"We had a lovely overnight stay. The staff were very welcoming and informative. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds, our wee one especially loved the bunk bed. We booked in for dinner which was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. The area is beautiful, we will definitely be back! "

"Nice and comfortable close to castle. Room at top of 2 flights of stairs so need to be fit."

"Quaint old world style Food was excellent and room was very clean Staff were very friendly The one downside was that there was no parking but that was the same for all hotels in that area I could have spent all day looking at the shipping artefacts in this inn Would definitely return for another stay "

"Room was lovely and cosy, clean and did the job for our two day stay. TV was a bit hit or miss. Only one small mirror in bathroom but no electric socket near the bathroom for drying or straighening hair, mirror in actual bedroom would have been very beneficial."

"We had an excellent stay in Castle Gate Guest House for a friend's wedding. The hosts were very accommodating. Check in was so easy and the room was fantastic. Highly recommend for a trip to Alnwick."

"Our second stay with Ruth and Ian, a lovely friendly couple who go all out to provide a comfortable visit. Great breakfast choice, cosy beds, light airy rooms with windows that open !! ( rare in some places ) fresh milk and plenty refreshments. If ever in the area again we would definitely stay with them."

"We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night trip over the bank holiday weekend. This was a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated throughout, VERY comfortable beds, very clean. Its in a peaceful location (2 minutes from the Chillingham cattle visitor centre). Our host Mhairi couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming during our stay. She is also very knowledgeable about the local area having lived there for 20+ years. Shes more than happy to offer some great suggestions. The breakfast that she...
