  • Rent “Blind Jakes” a gem of a property and be inspired by the history and landscape that the legendary western artist Charlie Russell felt years ago. Located in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains (Lewis and Clark National Forest) across from Russell point, out the front gate, you will access hundreds of miles of maintained ATV, snowmobile and 4x4 trails. If fishing or hunting is on your agenda you’re in luck (hunting district 448). A stroll out the front door is the S. Fork of the Judith River where brook trout swim. Snowshoeing, fire pit, elk viewing, bird watching, swimming hole... it’s all here. This quaint 900 sq ft 1 bed, 1 bath cabin (sleeps 3) is well suited for any Montana adventurer(s).

    Remote, charming , homey and memorable with incredible scenery and abundant wildlife. If hiking, inquire about the trail to “Window Rock” for a quick uphill hike to a pass through cave w stunning views of our valley. This is truly an epic area for outdoor adventurers or anyone who wants to relax in a very comfortable, well appointed, true Montanan cabin with lots of good feels. This property is security surveilled at the front and rear entrances.🙂

If I could provide a 50 star rating for this dream cabin in the Little Belt Mountain range I would jump on that option. Communications with the owner (Kim) was top notch, the cabin was exactly as pictured and the setting was simply breath taking. As I told my wife this must be what heaven looks like. Would LOVE to return in the future & we have personally recommend this cabin to our Wisconsin friends.

Cabin was very clean, had amazing views with trails nearby and alot of wildlife. We woke up one morning with 2 bull elk walking 60 yards from the bedroom window!

The cabin was exactly as prescribed with a well appointed kitchen and tastefully designed living, bathroom and bedroom spaces. The bed was comfortable too! The cabin was more than what we had hoped to experience during our stay. Kimberly was quick to respond to questions and very gracious. We will definitely be back with family. If you seek a quiet experience with great mountain range views in all directions yet with access to internet services this is the place! Of course sitting by the fire after the sun goes down was top notch.

Absolutely beautiful views. The way the cabin eas furnished/decorated was both adorable and super cozy, though I personally wasn't a huge fan of all the taxidermy. But best of all, it was super peaceful, to the point that even our dogs slept clear through the night, which they never do at home. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Cabin

This was an amazing cabin in the mountains with wildlife all around. The bumpy drive to it is totally worth it!

Vacation getaway

The cabin was perfect for me and my husband to get away to for a few days. Lovely views and hiking spots. 10/10 would recommend for anyone visiting Montana.

Honeymoon Trip

Cabin was very nice and perfect for a week long trip. Town is pretty far away so plan for long trips if you need to go anywhere. Beautiful scenery and cabin!

Great getaway cabin

Awesome cabin that is easy to get to yet out in the wilds...with excellent USFS access. The cabin is very well appointed, clean and super comfortable. The hosts are very responsive. This is a 5-star VRBO all the way.

Clean, cozy cabin in the woods

Great little cabin in the woods. Very well stocked with all amenities we could ask for. Very comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, DVD movies, great shower, plenty of outdoor games to play! It made a great base camp for hiking and fishing in the area.

My husband and I, along with our dog, Rizz, stayed for five days and four nights, and I cannot adequately put into words how much we enjoyed this cabin. We hiked, we drove the road to the Russian Flats (where we saw Mule Deer and Elk), played fetch with Rizz in the spacious yard, and we just relaxed. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet setting, this place is it! The cabin gives an off-the-grid feel, but you don't have to miss out of luxeries like running water, electricity, and high speed internet. The house itself is small, but so cozy and felt like home. I would not hesitate to stay again, and thoroughly recommed it.

The summary here is easy. It was extraordinary. The hosts, the cabin, the mountains, the valley, the elk...everything. Kimberly was fabulous, I can't say enough about her or the cabin. I didn't do my research, I should've rented an SUV for the unpaved road to the cabin but we made it in a little Toyota anyway. The area, it's history, and obviously its people are amazing, I'd give it an 11 out of 10!!
