The hills are alive 🐶☀️🇮🇸 Me and Kaffon went for a 5 day campingtrip to Hornstrandir with friends 😊 Those 5 days were so amazing!!! The Icelandic nature is totally awesome and Hornstrandir are paradise on earth 😍🇮🇸 This photo is taken at in Hornvík how is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. It is surrounded by two of the three largest bird cliffs in Europe, has a mystic remoteness and magnificent cliffs. When millions of birds shout as loud as they can, one forgets the noise of the traffic and normal life. It is as far away as it can be and the term silence gets a new meaning. The cliffs reaches vertically an altitude of 4-500 meters 😊 More about Hornstrandir 😊 The most isolated place in Iceland, you have to travel there with boats and there is no electricity, no telephone or Internet connection there, only nature, foxes and the birds 😄 Tourists must bring along tents, if staying over night. It is necessary to bring warm and waterproof clothing even if you are just going to stay for few hours or for a few days. Snow can be expected at any time of the year and storms can break with little warning. Thick fog often occurs in the region. Being able to use a compass can come in handy and it is good to have GPS with you . All food must be brought along, and visitors should be prepared for delays. Boats are not always available to collect people at scheduled times. There are radios in emergency huts. A trip to Hornstrandir must be well organised !! — at Hornvík
