Fantastic stay

Puffin Cottage was a great find. The location was very central to Cornwall and the beach itself was only a minute walk. The cottage had everything you needed including small things like washing and dishwasher tablets. Everything was immaculate and we all enjoyed our stay. Communication was great with the owners and the fresh pasties and the bottle of wine on arrival was very well received. We would come back.

Puffins galore

Zeer comfortabele cottage in het midden van Portreath in een hele rustige buurt. Het kleine terrasje krijgt 's middags de zon - lekker om buiten te zitten.

Fabulous property

Puffin cottage was beautiful..clean and tidy..perfect location just 3 minutes walk from beach which is lovely..ideal base for touring cornwall..We were a family of 6, 4 adults 2 children it met all our needs..large family bathroom..beds comfy.. will definitely rebook..parking for 2 cars out the back of the property.

Portrearth Holiday Cottage

Lovely cottage very handily located just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and other local facilities. Comfortable accommodation with a nice little outside patio area which is a real sun-trap.

WONDERFUL STAY!

Puffin Cottage is presented to a very high standard in all aspects. The decor and furniture are excellent and there is a very well-equipped and spacious kitchen including a dining area. The lounge has a Smart T.V. - as do the double bedrooms - and there is plenty of comfortable seating. The bathroom is very modern with a showerbath - make sure you read the instructions in the property manual for getting hot water and operating the taps - . Outside, the patio area at the back of the house is a great place to catch the sun during the morning and afternoon, and in the evening the front garden is an equally good place to sit and watch the world go by. The garage provided a very useful place to store beach equipment and body boards. Puffin Cottage is less than 2 minutes walk to the beach, which was fantastic. Within 5 minutes you can be on the coastal footpaths along the headlands and cliffs that are on either side of Portreath. The bakery, shop and Chinese Takeaway are a 2-3 minute walk, and there is a Tesco Superstore a 10-minute drive away. There are several pleasant pubs in the village. Tamsin was a very attentive and helpful host before and during our visit. Portreath is a lovely, friendly place and the glorious Cornish weather was the icing on the cake for us. We had a wonderful stay in the perfect Puffin Cottage!

A great beachside base!

What a wonderful holiday at Puffin Cottage. The location is perfect for exploring near and far. Portreath beach is right on the doorstep and great for swimming, body boarding, and surfing. The is also good access to the south west coastal path for spectacular local walks. The village caters for all your needs with a small shop, fantastic bakery, and a number of great places to eat. Being just 10 minutes from the A30 means it is easy to explore most other parts of Cornwall by car too. The house itself is lovely; very modern and clean with all the home comforts you could want. Tamsin and Mark are great hosts, who promptly respond if you have any problems. The pasties and wine on arrival were a thoughtful touch too. Just the holiday we needed!

Lovely Accommodation & Great Location

Great accommodation, has everything you need to make your stay comfortable The location for the beach was perfect just 2 minutes which is great for those who like surfing/bodyboarding/ swimming or just walking on the beach. There are plenty of great cafe’s and eateries nearby all of which provided great snacks and food when we went. We will definitely be booking again and highly recommend . A*****

An Excellent Stay

If you want to be close to the beach then this property is perfect. A short stroll and you're there. The property was meticulously clean and well kitted out and any problems we had the hosts were quick to respond and resolve for us.

Family holiday get together

The cottage and location was lovely. So nice to be near the beach. Cottage was very clean and very well equipped. Location easy to get to lots of different places and also some lovely walks.

Puffin Cottage is a clean, well presented family place to spend your holiday break. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Great Location close to the beach

Just returned from a great stay at Puffin Cottage. Property is clean and modern and has everything you need for your stay. Portreath is a really nice place to base yourself to explore western Cornwall. Chinese takeaway was good as was Sanders fish and chips but disappointed with trip to Portreath Arms. Best pasties came from St Agnes bakery along the coast.
