Overall, we liked the property and its location. However, there were annoyances from the start:
1) Contradictory instructions from property mgmt on how to check in. Check-in is only after 3 PM, but the office closes at 3 PM on a Sunday, and the instructions said I need to go to the office for check-in. How could I manage that? I called the office beforehand to find out I could go straight to the property. Crisis averted, but mgmt is not paying attention to their own listing and check-in details.
2) Management's instructions for locking the property door are incorrect, and led to a delay in getting out of the house to visit the beach. We called mgmt, telling them of our issue, and prompting someone to come out, however, we figured out what we needed to do just through sheer trial and error. Again, another sign that mgmt's instructions are not in sync with reality.
3) The biggest problem was the swimming pool. From the first day, there were signs of algal growth in the corners of the pool floor. After the second day, we didn't feel safe even getting into the pool, as growth exploded, the water got cloudy, and it didn't seem like any electrolysis/chlorination process was occurring. By the 4th day, algae was floating on the surface (I have pics). The pool was the main reason for booking this particular place, so this was highly disappointing and will keep us from coming back.
4) Just include linens and charge more $. None of this lame extra-charge crap for "linen service."
