"what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."

"More than most properties - Gille’s sprawling 16th, 17th and other centuries place will mould to your wishes. No heated pool for us and the games room remained quiet. But a wonderful maze with parking for only the Le Mans champs ( like myself). Everything is close and walkable."

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"The property is located in rural setting, lots of farming around the area. The location suited ourselves as we found it didn't prevent us from exploring nearby attractions. "The accommodation was fine in most ways.It is too far from city center and though there are wineries nearby there is nothing else. The wifi was old fashioned and only allowed one device at a time."

"This house has an excellent location in Montsoreau and has very nice views of the Loire river from the upper floors. It's perfect for exploring the area West of Tours around Saumur and is easily accessible to Angers as well as chateaus such as Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau. "What a situation and what a great conversion to a holiday let. We were greeted by the host, who had already lit the wood burner, this was most welcome as the weather was cold also left us a bottle of fizz. We did find the stairs a little daunting but this was down to the fact we were all in our late 70's early 80's. The main bedroom is vast, triple aspect with great views across the river which is also a bird watchers delight. A great property in an amazing location."

"The tramway providing easy transportation to the city was an unexpected benefit to our stay. The hotel was a little hard to find from the direction from which we were coming, due to lack of signage. We made a suggestion to the receptionist to add a sign on that side of the entrance way. The receptionist made a note of it and promised to forward it to management."
