"I enjoyed my stay and recommend staying there. I decided to stay after taking the bus from Beijing to see the Great Wall on a tour. The next day - I could explore the wall and the small town on my own. The accommodation was nice and the family that runs the hotel/homestay was really friendly. "Peaceful, respectful and tastefully set retreat right under the gaze of the mountains and the great wall. Staff were very accommodating and professional and helped with travel, hiking and access to and from the great wall. Food and room were really good and gym/spa facilities 24hr opening very welcome to soak in the mountain air. Well worth a visit for a day or two. "

"We loved the location. It is in a beautiful, quaint neighborhood, very near to main attractions like the Forbidden City. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. It is fun to stay in a place with so much character. Our kids loved staying in the upstairs loft. We would definitely stay here again. "
