjoyed the patio area in the sun and the view over the sea is glorious. Just some things to be aware of, the path to the villa is fairly long and unmade so if you have a small or low slung hire car you may find that it bottoms out occasionally. Take care and take your time. To be fair there are a few roads in Crete like this so we would probably get a larger car on our next visit anyway! Also the villa is a little remote - there are no facilities or shops within walking distance but there are shops, restaurants and takeaway establishments within a few minute's drive. All in all though we had a wonderful, relaxing week here and would recommend without hesitation. Thank you for such a fantastic break!

Perfect Villa and location

The villa is perfectly located and equipped for a family vacation in Rethymno area. Close to a lovely beach and facilities but private for peace and relaxation. Would come back again. Highly recommended.

Sehr schönes und vielfältiges Objekt in toller Hanglade mit besonderer Ausstattung in und toller Poo

Sehr schönes Objekt, leider war das ständige Kläffen der 3!! Köter ein Ärgernis , Tag und Nacht.!! Schlecht funktionierende Badtüren u Fenster, eine ständig quietschende Fliegengitter Tür waren das kleinere Übel, die Hauseigenen Katzen waren ziemlich aufdringlich

Wonderful property with fantastic views

This is a lovely property with amazing views across Episkopi beach. The property itself is large and well equipped, and both the owner and the rental company (ThinkVillas) were very accommodating to ensure that we had the best experience possible! We would definitely recommend to others.

Ein Platz zum Verweilen

Wir sind als Familie mit 7 Erwachsenen und 1 Kind angereist. Der Sonnenuntergang begrüßte den später angereisten Teil der Familie mit selbstgemachten griechischen Essen, was wir in der geräumigen, gut ausgerichteten Küche vorbereitet hatten. Auf der Terasse im Abendrot mit einem wunderbaren Blick auf das Meer und Gebirge machte das Urlaubsgefühl von der ersten Minute an perfekt. Ein eigenes Auto ist bei dieser Unterkunft günstig , um schnell an Wandergebiete und Naturschönheiten bzw Städte zu gelangen. Aber eigentlich ist dieser Platz schon so schön, dass man vor Ort bleiben möchte, toller Pool, viele Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten, Blumen, Zikaden und abends tolle Beleuchtung. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. So eine schöne stilechte Unterkunft mit so einem schönen Blick gibt es selten, Danke

Stunning views so close to the beach

This was a chilled family holiday and Villa Alexis was perfect . A well stocked supermarket in the village provided all we needed and with beach tavernas for lunch , ice creams and beach umbrellas we wanted for nothing. You will need a car as the location is remote but the stunning views more than make up for this. The villa is spotless with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and all mod cons - boys loved the jacuzzi bath!

Amazing Villa with stunning Views

We had a fantastic holiday at this amazing villla which is exceptionally clean. We were greeted by the owner Alexis on arrival which was quite late and he provided us with food from his own cupboards as there were no shops still open. We could not have found a better place to stay - we loved it😁

Unfortunately the Privacy Description is not fully true

Overall our two week stay at the Villa was enjoyable, however we did want to use this opportunity to share some of our experience and insight to this property. To begin with the positive: the view is great at all times of the day and even though it was often very windy, we really enjoyed the nice view spots around the house. The interior design and furniture of the house was in good shape, although with the many paintings, roughs, sculptures we found it a little heavily decorated. The house was clean when we arrived and Anna did a great job cleaning the house once during our stay. Also the garden was in good shape and the many different flowers were beautiful. The main aspect that we would like to critic and make others rightfully aware off, is that the property is unfortunately not as private as advertised and promised. The part of the villa that one rents for the given price is only the first floor, in the ground floor the owner lives. As privacy was one of the main things wer were looking for, this was quite disappointing to all of us! Additionally we even explicitly asked beforehand if it is quiet around the villa and again the promise here was not kept. The several dogs of the owner kept us awake for multiple nights of our stay and even after we asked to please keep them inside at night, it was still not really quiet. Furthermore there were several street cats who in their 'nearly-starved' state, made it impossible to leave any food outside or even just a door open for longer than a couple of seconds. Often we had to interrupt our meals and for us this was an unexpected source of stress to constantly having to defend any food. All in all, the stay was present, however we would only recommend renting the villa if you do not mind that the property is not as private and 'all to your self' as promised, instead you share it with the owner, several loud dogs and many cats.

Thank you very much for a lovely stay at Alexis Villa, we had a wonderful time.

The views were amazing and the house was beautiful, had everything we needed and was clean. Our only two problems were the beds were extremely hard and meant that we didn’t get a good night sleep in the whole time we were there. Which was a shame on holiday when you want to relax. And the cats that obviously live outside the house were extremely annoying, we spent most of the holiday shooing them away from us. We couldn’t leave any food outside unattended as they would be straight in to steal it. It was quite a problem when trying to do a bbq outside by the pool. Other than that we had a lovely time and spent most of the time in the pool and at the local beach. The local area is lovely and there is lots of Tavernas within a short drive.

We all loved the property it was far better than in the pictures.very big and beautiful surroundings. Beach wasnt far but only went one day as the pool was perfect too.alex the owner is very friendly and a perfect host.

Beautiful stone villa with fantastic views of sea and mountains.

Fantastic villa in the hills above the beach. If you like sitting watching the sun set over the mountains then this place is perfect - just like the photos. Owner and agent were friendly and helpful. Only niggle was construction work down the hill about half a mile away - I suspect though that we were unlucky to coincide with early drilling and the wind from the north - I doubt this would be a problem next week. We had an excellent holiday. Thanks.
