"Out of all the places we stayed on our north/South Island journey, this is the house we wished we’d had an extra night. The house is lovely, clean, and walking distance along the riverside foot path to the town, where you can grab lunch or set out on an adventure. The balcony has views of the mountain and the kitchen has the essentials. The hosts were super responsive on an issue we had with the hot tub and went above and beyond to make sure al was well."

"Loved staying here and waking up to that view. The horse was cute. Being pet friendly was a giant bonus and my dogs loved running around the property. Owner is super lovely. I read some people saying they had no reception but if youre with Spark the reception is excellent."

The house was warm when you started heating up the fireplace. The host was very helpful and even allowed us to check in early and check out late due to some delayed situations. "This was my second stay and it was perfect, we did the Tongariro crossing and the homes location to national park and surrounding walks and activities makes it the perfect option if you want something cheap. For the price it’s what you expect. It’s no luxury hotel but it has more then enough for what you pay for"

"This was our first ‘extended’ family trip. Eight of us in total, 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 2, 6, 9, 15). The house and outside area was fantastic and fit for purpose. There was plenty of room so we didn’t feel on top of each other. Fantastically stocked kitchen, has every utensil and pot you’d need. Enough beds/bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely big lounge area and the outside was a dream! Enjoyed the walk to the stream and the swing seat and see-saw kept the younger kids entertained. Lovely and...
