"We had a perfectly fine stay here and the staff were very accommodating - not sure why others have rated this place as unsafe. We needed to check in late after the front desk closed at 8 pm, but called ahead and the staff had no issues keeping it open for us. Rooms were clean and we enjoyed the art on the walls that gave a sense of the region's history. We also highly recommend getting breakfast at the Chocolate Moose just down the street - great coffee, sandwiches, and atmosphere!"

"The cabin was clean and exactly how described. It had everything you needed, full kitchen, grill. The hot tub was a plus! We had a wonderful time, the property was peaceful. We wish we had more time to spend there. Located conveniently near new river gorge national park, we didn’t have to drive far for outdoor activities. The host was very responsive. We hope to come back next year! "

"The Stokes Stay is very convenient to NRG and we were able to get to all of the attractions we wished to see with ease. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a few strenuous hikes. The house was very clean and well cared for. We’d definitely consider staying there again for a return trip."
