Wir waren mit 10 Personen (3 Familien) dort. Die Aufteilung war super! Alles war sauber, der Pool war sagenhaft und die Outdoorküche am Pool wurde zu unserem Wohnzimmer.Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Family vacation

A beautiful spot about 20 minutes from Rhetymno centre. The best part about the house is the pool area with the barbeque/outdoor kitchen. We loved making dinners there! The bedrooms are smaller than expected, and the bathroom in the main floor is extremely small! The shower barely fits a tiny person. The house consists of two units, one apartment and a small house, this wasn't really apparent in the ad. When ten people travel together we kind of need ten plates, knives, forks etc. in one place. But we made it work by moving things around. The kitchen had just a small benchtop dishwasher, and again, for ten people that is too small. Also, some kitchen utencils such as a pair of scissors could be added. It's a little confusing after arrival who is our contactperson, is it Vrbo or the lady who welcomes us? This could be made clearer at arrival. Example that Vrbo said ok to check out at 11 am, but the lady wanted it to be 10 am. However, the biggest issue I have is the neighbours. The family living there have two dogs who bark all day and all night, most likely due to bad animal care. This is not ok! The poor dogs are put in a small outdoor area, with little water and in the heat that is not aceptable. Please talk to them asap!

Service au top

Très belle villa en adéquation avec l’annonce. Très bon service durant le séjour, draps, serviettes changées régulièrement. Ménage fait régulièrement. Quelques petits soucis technique durant nos 15j mais le service pour y remédier a été très rapide, au top👍👍 Cependant quelques petits détails ne sont pas top : l’entrée de la villa donne sur une casse de voitures, la table de ping-pong est en très mauvais état et les chiens du voisin aboient beaucoup. En tous cas une villa à conseiller.

Amazing Villa , great Service, very clean and an stunning view

It was absolutely the right choice for us. We spent 2 weeks in Greece and stayed in this villa with 6 adults and 4 kids (3*20month /1*4.5y). Our first big family vacation. The communication in advance was excellent w/ Valia and with the recommended Car Rental Company „Best Cars“. During our stay Valia answered all our wishes very fast. The villa is in a very good condition and is separated in 2 areas. Our 3 triplets slept in 3 cots in the living room (groundfloor). The groundfloor with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms was perfect for us with 6 persons for the nights. Our grandparents have been in 1st and 2nd floor with 2 great balconies with a stunning view to the ocean and the others with a nice church and the impressive mountains in the back. On the 1st floor there is a kitchen as well with everything you need. The playground in the garden with all the games were perfect for our kids and with enough space to make the kids happy. They all loved it so much. The gardener game once a week. The pool with its separated non swimmers area was perfect and the pool is very clean and was perfect for our 4,5 years old boy. The whirlpool was amazing and the water features the dot on the „i“. The cleaning service is better than in some hotels. (5 times/ 14days) also the windows have been cleaned up) 5 stars+! The sheeps close to the house the cats walking through the garden have been welcome by our kids! The dinner with „private Chef“ was outstanding and we recommend to book it during your stay! It’s only 5 minutes by car to the beach in skaleta. And to the supermarkets. But you need a car cause it is very mountainous. The small village Adele is perfect for shopping.The city Rethymno is only 12 km away a very nice city you must visit with nice bars directly in the old city. We liked it more than Chania. To sum up, there is nothing we really have to criticize the only thing which could be improved is a shade sail on the outside terrace or 1-2 more umbrellas. 5 Stars and a extra star for the overall service. We highly recommend this villa! Next Crete Villa if possible will be booked via „think villa“ !!!

Willkommens - Kultur pur

Für Familien sehr geeignete Villa die durch die Außenanlage besticht. Der Pool ist ausreichend groß für eine schöne Abkühlung. Auto ist notwendig und von Vorteil. 5 Sterne mit Auszeichnung für Valia, Cretan Taxi Service, Kostas der private Koch, die Hausbesitzer und die Reinigungskraft. Alles profesionell und unglaublich freundlich! Gerne wieder!

Relaxing at Aestad Residence.

The residence has lot of space and a very nice swimmingpool. The outdoorkitchen and bbq ate very usefull and convenient. A nice playground for the children. We had a great time, being there. Rethymnon is nearby and a very nice place to be. We hired a cook. He was excellent, a highlight evenso our visit to restaurant Poliouhouse.

Amazing Villa and holiday.

The villa was everything we wanted. The pool area was fabulous with lots of space for all of us to relax. We used the outdoor eating area every day where the outdoor fridge was put to good use. The owner was extremely helpful and provided us with everything we needed. Valia was very helpful whenever we needed help getting us taxi’s.

Wirklich schöner Urlaub gerade außerhalb der Saison

Wir waren dort mit 6 Erwachsenen und einem Kind eine Woche im Oktober. Wir hatten immer noch Sonne und 24/25 Grad. Perfekt für uns. Die Villa war sehr sauber und super praktisch in 2 Wohnungen geteilt. So konnte die kleine in Ruhe schlafen und wurde nicht gestört. Jeden Morgen haben wir zusammen draußen gefrühstückt und abends am Grill gegrillt und lange Spieleabende standen auf der Agenda. Der Pool war super zur Abkühlung. Die Wiese weitläufig und gepflegt. Man konnte sich wirklich wohlfühlen. Der Kontakt zu Valia war perfekt. Immer super schnell und in allem sehr entgegenkommend. Auch was das Kinderbett, Hochstuhl oder den Buggy betrifft. Wir mussten nichts mitnehmen. Alle waren sehr freundlich und besonders kinderfreundlich. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen...

Fantastic week in idyllic location

We were a large party of 6 adults and 4 children. The Aestas Villa was perfect for us with its self-contained lower part and its larger upper part. The children had a wonderful time in the three pools and using all the games in the garden. If I had to criticise something it would be the excitable dogs barking next door, but this is very minor. Overall it is a lovely place and great location close to the national road and many beaches and tourist spots.

Perfect place for a great family holiday

The villa is lovely located on a hilltop. Stunning view of a valley and the snowed covered peak of Mount Ida (Psiloritis). We loved the outside terrace with BBQ, the large swimming pool, all the extra outside things like table tennis, hammock, jaccuzi. The villa is very luxurious. Beds and showers are good. We had a great time here with our "family". All three kids, aged 17, 15 and 10 liked it a lot. Crete itself is beautiful and the Cretan people very friendly and helpfull. Our local host Valia gave us a lot of information about Crete and whenever we had questions or remarks she always answered them very quickly. She did an excellent job. The cleaning of the villa was also very good, in the two weeks that we were there everything we expected and much more was done by the cleaning lady. We had a great holiday and can recommend this villa. It's excellent!

Prachtig huis

Wij waren heel erg blij met het huis, de balkons met het mooie uitzicht en de fantastische tuin met zwembad barbeque en open haard. We hebben er enorm van genoten. Ook de service was heel goed en op een hele prettige manier. De bedden lagen heerlijk. Het huis was perfect schoon! Een aanrader!

Exceptional villa for families with children, in particular two family groups.

We have just returned from a really memorable week at this villa. Our two and four year old boys were completely obsessed by the THREE swimming pools, expansive lawn and fruit trees dripping with lemons and oranges. The self contained two bed apartment downstairs was great for our friends with their (just) one year old. We were shown great hospitality from the owner, with special dessert treats being dropped off on our last night in Crete. A very kind gesture. We also took up Think Villa's offer of a private chef (Costas, formerly at London's Oriental Mandarin hotel) who cooked a delicious, authentic Cretan meal for us at home. We dined in the beautiful outdoor entertaining area, while our children slept inside. Bliss. A 5-star stay in a great spot. Thank you Valia!

Lovely well equipped villa

My family group of 10 really enjoyed our holiday at the villa. We were met at the villa and all of our questions answered. It was extremely well equipped with everything we needed and also had a welcome basket of some food items to get us going when we arrived which was lovely. There are five bedrooms in total, the two in the basement level are actually a self contained flat which I didn't realise upon booking and whilst this would work well for other families, it didn't suit ours particularly as we wanted to stay together and this had a separate entrance with it's own kitchen and bathroom. It was nice and clean though. There were two bedrooms on the top floor and another on the middle floor with a bathroom on each floor which was handy. The top part of the villa also had it's own kitchen and living room with spacious balconies all around the villa. There were some lovely touches provided such as toiletries in the bathrooms, washing powder and fabric conditioner with the washing machine and even little children's biscuits put with the travel cots. Basic cooking items like salt, pepper, oil etc were provided too which was great. Outside there is big garden area with the pool, baby pool and Jacuzzi which was very popular. There is also a BBQ, fireplace and outdoor seating under a covered area for some shade. Once again, plenty of toys were provided in the garden to entertain the children and additional plates, cups and crockery near the BBQ. Everything had been thought of! The location was perhaps the only thing that let it down as I understood that shops, beaches and tavernas would be in walking distance and this wasn't the case. Luckily we had hire cars but ended up having to drive them everywhere which was a shame. The standard of cleaning was fabulous, very thorough. All in all, a great villa and great booking service but you'll need a car!

Very nice stay

Outside it's like on the pictures, very well and nice garden, swimming pool and kitchen. Valia was very helpful for all requests and to fix some issues. Housekeeping every 3 days is a very hot points ! we appreciated it. The mattresses are not very confortables, especially if you spend more than 1 week there.
