Check in was a breeze. The kitchen had everything we needed (crockpot, airfryer) The back patio sits right on the river and it is so lovely. We will absolutely stay here again. We did not need the AC even in August. We saw rabbits, chipmunks, hummingbrids, bluebirds and even a deer just from the back patio.

Cabin in Need of Repairs

Cabin apparently needs quite a bit of updating and repair. Sinks did not drain properly. Refrigerator went out on us so we had to use coolers for food storage. Oven does not work either. Mattresses seemed old and soft. Stayed at this property a year ago and nothing had been taken care of in the last year. The property is definitely not worth the higher price we paid for rental.

Fall Break vacation

The house is nice just right next to the main road in and out of the neighborhood. Also, had a problem with a bathtub. Called to get it fixed and the plumber came out but said it’s a big job and couldn’t fix it that day!

Fish off the back porch

This house was the perfect size for our extended family and fur babies. We loved being able to sit and listen to the stream running in the evening while the kids fished. Town was just a short walk away. Unfortunately the impact of the wildfires meant that activities in Red River were limited.

Great stay for my small group.

We loved the location of the property next to the stream. Although it’s not mountain-adjacent, it was very close to all amenities. Getting around was not an issue. Would not hesitate to stay in this property again.

Crazy to think we left Texas to get away from the cold and went to New Mexico!

Fabulous Stay

The day we got there the River was being stocked with trout. The guys had no problem catching trout all during our stay. The accommodations were very comfortable, clean, and about 3 minutes from Red River. We brought back wonderful memories.

Not so relaxing cozy retreat

The property is nice and cozy. There are a few things that were unexpected such as: The home back up to the main road and next to the entry way of the neighborhood. The noise of vehicles can be heard all day especially in the master bedroom. I found people will walk around all hours of the night which is unsettling. You can only reach the patio by going through the master or 2nd bedroom. Trash was left in the kitchen trash can to include a dead mouse. No trash bags were left at property. Cleanliness was okay. They’re An abundance of cob webs inside and outside the property. The gate of the dog run was not well kept so I didn’t utilize it. The property backs up to the creek which is awesome. We say chipmunks, ducks, fish and deer during our stay. The only downside is there is no privacy. The creek attracts a lot of fishermen all times of day. We visited on the busy Labor Day weekend. All and all it’s a nice home and I may stay again a slower time of year for Red River.

Fishing out your back door!

My family had a great experience fishing right out our back door and down the river with lots of public access. The fire pit was a hit each night. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen equipment. The gas grill worked perfectly.

Red River weekend.

Home worked well for our family of 6. Very comfortable home and we really enjoyed being on the river. Outdoor firepit was great but needs replacement. Location excellent for our day trips to the scenic areas.. Excellent weekend.
