"We stayed at the Kings Head last weekend and had a lovely time. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. "Just spent 4 nights at the Brown Horse Inn. The staff were great. Food for breakfast and evening meal was excellent particularly the roast on Sunday. Great choice for breakfast. The Inn is very well placed to explore the South Lakes. Would happily recommend."

"The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs."

"Property staff were going arm and welcoming. The inn is dated and not exceptionally maintained. There were loose fittings, mold in bathrooms and the curtains were missing some hooks and drooped a bit. The location and setting were classic, but for the cost the quality lagged a bit."
