"We had a wonderful stay at the Kandy House. Its location outside the central area allowed us to have a tranquil and restful break from the hustle of the city. Yet, we were still within about a 10 minute drive of the Kandy Lake area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly roomy. "The house manager changes almost everyday and so is the service level. We stayed for 3 nights and the first senior manager was excellent to accommodate our needs, including the thermometer that I needed to check my fever. The second manager had difficulty to understand English first of all. We were shown first to the room on the 1st floor. There was construction going on in the backyard which was noisy. So, we asked to change the room after half an hour. The new room on the 2nd floor was good...

"Property is not found at 53 Riverside Road, Matale. Given phone is switched off but he answered on the previous day and asked us to come. According to him weather was ok but weather was terreble and came back home because no place to stay at the night. I had to block my card as well. The worst experience I have ever had. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone."
