I would love to give this townhouse 5 stars but I can't due to the management company and their lack of responsiveness and customer service.
First, the good. A lot was very good. The place is beautifully laid out and spacious. Everything was clean and it was nice to have a downstairs bedroom and full bathroom so our older guests did not have to climb as many steps. The screened in 2nd floor porch is wonderful and was my favorite thing about the unit. I brought my own sheets and towels, but they were provided except for pool/beach towels, but I knew that in advance. It was great to have a washer/dryer for wet towels..
The not "as good."
1. We walk into the kitchen upon arrival and the dishwasher is FILLED with dishes. They were clean, but I don't go on vacation to unload the dishwasher especially with dishes used by the previous tenants. To me, this is not "fully cleaned" and ready for us
2. For FIVE people for SIX days, we were given TWO rolls of toilet paper for FOUR bathrooms. There were no rolls of toilet paper on any of the rolls in the bathrooms and they said they provided toilet paper, but that is obviously not enough. I had to go out and buy 6 rolls of toilet paper and I left it so the next renters would have some.
3. There was ONE roll of paper towels. Again for 6 days and five people. Had to buy paper towels.. Also ONE garbage bag for all week. So be prepared and bring your own. If I knew I would have but they said they provided it.
4. Ice maker was broken but they did not tell us or leave a note. So went to use ice maker and it made a mess. Was dripping all week from accumulated ice frosting over and melting. Gross. And fridge has water damage on the front probably from this.
5. No grilling utensils. Says in the guide book there are but there were none to be found. I don't know if someone stole them or what. Luckily again even though it said there were grilling utensils I brought one.
After we checked in, the management company texted me. I told them of the issues and texted back and forth with them for 3 days. They never followed up, never sent or had someone from the local office contact us and never addressed the issues. They apologized and said they would escalate it and mark it urgent but never heard from anyone from Vacasa customer service or Vacasa Delaware. Do not feel valued or cared for by Vacasa. I would avoid renting from a place managed by them again.
