Great week long stay

Comfortable, roomy, had lots of extras in the kitchen area, beds were also comfortable, parking was easy, owner was awesome to work with before & during, would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Great place to stay in South Dakota

This little 3 bedroom condo was perfect for our short trip to the Black Hills. It was close to everything we anted to see in South Dakota. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. If we ever came back, we would definitely say here again!

We enjoyed our stay here. The place was comfortable and great to come home to after a busy day. David had many recommendations for the must sees in the area. The neighbors were all very friendly, we felt safe and welcomed!

Amazing hosts + Great location

We had the whole place to ourselves and the hosts were very gracious. They gave us so much local insight that it felt like we had a friend in the area! The location is also amazing. It’s within walking distance of a beautiful park. It’s also pretty equidistant to all the national and state parks in the area, which is fantastic for those who are exploring the great outdoors!

Excellent rental

Excellent location in Rapid City where there is plenty of shopping and things to do. Rental was located within reasonable driving distance of many attractions including mount rushmore, the Badlands, Jewel cave, Custer State Park, and Crazy Horse. Also close to the excellent reptile gardens which we took advantage of on a rainy day. David was an excellent host who gave us many suggestions of things to do and strategies on how to do them best and most efficiently. We even got to do a little stargazing on a clear night less than 20 minutes from the rental. I would definitely recommend this rental to others.

Great time in Rapid City

House was in a great location — 10 minutes or so from all the restaurants and bars in town and on the side of town closest to the historical sites. Neighborhood is quiet and the house itself is spacious and well maintained. Plenty of room for a larger group although it was just my wife and me. Would recommend to anyone coming to the area and would stay here again if we were to return.

Perfect location and super quiet

This townhouse was perfect for us and we would definitely stay again. Everything was very clean and well equipped. We loved that two of the bedrooms have king size beds and the beds were very comfortable. There were lots of thoughtful touches throughout and the location was super quiet. The owners were very responsive and helpful when we had a question.

Great Stay in Rapid City, SD

Hosts were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Town home was spotless. Kitchen fully stocked and we really enjoyed the selection of coffee and flavored syrups. The neighborhood is family oriented and quiet and we felt very comfortable.

Great Experience

The beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. We made all breakfasts at the property and a few dinners. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was nice to have a washer and dryer at our disposal! David was very nice and had good recommendations for places to eat and visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved it!

Last rental on a weeklong road trip. It was great! Comfortable and clean. Room for all 6 of us. The owners gave us a great list of places to check out. We didn’t have time for everything we wanted to do so and will definitely come back.

No surprises

Idlewild Pines was exactly as advertised. No surprises. David, the property owner was a dream to work with. Everything was clean and cozy. We were meeting up with family that we haven't seen in years, and we all had an amazing time ❤️. I highly recommend Idlewild Pines to anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

Great stay!

We found the location of this property to be great for all the locations we wanted to visit—Mt. Rushmore, Badlands, Custer, Devil’s Tower, Hill City. deadwood’s and more! Had we known how beautiful the local lake/park was we would have allowed time to enjoy it as well! The townhome had comfy beds, adequate space, local sites highlighted in the decor/art. The beds were comfy, nice to have a washer and dryer, and it was appreciated to have soaps, shampoo, etc provided.

Worked Perfectly for Our Family!

The owner reached out from the moment we booked the home, until we left, to be sure any questions were answered. The home was clean and in a very quiet part of town in an culd-de-sac. The neighborhood felt very safe to take morning or evening walks. The home is a four-plex but very sound, so don’t worry about hearing the neighbors. It was close to a gas station and not far from two grocery stores which is very convenient. Overall an amazing host and a great home! Will be back!
