The pictures indicate an older home, which is true. But, I was surprised to see the number of aspects of the home that looked close to breaking (bathroom towel hanger, couch leg, HVAC vent) or were repaired in a minimalist manner. The home is overall safe and functional and was fine for me and a buddy, but I wouldn't bring my family here - just a little too dated and potential for things to break.

I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Very roomy and well laid out. Ony 1 AC in upstairs bedroom. Alot of dust all over and on fans and in vents real thick. The washer and tdyer was amazing and the hot tub was perfect. I would stay again. Better then a hotel room for sure. Great water pressure. Big plus

Hemlock Stay

It was a great stay!!! Our puppies enjoyed staying warm in the house and snuggled up on the couch while we enjoyed the beautiful hikes and hot tub!!The Eben Ice Caves were about an hour from the house but it was so worth the drive to visit! Great stay, we will be back!

Hemlock House

This was the second time we stayed at Hemlock house. We have a camp on Chief Lake and needed the extra room for family. Everything worked out great! Easy check-in, clean and a quiet place to stay!

Nice place but out of the way.

The property was great, internet was adequate for the location and having satellite TV helped. The Hot tub was a little small but it works. If you are staying here to travel to Marquette and back it's about a 70 mile round trip drive. It's doable, you just have to plan ahead and be aware of the gas costs. Great value for the price though and if you want to just get away from everyone this is a good spot.

Fishing trip

My fishing buddy and I did our annual trip to the UP and choose this location. The home more than met our needs, very clean, kitchen was very good, beds were comfortable, and it had Direct TV that gave us some entertainment in the evening after a long day on the lake. It was located in what i would describe as a quiet Blue-Collar neighborhood with a school just down at the end of the street. The only thing that woke me up in the night was some coyote's howling in the neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Celebration

We were attending a family Celebration of Life and this provided us with a place to unwind, relax and get away from the commotion of the huge gathering. It was nice having a firepit to sit around and have wine in the evening and there was plenty of room to spread out for alone time. The hot tub was an added surprise, though we did not use it as the weather was very warm and we swam in the nearby Michigammee River. After initial confusion on my part at check-in (it's a duplex and I went to the wrong side, which is undergoing remodeling) we were able to enjoy ourselves and appreciate our stay.

Quite cozy house

I stayed here while working at Tilden mine. I stayed 12 days. I worked nights and slept all day. Very nice setup, house was furnished with everything you need. I did alot of cooking and grilling while here. Super nice to have laundry available to use. I was very comfortable and felt like at home, prices where better than area hotels.

This property is as listed - clean and comfortable. I stayed in the area for the polar roll bike race in ishpeming and the location worked well for me. I appreciate having my dogs along.
